When Novalee wakes up the next morning, there is a set of cold arms holding her. Without turning around, Novalee knows that it's Jasper. His happiness is radiant, which is a good feeling as Nova rests against him.

Novalee turns amd she kisses Jasper, again. He tenses at the smell of her fast pumping blood but he kisses her back, an arm wrapping around her as the kiss deepens. Novalee's blood is making Jasper internally drunk, it is so much and so intoxicating.

Jasper kisses down Novalee's neck, her blood pumping faster and faster but Jasper doesn't let it phase him. The only reason Alice and Emmett are sticking around for this, is for a just in case, just in case jasper slips.

Jasper pauses with his nose right against one of Novalee's veins, she is breathing heavily. Nova hadn't expected such an intense kiss from Jasper. She honestly expected him to be acting distant today. Jasper moves back up and pecks her lips.

"I did better," Jasper slurs. "Although I believe i might be intoxicated off of the intense smell of your blood."

Novalee laughs at this. "Of course you are."

Jasper just looks at her. "Let's go to the piano. I want to head you play."

The couple go down to the foyer where Novalee sits at the piano bench. Alice and Emmett join them right as Novalee begins to play A thousand Years, the version from the Piano guys. When she finishes that, she does the piano version of All I need by Within Temptations, while singing. Cheryl is calm, and so is June in Rosalie.

Jasper smiles as she sings in sync with her playing, the sounding twice as beautiful coming from Novalee's string voice. Her singing voice has her Greek accent way worse hsn her talking. Her head bobs as she sings, anfnas she plays. Carlisle and Esme enter when they hear the lovely sound, and they find Nova at the piano. Esme snuggles into Carlisle's side as Novalee works on the ending of the song.

Emma walks in right as the song ends, and she smiles. She knows her mom's happy again, so Emma's happy. Emma sits beside her mother and they smile at each other as Nova shows her the song's ending, they play it together. Both hands on the keys.

"Edward would be in love," Esme says with a chuckle.

"Oh, yeah," Jasper replies. "Two people playing at once? He already likes Novalee. This would make it better. The two may as well be twins."

"That was amazing!" Emma exclaims as the song is finished. "Mom, can you make something to eat?"

Novalee nods and they go up to the kitchen, the coven all scatter. Alice and Emmett go on their hunt. They're together now. nova cooks enough for Emma, herself and Rosalie.

Jasper smashes his lips against Novalee's again when she's in her room, and he traps her against the door. But nova feels a very sharp pain before she blacks out.

Embry runs into the Cullen's after getting the call, and runs up to the doctor office room where Carlisle has an unconscious Novalee laying with her shirt off. Jasper is standing beside her with darkened eyes, blood. Embry walks closer and sees blood between Novalee's eyes.

Carlisle grabs the gel quickly as Rosalie rushes in and he rubs the wand over her abdomen and presses to listen to a heartbeat which he has not heard yet. He turns the monitor up and moves the wand around and then he looks, and frowns.

"Embry, I am so sorry," Carlisle says as he sees Novalee begin to wake up. "But she's lot the baby."

"What?!" Novalee gasps, the news has woke her up. "I lost the baby?"

Carlisle nods, closing his eyes. "I am so sorry, Novalee."

"Embry..."

Embry sits on the side of the doctoring table amd he engulfs Novalee in a hug as she weeps into his shirt. Jasper walks out of the room, the feeling of sadness is overwhelming and he goes downstairs.

"What happened?" Rosalie asks urgently from Jared, Sam sent him with Embry. "Is she okay? What about Cheryl?"

Jared notices the grim and sad look. "Jasper, don't tell me it's what I think it is."

Jasper looks down and he says, "Nova lost the baby."

"Damn it!" Jared growls. "I'll be right back."

Jared goes into Sam's, on the verge of tears.

"Jared, what happened to Nova?" Emily asks, she just found out she's pregnant - four weeks.

"She miscarried," Jared replies. "I came to report that. Embry's with her."

Billy Black closes his eyes, he hates to hear that. Sam is quiet as he holds a crying Emily. Paul is up quick.

"Sam..."

"No," Sam says. "Embry's there."

Novalee is laying in her bed, without her baby. Carlisle is going to bury her at the house Nova and Embry loved in when they got married. Embry went with him, Paul's meeting them there because it's a neutral ground.

Emmett walks in and he lays behind her, wrapping his human sister in a hug. Emmett snuggles her as she shares into an oblivion. She's in shock, Carlisle told the coven. She didn't get to hold Cheryl, she carried her for six months and there were no signs of the miscarriage until the sharp pain hit.

Alice peaks in at the two and frowns at the stained face of Novalee, her mascara had ran where she was crying. She walks over and hugs her, too. This is when Novalee cries, again. She feels guilty, guilty for coming back into the supernatural world while she was pregnant.

It's been a few hours, and now Novalee just feels empty now. She is sitting on the first floor locking room, holding her flat stomach as mascara runs down her cheeks again. Her face is stained black from the mascara as she avoids Rosalie. Rosalie's pregnant, and glowing. When Esme tells her why Nova has been avoiding her, and she went to La Push to Jared's.

Jasper joins her and she just lays in his arms, not crying anymore. She's numb.

Embry punches a tree in Sam's backyard before he slides down it, hiding his face in his hands as Sam amd Paul jog out to console him. Paul actually hugs Embry pretty tightly when the shifter starts sobbing.

Sam looks around, and he sees the pack watching sadly. Emily goes to make muffins, a good comfort food. Rosalie snuggles in Jared's side as Jenna watches sadly. She didn't expect Nova to lose her baby. She just hopes she will be okay.

But Sam... Sam knows that those two will never be the same again. Sam kneels down and he places a soothing hand on Embry's back as he cries on Paul. Botha pack mates are trying to calm him down before he phases and loses control, and goes abuse Novalee.
