《SUNRISE ༘ bakugo katsuki》14

You pulled up outside Katsuki's apartment. Waiting for him outside your car with a scarf around your neck.
Winter was fast approaching with only a few weeks left 'til Christmas. The awaited Christmas break was literally what you needed.
The ongoing project was flowing smoothly, and even though Camie was pretty good in the team, you absolutely disliked her when she's in the gym.
You saw Katsuki stepping out of his unit and he saw you. You waved at him and he nodded.
"The temperature's dropping lately, you don't have a scarf with you?" You asked and opened the door for him.
"I can open it by myself, idiot. And no, the gym warms me up so I don't need a scarf." Katsuki says and gets inside the car. You got in as well and drove to the company.
"Still, when it snows you're really going to need a scarf." You said. "And a coat." You added.
"I'll get new ones some time. The ones I have at home grew small on me." Katsuki says, muttering the last part.
You parked and turned the engine off. Stepping outside of the car together with Katsuki.
"I'll give you a ride home, Katsuki." You said as the two of you walked towards the elevator.
Katsuki sighed. "Nah," I'm relying on you too much, "I'm going to take the bus later since the gym will close a bit early today."
You hummed and pressed the buttons 2 and 3. "Okay. What time will you leave?"
Katsuki incredulously looks at you. "So, what? You'll end early so you can send me home?"
"No, I just wanted to know."
Katsuki blushed furiously. He felt so embarrassed that he wanted the ground to swallow him whole so bad.
"Around 7 or something..." Katsuki muttered and looked away with a face of shame mixed with anger. You nodded.
As the doors open, you glance at Katsuki. "See you." You said and Katsuki nodded. Then you left to work.
Katsuki arrives at the gym, changing his clothes and helping out Kirishima with the equipment.
"Bakubro!" Kirishima exclaims and pats Katsuki's back. "What are you planning for Christmas?" He asked.
"Some peace and quiet." Katsuki answers to which Kirishima laughs.

"You're telling us to come over at your place on Christmas, right? Okay!" Kirishima says and leaves to get his phone to call Denki.
Katsuki wore an irritated expression. I never said that.
Around 6 in the evening, the gym was beginning to close. Katsuki took his bag from the changing room and was about to leave together with Kirishima when Sekijiro called him.
"Here." Sekijiro gave Katsuki a paperbag. Katsuki raised a brow as he took it. "What's this?"
"L/N stopped by here around lunch and told me to give it to you when you leave." Sekijiro says. "Well, I'll turn the lights off now."
"Woah, no way! Is that an early Christmas gift?" Kirishima says as he tries to peek inside the paperbag, which was stapled close.
Katsuki moves away from him. "It's not!" Katsuki yells as they enter the elevator. Kirishima proceeds with teasing as he wiggle his eyebrows.
"You got a gift from L/N~ Hehe." Kirishima says but Katsuki decided to ignore him.
"Just open it, man." Kirishima says. "Tch." Katsuki went to the restroom as they arrived at the first floor. "I'll wait outside!" Kirishima says and Katsuki enters the restroom.
He opened the paperbag and saw a small piece of paper on top of a red cloth.
wear this, it's cold
He takes the red cloth and spreads it wide.
It was a scarf.
Katsuki's hands were slightly shaking as he wore the scarf. He didn't know why he was shaking, but his lips unconsciously formed a smile.
He steps out of the restroom and Kirishima immediately notices the scarf. He grinned so widely and was about to tease Katsuki about it but bit off his tongue as he noticed Katsuki's face.
Katsuki looked excited as he tried to suppress a smile from his face.
Kirishima felt happy that Katsuki was happy as well. "Let's go!" Kirishima says, hanging an arm around Katsuki's shoulder as they exit the building.
Kirishima's never seen Katsuki so excited before. He decided not to ruin his best-friend's giddiness.
While eyes solely focused on the computer screen, your phone buzzed, indicating a message. You swiftly took it from your bag.
thanks
i'll pay you tomorrow
Consider it a
gift.

