《parties // billie eilish》Chapter 61: Ready for a ride?

Eventually, I stop crying and I feel ashamed of letting my tears spill out in front of a stranger but I couldn't help it at all.

"You should rest now, Ember. Christina and I planned on eating at a restaurant not too far away and you guys are welcome to go with us," Charles says, patting my back before returning to reading his book. With quiet steps, I walk over the floor to exit the room. As I walk upstairs, I see the bathoom door next to the bedroom where Billie and I will sleep. Immediately, I walk inside and lock the door before turning the water on. I splash some of the liquid onto my face to hide the fact that I've been crying because I don't want Billie to worry about a non existing-problem. It takes a while, but I eventually manage to hide any sign of my breakdown during the coversation with Charles. Suddenly, someone knocks on the door. I sigh, already realising who it is.

"Babe, are you in there?" The familiar voice says and I don't answer before opening the door to face her. She looks pretty surprised so I guess that she was expecting me to be mad or something.

"Hey," I say, trying to sound brave after the talk.

"How did it go?" She asks, grabbing my shoulders as she probably realises that I don't want to have this conversation.

"It was okay, I guess," I shrug, making Billie furrow her eyebrows. When I see the look on her face, I realise that she's not as stupid as I was expecting and I immediately look away while biting my lip.

''Hey, come here,'' she mumbles before putting her hand on my chin, gently forcing me to face her. When my dark eyes meet her blue, I fall into her embrace, making her stroke my hair as I inhale her scent. The fabric of her dark blue hoodie is pressing against my cheek, the lonely tear from my eye soaking into it.

''You don't have to talk about it if you don't want to, I'm just proud that you did it,'' she mumbles into my shoulder, tickling my skin.

''Thank you,'' I mumble back, most of my voice beeing muffled by her shirt but I can tell that she heard by the way she pulls me even closer. We just stay there for a while, outside the bathroom in each other embrace. I would never tell her because I'm such a pussy, but I'm so thankful for her being here and doing everything for me. I'm so used to getting compliments by people who don't mean it and that has made hate compliments overall. I'm afraid that Billie will think that I'm lying to make her happy if I tell her everything I feel. Sure, we do have our late night conversations when we talk about feelings but I need to be ready for that. She is one of the few people that I think it's worth it to open up to. I can open up to her.

''I can tell you what happened,'' I mumble before pulling away, grabbing her hand. I lead her into the bedroom, walking over the dark brown floor before laying down on the bed, not letting go of her hand. She jumps onto the bed and steps over me before laying down behind me, her back pressing against my front as her thumb brushes over my knuckles.

''Basically, Charles and mom weren't that close ever but apparently, she was taking drugs even before I was born, but she lied about stopping when she met dad. When I was born, Charles wanted to take care of me and let me live with him, but that made mom and dad mad because mom was lying about being sober. She apparently said that dad changed her and that made her stop but Charles didn't believe her, so he gave up and left which made him feel guilty and he still does. It's so weird,'' I say, making Billie gasp slightly.

''I'm sorry,'' she mumbles.

''It's okay,'' I say. ''It feels good to know at least.''

''Yeah, but what will you do now?'' She asks.

''He told me that I could stay her for as long as I like, but I just can't be away from y'all. I'd feel so fucking bad,'' I say while shaking my head, my eyes stuck on the carpet.

''Do what feels right for you. Like, stay here if you want to. I would miss you as fuck, though,'' she says, making me turn around so I'm facing her.

''Bro, I'm not leaving you to live here,'' I say, smiling slightly.

''But they are nice,'' she says.

''I know, but I need to have you here,'' I say, leaning in so our lips are just inches from each other. I feel her hot breath on my lips as she moves closer and as soon as our lips comes in contact it feels as if sparks are bouncing inside my body. The kiss soon gets heated as I throw my leg over her hip, straddling her before running a hand through my hair. Her hands moves to my hips and squeezes, encouraging me to grind on her which I do. Small moans and whimpers escapes my mouth as I move against her.

"We can't do this right now," I suddenly say, making her pout. "We are going to get dinner with Charles and Christina."

She nods as I stand up again, walking over to a mirror with a golden frame. I grab my hairbrush and try to make my hair look less like a mess after the heated make out-session.

"Have I ever told you how fucking great your ass looks?" Billie suddenly says from the bed, making me bury my face in my hands in embarrassement.

"Shut up," I mumble.

"No, it's literally perfect," she snaps back immediately.

"Get ready, Bil," I say with a chuckle, wanting to change subject.

"Yeah, I'ma just look at your ass a bit more," she says, bursting out in laughter. This bitch loves giving me shit.

Eventually, Billie gets up and walks past me, slightly touching my arm before grabbing some new clothes from her suitcase. I try not to watch her as she changes, but I can't help as I look in the mirror, seeing how her reflection is pulling of her pants behind me.

When we're both done, I walk downstairs with the blue eyed-girl behind me. Christina and Charles are sitting on the purple couch that I sat on before and they both smile as they see us.

"Let's go, girls!" Christina says, putting one hand each on our backs before leading us out through the door. I haven't seen how the house looks from behind before, so I'm really excited to see how it looks. Both me and Billie gasp as we see the space behind the small house. There are more motorbiks than I can count, most of them black with an old fashioned style with gray details.

"Ready for a ride?" Christina says, throwing a motorcycle helmet at my direction.

I look at Billie who smirks before appraching one of the bikes.

''Hold up, I have never done this before,'' I admit, not wanting to ride a fucking motorbike.

''It's easy, I'll drive and you will just sit behind me and look cool,'' Christina says, the cigarette in her mouth moving around slightly. Billie walks over to me, laughing as she sees how scared I am.

