"TANV....EER.. aahh...Allah..."
She was aghast of the nightmare that just ended making her wake up all on a sudden. Wiping her tears in hurry, she found herself shivering and sweating although the night is freezing.
"Allah...."
Her heartbeat rose up as she tried to remember what she has just witnessed in the nightmare, but it already escaped away from her mind. That felt so horrific that she found herself getting breathless in sleep.
"Aii... Tanveer.." She closed her eyes breathing deeply, grasping the duvet in her sheet, finally feeling little restful.
She looked around in search of Shahveer beside her, but her left side is empty. this made her more nervous as she found the washroom door slightly open, so he isn't there either.
She turned to her right and found Nahiaan deadly asleep while her newborn angel's eyes are open, roaming around, as if he's bored of this silence.
A lone tear escaped her eye as she gulped down rubbing her chest against her racing heartbeat.
Checking the time, she got down from from the bed and picked up her shawl wrapping it around her arms.
She walked out of the room making her way to Shahveer's study room, expecting him to be there, that he is.
As soon as she pressed the door open, her eyes travelled to the corner of the room, in the floor.
Her ears rang hearing him wailing in silence. She entered and closed the door making sure to not disturb him.
Slowly taking steps towards him, she sat down on her knees beside, watching him blankly as he just now noticed her.
He heavily breathed out and wiped his tears, turning his face away to not let her see him like this.
Her chest hitched with sobs as she made her hand up to his head, lovingly ruffling his hair.
"Ve..veer.."
She mumbled under her breathe when he shifted closer to her and took her hands in his lap.
His head bowed down to lean over her chest as she held his arms and patted his back to calm him down.
"I wasn't sleepy..."
He said in a broken harsh voice to which she nodded and kissed his head.
"Zia........."
He mumbled in the exact way Tanveer used to take her name that she always felt sensual and emotional.
"Hmm?"
"Nothing."
"Nothing?"
He shook his head looking up with a smile, widening his moist eyes as a teardrop escaped down in her hand.
"I madly searched for you while you were always near me."
He chuckled removing her hair stands from his eyes that sat on his face due to the racing wind.
"Do you mind trying to sleep now?"
She wiped his face with her shawl and raised her eyebrows at him to which he immediately shook his head and again rested his head in her chest.
"I'm not sleepy."
"Come on, get up."
"No, you go."
"What will you do here?"
"Will find for peace."
He moved and sat back in the prayer mat.
She looked at him with pity as her hand reached to his chin, rubbing her fingers in his beard as he turned his face and kissed the palm of her hand.
"Please come to sleep."
"You go, I'll come after Fazr."
"Please..."
"I can't sleep Zia...let me be here."
She nodded at his stubbornness. As she leaned over, with a kiss in his forehead, she wiped his tears and stood up to leave.
She begin stepping away but as she reached near the door, he turned his face to her and closed his eyes letting tears drop down them.

"He left.....me...he left...for ever and always...."
She turned around hearing his harsh whisper. Seeing him murmuring something under his breathe, she made her way back to him as she sat down beside and held his face in her hands.
"You've...just..just..lived few months..with him...but I had my eternity with him... how'll I continue living now...?"
He bit his lip breathing heavily, as if he's struggling to inhale due to this unbearable suffocation which is just increasing and increasing.
Seeing him so hurt made her feel the same ache spreading in her heart.
Despite of herself being helpless and in pain, she wanted to console him keeping no pain alive in his heart.
"The thought of not again...ever see him..hear him.....eh...it..hurts so much... how'll I cover the loss?"
He spoke in between his hiccups which made it more difficult for him to breathe.
"Veer...don't cry...please don't cry..."
Sobbing, she brushed her nose with his as her fingers ruffled his hair.
He began shivering as all the moments that he has once lived with Tanveer flashed in his mind. He sees him smiling in his thought, if only he could turn it into reality.
Unable to get over the flow of ache spreading in him, he pulled her in his lap and settled his head in her neck, holding her the tightest to him.
"Calm down....you'll..."
"What will we name the baby?"
He questioned out of nowhere at which she tried to look down at him but couldn't, kissing his head, she begin caressing his back as he felt drops of calmness growing in him.
