-Chapter 10--Silently Watched-
Right now my father was lecturing both the boys in front of me. I silently watched them while I sat on the couch not daring to make a single sound to not bring any bad energy towards me at all.
My father right now looks really freaking scary. It's the first time seeing him like this... Without a contagious smile on his face. He looked so serious, it was kind of unnerving.
I honestly don't know how Kevin does it... How can he keep his cool demeanor like that?
If it was me in his place, right now, I would have been fidgeting in my spot with tears running down my face nonstop, as I stutter to get any words out of my quivering lips.
As I rapidly search around for a way out before things head South.
"-But you couldn't have at least left me or your mother a small message? " My father questions the boys. You could see my father holding back on not whacking them on the head to make them understand how worried he was for them.
My father waited the whole night yesterday and even skipped work to wait for them. That's how worried he was for their safety.
Kevin at this very moment looked extremely bored out of his mind. You can see it in his eyes that he was losing patience. He just wanted to be done with this whole conversation and move on.
"Our phone died... What could we have done?" Kevin shrugged his shoulders, as he nonchalantly said that to my father.
Is this guy freaking crazy?
Is he really trying to piss my dad off?
Leo jabs Kevin with his right elbow at his side and Leo immediately gave his twin a look that clearly signaled -To -shut -the -fuck -up or else.
"I'm just going, to be honest with you... We got way too drunk to leave you guys a message or come back home by car... so we played it a little bit safe and stayed at one of our buddy's houses.
We won't do it, again." When he said that he instantly looked at Kevin with a glare when Kevin rolled his eyes at his brother's last words.
At first, I believed Leo a little bit... When he said they won't do it again and that they were regretful about their actions. But, when Kevin responded like that I instantly knew he was flatly lying to my dad's face.
Do they both have a death wish or something? Because they're literally asking for it at this point.
My father lets out a long exhausting sigh catching on to what was happening "Both of you are going to be the death of me, I swear... "

Ms. Nancy emerged from the kitchen with a smile on her face... I'm officially scared of this woman. She has more mood swings than a pregnant woman in her last month of having birth.
She had that warmest smile on her face that could deceive the most innocent... if you were naive enough you probably wouldn't see the fire that is growing in her bright eyes... Her eyes were telling a very different story.
She slowly walks up to my father and hugs him from behind "Let them be honey. Don't stress yourself out with these kids.
I'll talk to them, later.
I'll make sure they won't do it, again." when those words came out of her pink glossy lips, Leo visibly tensed up as a soft frown overtook his calm complexion.
Kevin on the other hand had a very straight face on. It was terrifying to see him like that... So cold and distant. You can never really tell what he is thinking at all.
His eyes looked soulless, you couldn't really see any emotion in them giving anything away.
He was like a damn paradox. Nothing gets in and nothing gets out... I will never understand that dude and his actions at all.
My father turns around and lightly kisses her on the lips "Fine. You deal with them." She doesn't glance over at them or at me at all. Instead, she guides my father towards the dining room.
My father gladly follows along like a man who has been enchanted by a beautiful witch that had him seduced by her soft delicate voice and innocent vibrant blue eyes that seem to look like she doesn't hold any ill will towards the man that's following her without a second thought.
My eyes instantly go to the twin guys that were silently watching them.
I sat there quietly observing the two twins, one of them looked more pissed off than before while the other one looked so tensed out. He looked like he didn't want to be in his skin at all at this precise moment.
In his eyes, you could see it... it dims as it loses its gentle spark that shines through them from time to time... Like you could catch a glimpse of the end of the world in his light brown eyes.
Leo notices me staring at him and doesn't dwell in his ongoing worry thoughts that are running through his head, anymore.
Instead, He made his way towards me. The worried look in his eyes disappeared completely as the gentle glow retook its place, again.
Kevin doesn't even look my way at all... he heads directly towards the dining room, still with a cold expression on his face.
You could sense the bad vibes bouncing off of him in waves. Thank goodness he isn't gazing at me with those dark grey eyes that were filled with resentment and unimaginable hatred boiling inside them.

This guy is like a ticking bomb nobody knows when it's going to erupt or how much damage it will cause when it does explode.
You could not predict the aftermath of it, and that's just the alarming part of him... What would he do to take out all his built-up anger?
Or on who will he take it out on?
My attention gets cut short when I feel Leo pick me up into his strong arms in one swift movement. He deeply chuckles when I get startled by his sudden action towards me.
Man, I'm never going to get used to this... being carried like this by another person.
Being helped so much and taken care of like this... It felt really nice. If only my little old self had this kind of treatment when she needed it most... Maybe, she wouldn't have cried so much for so much lack of attention from her guardians back home.
He was being so gentle towards me, too... It was like he was trying to not break the delicate flower that he is holding in his hands right now.
My cheeks began to warm up and it was so unusual for me to feel this odd emotion that doesn't leave me for a second when this guy is close to me.
Why is that?... I don't know, but my heart wasn't acting right. And my body either because every nerve in my body tingles whenever our skin touches.
We make it to the dining room and again he sits me on his lap without a second thought.
My face instantly warms up, more again. Is there really no more chairs anywhere... there must be one, somewhere inside this enormous house.
Don't tell me he's going to do this until they buy the new table.
Wait a minute, Kevin has an extra chair in his room... When I was about to ask for it someone interrupted me before I could alter a single word out.
A strong chuckle erupts inside the big dining room. My eyes instantly went up to the person with the gentle laughter that was so infectious that you wouldn't help but laugh with him if you heard him laugh.
It was my father cracking up while he slightly shakes his head lightly as his amused eyes gleamed more than before.
He didn't look so furious, anymore... This nervous feeling that was eating me inside my chest creased a little. The tension from before disappeared completely not leaving any dark smokes lingering in the air.
"My poor little girl, your cheeks are so red. What's wrong ?"He says softly as his small smile widens.
I peeked up for a quick second to Leo... and Leo had this little smirk on his face as he gazed down at me with glee.
I began nervously playing with the hem of my long-sleeved black shirt that belonged to Leo as I averted his dark eyes.
Ms. Nancy begins eating her breakfast without saying a word.
"I'm not used to sitting on people's lap... it's unusual. "I said quietly as I didn't dare look up to Leo, again. Especially someone that makes me feel so nervous to be around for some reason.
"I've noticed. "He smiles as he begins to take a bite of his pancake dripped in honey. I was so relieved that he wasn't mad anymore with the guys. Not that I care about them... But for the simple fact that I don't really have to be on the edge of my seat when tension is high in the air- waiting to see if things go south and drag me with the torrent.
Leo begins to cut up the pancake in little square pieces for me, we were basically eating from the same plate. He hands me a fork and he urges me to take a bite.
Kevin was completely silent as he devoured his breakfast, he looked like he didn't even want to be, here... But, he would occasionally take a small quick peek at me and then back down on his breakfast as a little frown reappears to disappear on his face in seconds.
By the time, I know it. I was alone in my bedroom, again.
Leo brought me upstairs a while ago and tucked me into bed before he left for school with his twin brother. Kevin hasn't tried talking to me or approaching me at all this whole morning.
And honestly, it's starting to scare me more than it should. I should feel relieved that he is ignoring me but something doesn't feel right.
What is he planning now in that cynical mind of his? I simply don't trust that he learned his lesson that what he did to me was completely wrong.
I just have a sense that from here on out things are going to get worse, and this storm that is starting to form slowly was going to leave someone hurt.
And I honestly hope it is not me.
