I slept until noon and I went into the living room where Mom and Dad were. As soon as he saw me, Dad said, "What's up with that? You have school tomorrow."

Then Mom pointed behind her to the kitchen and said, "Oh, we got you Timmy's."

"You guys left?" I asked a little confused.

Dad said, "Yeah, for about three hours."

"You left me alone?!'

Mom said, "No, of course not. The dog was here." She smiled and patted the puppy at her feet.

Dad laughed a little and said, "Oh, I don't even think we locked the door."