"What would you like?"
"Nashwan?"
He sounded better now, though tears continued raining.
"Nashwan."
She chuckled having his voice getting back to usual.
"He has given you his son Shahveer. You'll cover the loss through having his son always with you as yours."
He nodded his head and moved his head back from her chest as she felt her neck wet and sweaty.
He held her wrist and brought her hand to his chest, letting her touch it's left side, his heart, that she found beating so hastily.
She looked up at him with tearful eyes as her heart too begin competing with his one's pace.
"It's so burdened that I......"
She didn't let him complete as she moved her hand from there and held him closer by his nape.
"Allah won't burden it more than it can bear. Allah cares for it more than you do and know."
She said unbuttoning his sweaty shirt. Leaning towards, she ran her hand down his chest and attached her lips to the place where his heart beats.
••••
I believed that only the heart does what it wants, against the law of the brain. But here my eyes are also doing what they prefer. Though gawking at her is indeed so restful.
Now I understand that why Bhai used to call himself a shameless gawker. I'm being the same now.
Maybe it's hereditary, or her beauty is the reason?
The moments I blink my eyes losing her sight makes me feel eternity passing away that I don't want to let.
It feels so good, maybe the reason isn't her beauty, but something internal, still shown in her face, yet undefined.
She's making me crazy for her once again!
And the reality that she too loves me is so.......Wallahi!
Thanzia raised her eyebrows at him but yet he didn't realize that she has caught him off guard so he should stop gawking at her so shamelessly.

She waved her hand at him to which he blinked and immediately looked away, feeling little embarassed, not that much though.
"Look alike, behave alike."
She whispered rolling her eyes at him as she remembered that Tanveer used to do the same to her.
He coughed hearing her words as he massaged his forehead in nervousness. Seeing her getting down from the bed, he stood up and made his way after her.
"Ziaa......"
She closed her eyes letting the cheerful smile fade from her lips as she heard him calling her, in the exactly same tone of Tanveer.
This makes her feel so weak, yet she loves it.
"Hmm?"
"Umm....I slept so well after years."
He regretted saying that as she turned around to look at him with raised eyebrows, chuckling at his cuteness.
"Umm hmm...for me?"
"Uhh....yeah..."
"Alhamdulillah."
She again turned away from him getting busy to take out her clothes from the closet.
"Eeh... Bhai used to sleep having you in video calls also...I got the reason now."
He stood behind her.
"You brothers......"
She slapped his head getting bumped with his chest as he chuckled and stepped back.
"Mummum baybe dowsent owen his eyezz."
Nahiaan complained as he looked down at Nashwan with a smirk.
(Baby doesn't open his eyes.)
"Awweee my prince, baby is sleeping now."
Thanzia sat up on the bed and took Nahiaan in her lap.
He looked at Shahveer who too joined them.
Staring blankly at him for few seconds which slowly turned his eyes moist, he moved his gaze to Thanzia as his lips parted. She understood that again he's about to ask about Tanveer.
"Dadda....umm..."
He whispered, disconcert.
First few months he troubled them a lot to talk to Tanveer in calls like he used to. At times Shahveer even needed to act as Tanveer in video calls for him.
But as more months passed he forgot him, though still sometimes Shahveer reminds him of Tanveer.
•••••
After few days.
"So I wanted you both to move there."
As soon as the words reached his ears, Shahveer immediately looked up at his father with fear rising in his mind.
He gulped down slightly shaking his head, wanting to deny, but he couldn't.
"Do you have any problem with that Zia?"
Her father in law asked, she immediately shook her head as a smile cheered up in her lips. If only she had noticed Shahveer's expression.
"I'm happier with that. But you....you need to come with us."
"I'll. Where to go when I have my grandsons with you? But let me be here till Shahveer's career gets settled."
He looked at Shahveer to which he immediately changed his tensed expression to a fake smiling one. He nodded his head and looked at Thanzia.
"Let us shift there this week?"
She excitedly questioned him.
He can't either deny.
If one problem ends then another arises for him.
"Hmm..."
"Abbu but please come with us. It's yet too late to wait for Veer's study to be completed. Please Abbu...."
