Levina's POV

When I woke, my head was throbbing so bad I leaned over the bed and threw up into the bucket that was there. Finally stopped retching I looked at my hands. They were both wrapped in bandages and sore, from scrapping on the floor and banging on the door. I was thankfully clothed but I could feel my bruised stomach and ribs. I reached up and brushed the large bump on my head, making me wince in pain. But it was also bandaged. I was surprised Lucifer hadn't healed me. Maybe he didn't want me anymore, being as defiled as I am.

The door opened and I backed away against the headboard, "Shh it's just me." Seph came into the room and I relaxed slightly. "Are you feeling okay? I heard you throw up." I slowly shook my head, tears filling my eyes but as soon as I closed my eyes the hallucinations from the dark room assaulted me and I gasped. "Levina, shh shh." I was shaking as Seph hovered over me unsure of where to touch but I didn't want her to touch me at all. "Do you want to talk about what happened?" I shook my head again. "Lucifer wants to see you." I violently shook my head. I couldn't for one, let him see me like this and two he looked too much like Seth. "Okay he'll wait until you're ready." She left me alone as the tears started again.

Lucifer's POV

As soon as Seph came into the living room I was on my feet. "How is she?"

Seph went to Hades and buried her head into his chest and took a shaky breath before looking at me. "I'm sorry Lucifer. She is not okay. I don't know what she went through but she didn't even speak. And I could just tell she was terrified of even me. I don't think Seth was the only one to hurt her this time." Fucking Seth!

"And we're sure he got away?" I asked Hades.

"I'm sorry Luce all my reports say he ran to earth." I was pacing now.

"How are her injuries?" I looked at Seph.

"I don't know she wouldn't let me touch her." Seph ran her hand down her face, "Let's give her the afternoon and then I'll go check on her. I'm sorry Lucifer but she's not ready to see you. I'd suggest Hades stay away too for now." She sighed, "At least until I can get her to talk and maybe explain some of what happened. From what I can tell when I was bandaging her up, it looks like they waxed her whole body. And Seth beat her, it looks like she fell on her hands and was beating on something. I'm most worried about her head though, Seth really smashed it hard against the pool where Hades found her."

It was my turn to sigh, I collapsed into the nearest chair. My poor mate, Shadow came up to me and put her head into my lap. She was several weeks pregnant now. "Maybe we can let Shadow in with her? Seph can you please?" She nodded and stood from Hades' lap; Shadow followed behind her. "Take care of our girl." I said to Shadow and she nodded at me.

Levina's POV

The door opened and this time I knew it was Persephone so I didn't flinch as hard. "Hi sweetie. I didn't mean to disturb you but I have someone who wants to see you." Shadow came running into the room and up onto the bed. Getting right in my face, I hugged her hard, then rubbed her swollen belly. I looked at Seph with the question and she nodded happily, "Yeah she's a few weeks pregnant." I kissed Shadow's nose in congratulations.

Seph stood at the door still and I looked up at her, "Do you mind if I change your bandages?" I nodded and she stepped in, "Or we can have Lucifer come in and heal you." I shook my head again and started to back away. "No! I'm sorry he won't. I'll change your wrappings." She said softly as she got to work cleaning my hands. They were worse than I imagined, "What happened to your hands?" Seph asked quietly and slowly as so not to spook me.

I shook my head trying to block out the dark room. But couldn't and hugged Shadow closer. "Pushed me." I muttered.

"But that's not it. Is it?" I shook my head again. "Okay sweetie. You can tell me when you're ready." I nodded as she continued to clean my hands.

I swallowed and met her eyes, "I want to go to Lethe." I whispered extremely quietly.

She paused and held my hands, "I'm sorry Levina. I can't Hades would have to." There was a knock at the door and Lucifer stepped in. I froze then scrambled backwards off the other side of the bed, reopening the wounds on my hands. "Lucifer please leave," Seph was pleading with him but he was watching me intently.

"Levina my love, please let me heal you." His voice cracked and if I didn't know any better, I'd say he'd been crying. I met his eyes and something in me made the decision to still trust him to be gentle with me. I nodded slowly and he came over slowly with his hands held up passively. He knelt on the floor in front of me, "I need to touch you precious." I shakily held out my hands palm up and he took a ragged breath when he saw how mutilated they were. Lucifer ever so gently took my hands, his warmth spread over my entire body. Healing every single cut, scrape, and bruise.

The throbbing in my head finally stopped, I could breathe without my ribs hurting. I met his purple eyes, "Thank you." I whispered.

"My pleasure my love." His gaze swept over me checking for more injuries. His brow furrowed, "You lost weight." It wasn't a question but I nodded anyway. "Are you hungry?" I shook my head, "Please precious you need to eat."

I shook my head again and looked away from his burning gaze, "Not hungry." I pulled my hands out of his when I realized he was still holding me. His touch warmed my body and I didn't want to feel that way right now. "Is he dead?" I asked quietly but my words were filled with venom.

Lucifer's face turned to rage for a second before calming, "He teleported to earth. I'm sorry precious but the second he's back in hell I will know and he will be dead."

"Good." I whispered, my voice was still sore from screaming and then unuse.

Lucifer looked pained, "Will you come home with me? You'll be safe in the house." I looked at Seph and then Shadow, I didn't really want to leave her. "I'm sorry Levina, Shadow has to stay here with Cerberus." I nodded solemnly knowing that was going to be the answer.

"Can I spend one more night with Shadow before leaving?" I asked as loud as I could.

