♡Anime: Jujutsu Kaisen♡
"I don't think I'll be able to get over how peaceful it is up here," you say to yourself as you sit outside of the Shinto shrine made for Ryomen Sukuna. Sukuna was a sorcerer who apparently lived a thousand-plus years ago and was killed before being turned into a mighty cursed spirit dubbed 'the king of curses'.
Why your friend Nobara's family would worship such a being is beyond you, but nonetheless, you agreed to babysit their shrine while they went on vacation. Despite the dark nature of their idol, the landscape surrounding the shrine is gorgeous. The shrine is backed by a vast mountain background with a lush valley below the family house.
All-around red flowers called camellia, also known as Tsubaki, grow wildly. According to one of your distant memories from history class, Tsubaki was popular among warriors and samurai because they symbolized a noble death. You can't help but wonder if it's a coincidence considering it doesn't sound like someone like Sukuna would be a noble anything.
You feel your phone vibrate in your back pocket and pull it out to find a notification from Nobara. You open the text and find a photo of her clinging to the muscular arms of a tanned and tatted Hawaiian guy. Along with the picture is a message that makes you smile and shake your head.

~My second fling of the trip🤪
Nobara has never had any problems getting any guy she wants wrapped around her finger with ease. You on the other hand have been single for so long that you've forgotten what it feels like to even be hugged by the opposite sex.
To refrain from sounding too salty you don't respond to the message and instead continue to admire the scenery of your friends' backyard to cool off a bit. Once you've gotten your fill of nature you start to slowly make your way to the main house.
However, you find yourself stopping and turning around to light incense before clasping your hands together in prayer formation.
"Oh mighty cursed spirit Sukuna, if you really do have any power can you use it to send me a really hot boyfriend? A bitch is kinda lonely," You ask jokingly before opening your eyes slowly and doing a twirl around only to find that no hot stranger had magically appeared before your eyes. You let out a chuckle at your childish action but brush it off since you already anticipated this outcome.
As you walk down to the house you contemplate what you'll make yourself for dinner but notice an odd figure laying a few steps away from the front door. The closer you get the more you make out the silhouette of a young man dressed in odd royal blue robes.
You've had a couple of odd people stop by the shrine to pray or take pictures, but they all headed straight to the shrine and ignored the house. Not to mention he's clinging to what appears to be a katana and not a fake one either. It seems to you like this guy got drunk or high while in cosplay and passed out on his way to the shrine.
"Uh...hey! You alright?!" You speak hesitantly to the guy who doesn't immediately respond to your words. Despite the potential danger of the situation, you can't help but be concerned for this odd stranger and quicken your pace to check on them. You're finally hovering over the stranger and go to call the police but pause as you observe their features.

The man appears to be around your age or a little older, his skin is pale and flawless, and his long silky black locks are tied back into a ponytail. He doesn't appear feverish or reek of alcohol or marijuana, if anything he seems to be sleeping gracefully on Nobara's front step. Perhaps this is an old fling of hers?
You kneel down next to the guy and gently shove his shoulders, though you swiftly regret your course of action as a katana is suddenly grazing your neck threatening to draw blood. The man's eyes are now open, and in his sapphire irises, you find an overwhelming amount of ferocity that somewhat conflicts with his delicate appearance.
"Who are you? Where am I?" the man asks as you try to process multiple things at once before settling on what might hopefully be the shortest and easiest question to have answered.
"Um, you're at the Kugisaki residence where the Shinto shrine of Sukuna is..."
"Shrine?! Why would Ryomen have a shrine? I killed that bloodthirsty killer years ago, wait...what's a woman like you doing here anyhow?" the guy asks still spiralling as he suddenly drops his Katana and reaches for his head while groaning.
"Hey easy, let me get you some water and Advil, just wait here ok!" you say as the guy suddenly grabs your hand, though not as aggressively as you were anticipating. His face is now flush and it's clear that he's not doing so hot. The aggression in him has seemingly melted away and instead, you see gentle eyes welling up with tears.