It was too hard for him to control his nerves from stopping her to say this. He massaged his forehead as the bitter ache again attacked him.
"Ziaaa...don't be stubborn."
"Please Abbu...."
"Zia why are you forcing him? Let him stay here."
He sounded rude though his voice came out shaky and low.
"Umm..ok..."
Seeing Shahveer hurriedly walking out of the room, she immediately pulled on her Niqaab and ran after him.
"Veer what happened..."
He locked the door and walked in to sit in the bed.
He begin sweating as his eyes reddened in worry.
"Shahveer...what's wrong?"
"Could have looked at me once for my opinion also?"
He asked, calmly.
Sensing a kind of fear in his eyes, she sat down on her knees beside him and took his hands in hers.
"What happened? Didn't you want to go there?"
"Not now."
"Why? That's our home...Even Tanveer planned to move there before."
"I...I left my job."
She looked at him questioningly hearing this.
"Job....but..why? When?"
"It was too distracting to study well....I even did over time but it doesn't worth..and..I failed in the last semester too. Umm..."
She nodded her head as he begin playing with her fingers.
"Why didn't you tell me before?"
"I'm finding for one, that's why.
Let us not move there before that?"
He pleaded, so tensed that his voice came out fearful.
"Who'll study then?"
She questioned back ruffling his hair as a warm smile twitched in her mouth.
"I'll manage."
He sighed.
"Ziaa....."
"Hmm?"
"I'm...I'm sorry...I know tha....."
"You didn't save for future, nor did he."
She didn't let him speak as she scolded and slapped his head.
"Just give me some time, I'll....."
"Your goal is to be a doctor, not to do these jobs. I've...."
"Listen to m...."
"You listen to me. I've enough savings and I can provide for us. Will that do, my Doctor?"
"NO! That won't. I just need a month. Let's move there after that, please?"
"Veer..... What's the need of that? You'll only study now, that's it."
"Why don't you...."
"And we'll move there the next month. That's final. Now get up and..."
"I'm suppose to provide for you. You aren't. I don't want you..."
"Oh really? Why can't I when I can? For your pride?"
She caressed his beard as he glared hearing her.
"It's not about my pride. Please don't make me more ashamed of mysel...."
"Let's care for our future for now Veer. The present is blessed. Please don't be stubborn."
"Please understand. I'm just asking for some time. I want to solv..."
"I'm your wife. Why can't I support you on that? It's not important that you need to earn only.
And besides, you are studying now.
Obviously doing job will distract
you.
Yeah maybe I would also want you to search for one...but if I have that option to provide for us then why do you need to do that?"
He looked at her awestruck, unable to get any word to say her in return. Her ethereal smile been the reason of his acceptance, he nodded his head, yet little unsure and guilty.
"That's like my boy."
She leaned up and pecked his lips.
"How...much did you pay her to give birth to...Nahiaan?
Her eyes widened as she stared at him blank.
"What...?"
"Yeah! You heard me."
"She..told you?"
"Yeah."
Disgust and hatred displayed on her expression as she looked away not wanting to answer him.
"Tell me?"
"Why are we talking about that?"
"I want to know."
"I don't want to talk about that."
"Okay tigress, calm down."
He dragged her back to him as she was about to stand up.

Humanity Extinguished
I had the same nightmare again. The loss of my first life continues to haunt me, but now it aches like an old wound. A more grievous injury to my psyche was the losses yet to come and the inevitable hellscape I would return to again and again. Reincarnation is my curse. The lives themselves weren't all that bad. Losing people you cared about hurt and all, but even that pain was preferable to experiencing the nothingness between lives for months at a time. It was enough to drive anyone mad. Now I have to focus on breaking this horrible cycle. Thankfully I have all the time in the world. Trace is an average man driven by extraordinary circumstances in an indifferent and cruel world. His reincarnations give him a few key advantages but also take a heavy toll on him. He lives in a world where magic is uncommon and underpowered compared to the limitless physical adaptations you can acquire by getting your hands a little bloody. This story is one of hardship and terrible lows, but also monumental achievements and grand heights. The main character has flaws. While some of these flaws will fade with time, others will worsen.
