"Do boys ever grow up?" Mom asked upon Dad showing her another one of the thousands of 'big boy' toys he wants.

"Maybe when I break some bones. Then I'll grow up," he said.

"You've broken your back, and your knee," I said.

"And your toes, a few fingers, your nose," Little Sister said.

"And you've still got that scar on your forehead," I pointed at his forehead, "from hitting your head on the doorknob."

He looked and us and shrugged, laughing, "Yeah, I'm never growing up."