"I'm supposed to be dead...I died in battle. So why am I here?" the guy asks before abruptly collapsing.

You finish cooking the stir-fried rice you settled on making for dinner and look out of the corner of your eye to see the strange guy still sleeping on the couch. It's been about an hour since he passed out and you've been rotating between changing out the cold cloth on his head and cooking.
"That smells delicious," you hear a voice say as you turn back around to find the guy towering over you while staring down at your pan of food. You let out an incoherent babble and scurry into the corner of the kitchen before grasping yourself as the guy smiles apologetically and slides his feet together before bowing his head to you though not too far down.
"I apologize for scaring you earlier and causing you an unexpected inconvenience. Though, I'm grateful for your concern for my health and tending to me," the guy says politely as you nod after calming down enough. Now that he's awake again and doesn't seem to be in hysterics, he seems like a decent guy.
Though he's taking this role-playing thing oddly seriously.
"Oh well it's no biggie, apology accepted. How are you feeling by the way?" You ask while making your way back over to your pan and preparing the guy a bowl of food as he stands back upright and chuckles awkwardly.
"I fear that if I told you the truth you wouldn't believe me," the guy says as you hum in response before placing down the bowl on the dining table and motioning him over to join you.
"Try me," you say as the guy hesitantly makes his way over to the table while looking at it and the other décor of the house strangely. You notice him reach for his waist before an expression of panic seems to overtake him.

"Oh, are you looking for your Katana? I actually left it in the dojo, for now, I hope you understand why it'd make a girl uneasy having a strange guy around while armed with a weapon. You can have it back when you head out though," you say with an awkward smile as the guy pauses to look at your expression before nodding and relaxing a bit.
"Ah I see, thank you for taking care of it as well then. Your generosity is overwhelming, can I ask your name?" the guy asks, his tone and way of speaking seeming to flow like poetry. His entire demeanour is unlike any guy you've met before and you can't exactly pinpoint why that is.
"Just call me Y/N, and you are?" you quickly push the question back onto the guy who once again bows slightly to you. His long black hair falls forward as well and you're surprised to not find any sign of lace. Either he's impeccable at cosmetics or that's truly all his hair which is majorly attractive to you.
You try your best to focus on finding answers for this strange predicament as opposed to simping over the hot guy who passed out on your friend's porch. You decide to distract yourself with food and scoop up a spoonful as the guy seemingly tries to find out how to answer your question.
"My name is Fushiguro Megumi, I'm a samurai," the guy, Fushiguro, says as you stop the spoon from entering your mouth to slowly guide it down to the plate while trying to maintain some politeness.
"Oh...is that so? Are you in town for some kind of anime convention or something that I hadn't heard about?" You ask once again fighting your impulse to squeal, after all, if you actually did get to wish a boyfriend into existence you'd want him to be a weeb and just as attractive as an actual anime character.
Two qualities that Fushiguro seems to have going for him already.
"Anime convention? I'm afraid I don't know what that is," Fushiguro responds with furrowed brows and a genuine look of confusion on his pretty face.
"Can I ask what year it is?" Fushiguro asks as it's now your turn to frown.
"2022 of course, why?" You ask as Fushiguro's face seems to pale more before he sighs softly and closes his eyes. He remains silent for a few seconds before nodding to himself.
"Ah, so my suspicion was correct. I'm in the wrong time period," Fushiguro mutters to himself as you chuckle lightly.
"Alright, are you a drama major or something because your acting is spectacular," you jest as Fushiguro shakes his head and looks at you with honest eyes. You want to continue to play off the impossible predicament you've found yourself in, but Fushiguro doesn't waver in the slightest.
"Samurai never lie, I assure you I'm just as confused as you are as to why I've been sent here. The last thing I remember is fighting in the war, I beheaded Sukuna but quickly after one of his underlings managed to catch me off guard and stabbed me. Everything went black after that," Fushiguro relays to you as your mind thinks up something impossible.
Is it possible that your joke of a prayer earlier actually prompted Sukuna to send Fushiguro to you? That should be impossible though, but alas, Fushiguro is sitting across from you and has given you ample reason to believe that he truly is who he claims.