Lucifer looked relieved, "Yes precious of course." He stood and I shrunk back covering my stomach on instinct. Lucifer's eyes flashed red with rage for a second again when he caught my reaction. But he stepped back so he wasn't looming over me. "I'll be back in the morning, okay?" He said sadly from the door and I nodded.

Seph still sat on the bed but when the door shut, she rounded the bed slowly to help me up. "You don't have to feel like you have to go with him." I nodded, "Why don't you take a warm shower? Do you want me to stay in the room while you shower?" I nodded, I was terrified both of being alone and having her nearby. "Okay sweetie go ahead. Shout if you need anything." With another nod, I slid into the bathroom and left the door open a crack.

I stripped and looked at myself in the mirror, the girl in the mirror was unrecognizable. Whatever they did to my hair, my curls were still gone, even after getting wet. My body hair wasn't even growing back yet, I was fine with this for my legs and pits but never was a fan of a hairless pussy. With a sigh I turned the water on and stepped under.

My skin was pink and raw when I stepped out of the shower from scrubbing so much. I redressed and stepped back out to the bedroom, "I will say the boiling hot water soothes my soul." I said to Seph as I dried my hair but looking up Lucifer was sitting on the bed, "Oh Luce hi."

"Have you always liked boiling hot showers?" He asked amused as I wrapped up my hair.

"Yes, used to drive my boyfriend insane. To the point he stopped showering with me." He stiffened when I mentioned my boyfriend. "So, you better have a good water heater." I stopped in front of him a foot away. "Luce?"

Lucifer met my eyes when he heard my serious tone, "Yes precious?"

"When we get home can you do me a favor?" I absent-mindedly ran my thumb over the scars on my wrist.

"Of course, whatever you need." He looked concerned and he should be.

"I hope this doesn't change the way you see me. But I need you to hide or lock up the knives, or any sharp object really." I looked away, my eyes stinging but Lucifer grabbed my hips and pulled me closer.

"Beautiful I will do whatever you need to feel safe even if it's from yourself." He tipped my chin up to look at me. "Understand?"

I nodded, "Yes sir."

He gently let go of my body and I instantly missed his warm touch because even after taking the hottest shower possible I felt cold. "Good girl. I'll send Shadow back in, Seph had to go take care of something." I nodded and let him go, I needed this night alone. The mate bond was a heady feeling and it wanted his touch all over me. But my brain was definitely not ready for that.

Shadow came in with Cerberus right behind her. "Are you both going to keep me company?" When Shadow gave me a nod I smiled, "No hanky panky." I crawled into bed and each dog took a side next to me.

The next morning, I stretched in bed. The dogs were both still beside me. But I wasn't alone for long, Seph stepped into the room. "Good morning sweetie. I have some fresh clothes for you." She held up a simple red maxi dress, "I'll let you get changed." She laid the dress on the bed and then left. I changed quickly as the dogs watched on.

"Well how do I look? Presentable?" I asked the dogs who were getting cozy on the bed.

"You look beautiful as always." I hadn't even heard him come in. I turned to look at him.

"I wish I felt like it." I whispered wishing I had long sleeves to cower behind. His gaze was burning me up.

"I know Levina and someday you feel that way again." He slowly came over to me, he hesitantly cupped my cheek and I caved into his touch. "I will make sure of it." I covered his hand with mine, so I could feel his warmth further. "How are you feeling this morning?"

"My body is a little achy even after being healed. And my mind feels like I'm stuck in a fog and if I think about it too hard, I feel like I could get lost in it." I slouched in his touch.

"Then let's not let you get lost." I nodded slowly, "Let's go say goodbye to Speh and Hades and go home." I nodded and cuddled into his hand. Lucifer ran his hand down my arm to lace his with mine and pulled me towards the living room.

Hades and Persephone stood in the middle, Hades' arm around her waist. I looked to Hades first, "Thank you for rescuing me and letting me stay here."

"Of course, dear." Seph moved forward the same time I did. The hug was tentative at first but I took back a little piece of my soul and hugged her hard.

"Thank you for taking care of me and being my friend." She wiped away my tears.

"Always sweetie." She cupped my cheeks, "We'll get together later this week and watch a movie, okay?"

I nodded, "I'd like that." Shadow came over and nudged my leg, so I pulled out of Persephone's embrace and hugged my baby. "You be good, okay? I'm so happy for you." I kissed her forehead as Cerberus came over for a hug too. "You be good to her." He gave me a sloppy kiss on my cheek. "Gee thanks." I stood and looked at Lucifer who had a longing look on his face. "I'm ready."

Lucifer shook hands with Hades before hugging Persephone. "Be a gentleman." Seph said quietly and Lucifer covered his heart.

"I'm wounded woman, I'm always a gentleman." He gave me a devilish grin as he looked down at me and winked. I blushed and looked away, then I felt us teleport.

"You know when I first got here you said we wouldn't be doing that often." I said teasingly as I took a step back to look at him.

"Ah but now you love it right?" He said back just as teasingly. There's no way I'd ever be able to brat against him. And the smile he's giving me says he knows that too.

"It's not horrible." I say looking around the house. "Do you have to go to work?"

"I do I'm sorry. I'm behind on several projects." I looked down at the floor, that was my fault.

"I could come in and help you." I said as I met his eyes and saw a pitying look.

His head was shaking before I could argue. "At least for a few days I want you to stay here where it's safe. The house is yours do what you want." He waved his hand and a phone appeared. "My number and Bee's are in there. There's food in the kitchen, please eat." I nodded and he gave me a small smile then popped away. Now what am I supposed to do?
