《Wattpad Block Party - Summer Edition IV》The3Dreamers Presents: Chat with the Characters of The Dream Weaver

This time of year, I'm often writing chapters in the mountain after camping and hiking in the Rocky Mountains somewhere near Banff. I guess people spend their summers very differently depending on what side of the world they're on. Last summer, I almost ran into a Grizzly bear on my bike while ripping down a backcountry bike trail. Scary and definitely not advisable.

And apparently, I didn't party hard enough the first two times, so I'm back for the treats and drinks. Thanks again for the invitation, Kelly! So, pull up a lawn chair, grab your favorite beverage and get the inside scoop with a few of the characters from THE DREAM WEAVER series!

For this block party, I thought I'd take a moment and take fans to an exclusive behind the scenes chat with a few characters from The Dream Weaver Series. If you're already an avid supporter of one of the guys (Kellan or Jaxon) in this series love triangle, I'm sure you're going crazy if you're reading the third book.

Let's hear what a few of fans' favorite characters had to say when I met up with them in the Block Party lounge.

I stared at the tray of cookie crumbs left on the Block Party lounge counter—not a cookie in sight. ShaunAllan strikes again. At the last party, warned me that he'd eat them all if I didn't fill my pockets when I arrived. Even the Cookie Monster wouldn't stand a chance against him. Maybe that was why Shaun wrote horror. If he terrified people to the point they were too scared to come out of their rooms, all the more treats for him. Geez, that's actually a good tactic. I chuckled and plucked a crumb from the tray and popped it in my mouth.

"What do you mean you can't tell me where you went?" Sage tossed the lounge door wide open, and her strawberry-blonde ponytail swung behind her while she walked.

I lifted my nuclear-orange Wattpad mug off the counter and strolled over to the weathered recliner, trying not to spill piping hot coffee on myself.

"I told you..." Robin stepped into view, filling most of the doorframe with his height, caught the door on its backswing. "I promised Jaxon I wouldn't tell anyone. Ask her." He let loose a million-dollar smile, then pointed at me. "Amber can tell you."

I coughed, having just taken a sip from my mug. "Me? Oh no, leave me out of whatever this is."

Sage placed her hands on her hips. "Sure, put us in these awkward situations and then throw your hands in the air claiming the author code of silence."

"Why would I splash spoilers about my books everywhere?" I set my coffee down and pulled a pen from the coils of my notebook. "That's the whole point of reading—to find out what happens next."

"I tell you what I want to know, where did you send Robin off to and why are you both so secretive about it."

Robin held up the empty tray. "Yeah that, and who stole all the cookies?"

Sage let out a laugh, and wandered over to him and patted his stomach. "Is that all you think about—food?"

He wrapped an arm around her. "I'm a guy. I think about two things, food and—"

I shook my head behind Sage's back, trying to warn him not to finish that sentence.

"Girls?" Sage scoffed and slapped his logo-clad muscular chest. "You were going to say, girls, weren't you?"

"That's what this is all about. You're worried I'm off playing the field with some other girl?" He folded his other arm around her slender frame.

"You say that like you don't have the reputation of dating half the female population at school." She squirmed trying to break free of his hold.

"What can I say? I was searching for you." He tilted his head, and his chestnut hair covered his eyes. "And now that I've found you"—he tightened his grip—"I'm never letting you go."

"Really?" She stilled, lifting her cornflower-blue gaze to his. "It's just me?"

"Only you." Robin lowered his head and brushed his nose against hers.

A warm smile spread over her lips, and she tossed her arms around his neck. Before Robin could even blink, she lifted up on tip-toe and crushed her mouth to his.

"Whew..." I fanned my notebook, wafting cool air over me. "All I need is popcorn and a drink. Oh, wait..." I took a sip of my coffee. "Much better. Still, I'd rather a ginger-ale if you're going to continue."

Sage broke free from their kiss. "Ha, ha, very funny." She interlaced her fingers with Robin's. "Come on, let's find somewhere less crowded." She led him toward the back door. "But don't think, I won't find out what errand you sent him on."

Just before they reached the exit, Rygar thrust the door open and glared at Robin holding Sage's hand. He held the door for Sage, letting her pass but dropped it after she walked through, smacking the back of Robin's heel.

"Nice to see you too, Rygar," Robin hollered from behind the closed door.

Rygar let out a sigh, shook his head and stocked over the couch, and collapsed in the cushions. The springs squeaked under his weight. "What does she see him?"

"I don't know. Did you ever think to ask Sage?" I set my book in my lap. Getting any writing done was looking less likely by the second.

He ran a hand through his hair, messing it up. "She barely knows I exist. How Kellan and Jaxon haven't killed each other over Wren, I have no idea."

Wren materialized next to the couch. "Don't tell me you're talking about Kellan and Jax."

"Geez!" Rygar jumped at the sight of her. "You have to stop doing that or someone will die—of a heart attack."

"Relax." Wren shoved his shoulder, and her blonde curls bounced over her back, showing off the telltale Weaver black streak in her hair. "Move over, will ya?" She plopped down next to him.

"Just because you can disappear whenever you like, doesn't mean you should, Birdie."

I cracked open my book and clicked the pen, trying to ignore the two of them.

"You trying to clip my wings?" She shoved him with her shoulder. "Hey, what are you brooding over. Don't tell me, Sage?"

"What do you think?"

I peeked up from my blank page.

She cringed, still facing him. "Sorry. You know who can help you." Wren rested back into the cushions and dropped her baby-blue sneakers onto the coffee table. "In fact, maybe she can help us both."

I let out a long sigh and pinched the bridge of my nose, feeling a headache come on. "Honestly, what's an author got to do to get some writing time?"

"Oh, don't let us stop you, we'll even help you with the storyline." She pulled her knees up and folded her arms around them. "Are you against happy endings?"

"No, I think torturing us is her favorite pastime," Rygar muttered.

"Well, if you must know..." I tapped my pen to the page.

"Wait, don't answer that." Wren pulled Rygar into a sideways hug, making her bracelets jingle. "Just think about how happy you'd make us."

"How about you think about it. This is your story. I'm merely the recorder of its history. If you don't like where it's headed..."

She straightened up, glanced at Rygar and then back to me with wide eyes. "Are you saying I control my destiny?"

"We all have that power." I gestured to the empty glass tray. "If you want more than what life hands you, then it's up to you find a way."

I smiled, pulled a cookie from my pocket and took a bite.
