I was talking about something happening on May 13th and Mom interupted me--shocker!--to say to Dad, "That's when we started dating."

"On Friday the 13th?" I asked them.

"Yeah, that should've been my first clue," Mom said, rolling her eyes.

"Hey! I gave you them," said Dad, gesturing to Little Sister and I.

Mom looked at us uninterested and said, "Yeah, thanks. You know, I was 140 pounds when I met you."

"I was smaller too," Dad countered.

"Yeah, but you got fat because I made you good food, because I'm an excellent cook. I got fat because you were horny."