How about you

way?
and that is?
Spend Christmas
with me.
Katsuku choked on his food and Kirishima immediately gave him water while patting his back. "You okay, man? You saw something lewd, didn't you?"
"Shut up!" Katsuki yells while Kirishima laughs. Katsuki's phone buzzed again.
If you don't have
other plans, that is.
"You should say yes."
Katsuki's eyes widened as he noticed Kirishima peeking. "WHAT THE FUCK GET AWAY YOU'RE INVADING MY PRIVACY!"
Kirishima laughed and backed away. "Sorry sorry. But you should say yes. We can hang out at your place with Denki some other time." He says.
Katsuki stared at Kirishima as he felt his chest swelling.
"The fuck, don't look at me like that, I know I'm a good person, you're looking at me as if this is the first time I've done something nice to you." Kirishima said and grimaced.
nah im good
You felt your stomach doing flips as you read the text and your lips formed the smallest smile.
You couldn't wait for Christmas break.
One day on a weekend, Camie invited you and Katsuki to come with her since she wanted to buy something in the mall for next week's Christmas break.
You and Katsuki arrived at the meeting spot and saw Camie. "Hi! Glad you made it!" Camie cheered and stood between you and Katsuki, her arm linked with your left arm and her other arm linked with Katsuki's right arm.
"Tch." Katsuki looks away and Camie laughs at him.
"It's nice to spend the day with two handsome men!" She says and drags the both of you inside the mall.
She would step out of the fitting room wearing her chosen outfit and would ask for comments. You on the other hand paid close attention to how Katsuki would react and what he would say. While Katsuki did the same to you.
Occasional 'it's good', 'eh', 'they're pretty on you', and 'so-so' comments were heard from you and Katsuki.
Camie ended up buying a lot and she made the both of you carry the paperbags.
The sun was already setting and Camie called it a day. The three of you stepped out of the mall, waiting outside to call a cab.
Camie stretched her arms. "What a day! I could sleep for a week!"
"You're not even carrying these, you stupid bitch!" Katsuki yells and Camie laughs at him.
"You're very funny! But you'd look more handsome when you shut up, could you please?" Camie said.
"YOU SHUT UP!"
Camie laughed harder, wiping a slipping tear from her eye. "Don't you agree, Y/N?" Camie asked, giving you a glance. Katsuki's eyes widen and he looks at you as well.
"Indeed. But he'd look good either way." You said, pertaining that Katsuki looked handsome whether he shuts his mouth or not.
Katsuki could feel the heat slowly crawling up to his cheeks as he raised the red scarf a little higher, an attempt to hide the light tint of pink on his cheeks.
"Saying that wouldn't mean your workout plan would be less intense, stupid." Katsuki says with a glare.
"Ah, and here I thought I could cut off some slack." You said.
Camie began to laugh once more. "You guys are really funny! It must be nice being complimented by someone you like." Camie says, pointing a finger on her cheek with a pout.
"You find everything funny- HUH?!" Katsuki raises his voice and your eyes widened when you glanced at Camie, who only looked clueless. Feigning clueless, that is.
Camie hummed, bringing a finger on her chin as she posed. "Don't you like each other?" She asked.
Like?
"Oy oy," Katsuki stammered, "shut your fly trap and hail a cab." He said angrily and nudged the woman.
Ah. When you wanted to stay close to him, when you wanted to always give him a ride home, when you always hoped that you'd bump into him in the convenience store when you go there at night, when you waited for him to close the gym for nearly half an hour so you could send him home safely, when you went out of your way to buy him a scarf that would match his fiery red eyes, despite having a tight schedule because of the ongoing project, when you feel giddy all of a sudden when you see him, when you feel your chest tighten when Camie clings to him, when you felt your heart skipped a beat when you kissed him.
Romance. You were feeling it for the first time.

Debut: the day every young gentleperson of age gathers to receive their Spirit Blessing and shift for the first time into their second form. Except for those who don't. Beatrice's worst fear is to be one of the unlucky few trapped perpetually in a human body, cut off from the magic of the spirits and unfit for any respectable pack or pride. But when the time comes to face her fear, the outcome is one she never could have imagined. Be warned, this story is some highly experimental fluff—an unapologetically girly, unrelentingly bisexual, Regency/Victorian-ish fantasy mish-mash. It does have a dark side, though, so don’t come in expecting all sunshine and roses. Worthy of note, given the reputation of shifter stories: there will be no explicit sex in this tale. There will, however, be lots of polyamorous romance, necromancy, portal magic, capricious spirits, elemental mages, an unconventional take on shifters and a highly ordered society built around their existence.
