Believe what you will, but I believe in ghosts, as does the rest of the family. There are so many freaky things that happen to myself, Mom, Dad, and Little Sister.

Back story: Mom is visited by spirits when she awakens in the middle of the night, by people or animals close to us, three days before they die.

One day in English, my teacher started about ghosts and how she believed in them.

Mom said, "Did you tell her about you?"

I said, "No, this was a class discussion. I didn't need the whole class knowing about us."

She said, "What do you mean, us?"

I said, "Dad has a guardian angel in a fedora attached to him, Little Sister gets bad feelings before bad shit happens, you see dead people, and I have a ghost girl following me."

Mom said, "Woah, I do not see dead people."

I said, "Fine, you see pre-dead people."

Mom said, "You mean, living people?" She starts laughing and says, "You see pre-dead people, too, KC."
