Hello everyone! I'm so glad to be apart of the Block Party again, is one of the best authors and host ever, thank you so much!

Another different post this year. As writers we tend to stress over word count and drafts during the days, I know I do. Me and my characters have arguments with each other of how the plot should go. It keeps me up at night.

Plus sitting down writing out our best chapters can put a strain on our muscles and hands.

On social media I love it when authors share what they do to during downtime to destress from writer's block and I want to share mine.

My writing journey hasn't been easy but it was worth it along the way, learning more breaching techniques and getting my flexibility back.

Yoga -

I've been practicing yoga on and off for almost eight years. I am a flexible person, been that way since I was a kid. When I sprained my knee it was halted, I couldn't move my leg and became lazy. Doctor and chiropractic appointments it's getting better day by day. Both have said yoga is good for me. I have also noticed that it helps get the juices flowing when it comes to writing.

I have four go to simple poses that I do to stretch those tight muscles: Child Pose, Tree Pose, Bridge pose and Upward Salute.

Mediation -

Inhale, exhale. Deep breaths clears the head and calms the heart. Day or night or even washing dishes meditating can be done. Most days I feel anxious and nervous, I literally need to shake them away, find a comfortable spot or position to breathe.

The 4-4-4 count helps: inhale on the count of four, hold it in on the count of four and exhale on the count of four at a slow pace. There's awesome app for meditation for IPhone and Android, like Headspace and Calm.com.