"I...I think I know why you're here," you stutter out as Fushiguro looks at you curiously.
"Really? How so?"
"I uh...just before I came across you on the doorstep I kinda made a prayer to Sukuna," you admit, hoping that you won't have to expose all the details of the prayer. Though the inquiry in Fushiguro's sapphire irises tells you otherwise.
"What kind of prayer would send a fallen Samurai to a different time period?" Fushiguro asks as you suddenly jerk out of your chair, the scrapping sound makes Fushiguro wince as you swiftly change the subject.
"Better question! Why would Sukuna send you here if you're the one who killed him? Wouldn't he want you to stay dead?" You ask in a raised voice to try and hide the embarrassment you feel for foolishly wishing to be sent a boyfriend who somehow actually showed up.
"It's a bit complicated, while Sukuna was an evil jujutsu sorcerer as I'm sure the tales say, we were actually friends at one point," Fushiguro explains as you frown confused. What kind of friends goes to war with each other? Sure Nobara aggravates you sometimes but you'd never actually hurt her. You'll never understand male friendships.
"It's strange...when I killed him he seemed happy about it or at least happy that it was me. I remember his last words being that he hopes I'll live a fulfilling life," Fushiguro adds, you note the sadness that overtakes him as he utters those words.
"Perhaps Sukuna sent me here to give me a shot at that fulfilling life, what an idiot," Fushiguro hypothesizes as you can easily put together how that line of logic might line up with your initial wish. The only question is did Sukuna really see a future between the two of you or had he just been trying to kill two birds with one stone?
"If that's really what happened then maybe we should head back to the statue and see if Sukuna will react to your presence and reverse what he's done," you try to offer despite not being aware if that'd work. You can't imagine going through what Fushiguro went through and travelling to a time when everything and everyone you know is gone.
"Even if he did I'd be condemning myself to death, that is the fate I evaded from all those centuries ago. Though who knows if my stay here is temporary or permanent," Fushiguro says as you nod and look at the time, 1:00 pm. If Fushiguro's stay is just temporary, you want to make the best out of it for his sake.
"In that case, we should have as much fun as possible together right?," you say as Fushiguro smiles and nods before bowing his head to you.
"Thank you for tolerating me a while longer, I'll try to make our potentially short time together as enjoyable as possible," Fushiguro says as your cheeks burn from smiling so widely at his declaration.
Some Hours Later
You feel your body jolt out of sleep and slowly sit upwards and hold your head while looking around you. The living room around you is full of games that you recall playing with Fushiguro before falling asleep.
It's admittingly been a bit exhausting having to explain or describe almost everything that Fushiguro encounters, but he also has the most adorable expression full of curiosity and awe about inventions you've always taken for granted.
Speaking of Fushiguro, you continue to glance around the rest of the living room and dining room areas but don't see any sign of him. You feel a bit of panic rise in your stomach as you quickly hop off the couch to search for him. The time on your phone is 10:45 pm so the day hasn't finished just yet, but is it possible that it was all a dream to begin with?
After scanning the inside of the house and coming up empty, you rush outside past the dojo that Nobara's younger brother rarely uses but pause as you hear the sound of someone grunting followed by the sounds of something being slashed. You turn the corner where the source of the sound appears to be.
Cold sweat drips down your eyebrow but you wipe it away while poking your phone around the corner. You glance at your screen and let out a breath of relief as you see Fushiguro. His long jet-black hair is pulled into a high ponytail as per usual, though two smaller strands frame his face on either side. He wields his katana with a strong right hand and slashes it at one of the wooden testing dummies.
However, unlike your pitiful playful swings with your wooden sword, Fushiguro is sweating profusely. He very clearly is swinging the blade with captivating power and grace, you already had your phone recording the entire thing but you feel your body step out from the safety of the wall and approach him. Probably a stupid idea considering the very real weapon in his hand.
"Who's there?" You hear Fushiguro's voice shout suddenly as he turns around and points the katana in your direction. For a second the two of you lock eyes, the ferocity you see in his bright sapphire eyes renders you speechless.