''Come on,'' she says, pushing me against the veichle. Christina sits down on one of them and I can't lie, it looks dope. The bike has flames on the back of it and looks like it's taken straight out of a movie. As she puts her helmet on, I do the same, making sure that it's on completly. My hands are trembling as I wrap them around Christina's waist, making her pat my hand to calm me down.

''Calm down, it's going to be the best thing that you've ever done,'' she says, blowing out some smoke as I look over at Billie who straddles the bike without any problems. How isn't she nervous?

''Let's go!'' Billie shouts as Christina and Charles starts the bikes at the same time and I feel how we start to move. I hold onto Christina for dear life as she gets out on the road. I look behind me to see Billie who's too busy laughing at me. I gasp when she goes faster as we reach the highway, grabbing her waist even harder.

After a while, I get used to the high speed and I manage to calm down and actually enjoy the feeling. The restaurant is not far away, so it just takes ten mintues to reach the small house made of bricks in different shades of red. Christina parks the bike on a small parking lot and I can finally get off the bike and as soon as I do, I run towards Billie, hugging her.

''It was so scary!'' I scream with a laugh, sounding like a five year-old as she hugs me back, laughing as well.

''You're such a pussy,'' she says, making me pout. ''Still love you, though.''

As Charles and Christina approach us, we enter the restaurant which look like the couple's house but less messy. I definetely realise that every single person inside this house right now has a black leather jacket, long beard and a motorcycle parkd outside. Me and Billie are literally the only ones without the black garment wrapped around our bodies. I follow behind Charles and Christina as they walk towards the disk.

''The usual,'' Christina simply says, leaning over the desk as the employe nods before disappearing behind the desk.

''Take a seat,'' Charles says, nodding towards all the tables. Billie grabs my hand and leads me towards a table close to the windows.

As we sit down, Billie grins while looking at me.

''You should have seen the look on your face when they told you to get on that bike,'' she says with a laugh.

''Shut up! That shit is scary as hell,'' I say, defending myself as she runs a hand through her hair. After that, she grabs her phone from the table, looking at it while I try to get used to the enviroment. I feel so out of place here, it's not even funny. I'm sure that if we weren't here with Charles and Christina, we would get kicked out or something. My gaze moves to the couple that's waiting for the food by the desk. I wonder if Charles was like this all the time or if he changed when he came to Chicago. My mom always used to talk about how she didn't like the leather jackets and motorbikes by the grocery store, maybe that's because it reminded her of Charles?

''What are you thinking about?'' Billie suddenly asks, not moving her eyes from the screen of her phone.

''Oh, nothing,'' I immediately say, not wanting to start a serious conversation right now.

''Uhm, yes? You were staring at them as if you wanted to kill them,'' she says, finally letting her eyes off the screen to nod against my uncle and his wife.

''I was just thinking. Don't worry about it,'' I say, unlocking my phone to show her that I'd rather not talk about it right now.

''Okay, whatever you say,'' she shrugs as Charles and Christina returns to our table.

''You're gonna love this!'' Christina says as she puts two plates on front of me and Billie and I immediately cringe when I see that there are two hamburgers on them. I look at Billie who has panic written all over her face. Fuck, I should've told them that Billie is vegan, how could I be so stupid? They both smile before walking over to the fridge with soda cans inside and Billie leans over the table.

''Why didn't you say anything?'' I ask her quickly.

''Why didn't YOU say something?'' She snaps back as I bite my lip, looking at the couple that's choosing between the soda cans.

''Okay, I'll fix it,'' I say. ''Keep an eye on them.''

Billie furrows her eyebrows as I grab her hamburger, pushing it into my mouth as I try to chew it without throwing up.

''Oh my god, Ember!'' Billie exclaims, not believing what she sees.

''Shut the fuck up,'' I manage to say, my mouth filled with the gross food. I cover my hand with my mouth, getting ready to throw it all up but I manage to swallow more and more of it. After a while, I see that Charles and Christina are on their way back, so I manage to swallow everything right before they arrive, pretending like I didn't eat a whole ass hamburger in a minute.

''You're so stupid, I swear to god. I won't have anything to eat tonight,'' she whispers.

''You can always eat me,'' I whisper back, holding in a laugh as she slaps my arm. ''I'll get you something tonight. And don't be mad, because I saved you.''

She looks confused before Charles starts to talk.

''Wow, you already ate the burger?'' He says with his eyebrows raised and she opens her mouth to answer but I cut her off.

''Yeah, she always eats quick as hell,'' I say with a laugh and Billie now understands why I did like a did, looking away while smirking. That bitch should be happy that I ate a fucking hamburger and pretended that she was the one eating it so she doesn't have to eat meat. Yeah, she could have told them that she's vegan, but it would be so much trouble and she wouldn't have the balls to do it.

As I throw a glance on the hamburger on my plate, I feel sick to my stomach. Am I going to eat one more after this? Billie almost burst out in laughter as she sees the look on my face. I sigh before raising the burger to my mouth, trying not to throw up.

After managing to eat the whole hamburg without vomiting all over the restaurant, we stand up to leave the small local. Charles and Christina are walking in front of us, so I wrap my arm around Billie's shoulder, barely managing to walk as she giggles before holding me up.

''I'm going to throw up,'' I say, feeling that the food is on it's way up to my throat as I start to panic. Before Billie gets to answer, I head towards the white door with a ''Bathroom'' sign on it, opening the door before kneeling down in front of the porcelain toilet. As I vomit all over the toilet, feeling like shit, I hear footsteps getting closer before a hand softly holds my hair up.

''You did not have to eat two fat hamburgers,'' she says with a quiet giggle, probably trying to hold back a laugh.

''I didn't want you to eat it,'' I crack out when I'm finished.

''We can talk about it later, let's get you cleaned up.''