You hear yourself let out a sharp gasp as Fushiguro quickly realizes who you are and swiftly removes the blade from you. Fushiguro flashes you a bright smile as he sheaths the katana and steps closer to you.
"Sorry Y/N, I didn't mean to startle you, even if Samurai aren't needed in this day I still want to remain sharp," Fushiguro says while panting lightly, the motion of his chest moving up and down while breathing heavier than usual makes your mind wander.
"It's alright, I should've expected that it was you who was in here, I was a bit scared you vanished on me," you say as Fushiguro frowns at your words, his eyes watching your expression carefully as you glance down at your phone and stop the recording.
"Hmm? What's that?" Fushiguro asks as he steps next to you in order to get a better angle at the video. You feel your body tense as Fushiguro leans further down to observe his form in the video, you unintentionally hold in a breath at the proximity.
"This is technology huh? Incredible," Fushiguro murmurs in an awe-filled voice as you smirk and shake your head.
"I guess, but what's really incredible is your skill. Every little movement you make with the katana seems to have a purpose, it's beautiful to watch," you say mindlessly as Fushiguro turns to face you, your lips only a short distance away from colliding due to his sudden head jerk.
"You really think so?" Fushiguro asks with a blindingly beautiful smile that makes you weak in the knees. Being around him the past hours has been both a joy and excruciatingly painful. His presence in and of itself is insane to fathom, but equally torturous considering how oblivious he seems to be of his charm.
"N-not that I've been staring while you've been training or whatever. I just mean that maybe since you're a genuine samurai you can get a job teaching others or something," you blurt as you take a couple of steps away from Fushiguro and chuckle awkwardly.
"Why don't you let me teach you first then?" Fushiguro says with a slight smile, his eyes seeming to search out yours.
"M-me? C'mon, I'm already pitiful with a wooden sword, I'd be even worse with a real katana," you say dismissively as Fushiguro's lips curve into a mischievous smile that you've never seen grace his face once all day.
"Well, we won't know until you try right?" Fushiguro says as he grabs your hand gently and guides you toward the dojo. You allow Fushiguro to guide you and watch as he gently places down his katana before reaching for two wooden swords and handing you one.
"We'll just do a little light sparing, nothing too dangerous," Fushiguro says as you pout.
"What if I accidentally hurt you?" you ask as Fushiguro's smile widens and his eyes seem to sparkle with amusement at your timidness.
"I don't mind obtaining a scratch or two from you Y/N," Fushiguro says playfully as you blush a bit confused. You couldn't help but feel that his words were a bit on the flirty side, but it could just be your mind hearing what it wants to hear.
"Alright, as long as you're sure," you say as you take several small cautious steps toward Fushiguro before finally gaining enough courage to swing the sword at him. As expected he blocks your sword easily but doesn't retaliate, just allows you to swing and be blocked.
"You have more power in your swing than you think, not bad at all and this is coming from a samurai," Fushiguro says as his words give you the added motivation to genuinely try to land a decent blow on him.
You pick up your speed and swing the sword harder and faster, you can barely see Fushiguro's face in between the blurs of the wood clashing loudly together, though you hear him chuckle pleasantly at your growing ferocity.
"That's it, just like that. Loosen up a bit more," Fushiguro coaches as you do as instructed. However, you let out a gasp as Fushiguro starts to attack lightly. You can tell he's greatly holding back, but you find yourself stepping backwards with each intimidating swing.
You feel your back press against one of the poles before letting out a yelp as your wooden sword is abruptly whacked out of your grasp. Fushiguro suddenly rests his arm on the wood above you while leaning his face close to yours.
The two of you don't utter a word, just the sound of heavy breathing and the loud thumping of your heart wanting to leap out of your chest. You hear Fushiguro drop the wooden sword which snaps you out of your trance.
"It seems that you win, not that that wasn't to be expected," you say with an awkward chuckle as Fushiguro nods and tilts his head while still looking nowhere but deeply into your eyes.
