Levi, Jules, and I all sat at the kitchen table eating while we waited for Carter who was running a little late.
"Carter is going to freak." Jules said.
"Ugh I don't need you to remind me Jules." I sighed.
"Look I could leave, I have connections and I'll stay at the beach house that I bought you." Levi suggested.
"No Levi. You stay here and I'll help you."
"No Aurora, you mister will leave right now!" Jules got up but sat right back down when she heard the door open.
"Hey girls, sorry I'm running late. We got some more info on Levi and got a citing." He said as he walked towards me and kissed my cheek.
"Hey baby. You look pretty surprised." He chuckled and looked toward Jules but his smile faded.
Levi and him made eye contact and Levi got up from his seat.
"WHAT IS HE DOING HERE?!" He yelled which made Jules and I jump in our seats.
"I-I can explain." I mumbled quickly.
"No no no. You son of bitch, I'M GOING TO KILL YOU." Carter ran to Levi and pushed a fist into Levi's face.
Levi fell back and they fought even more.
Breaking glass and even the table.
We pleaded for them to stop but they wouldn't, we even tried to pull them apart but they wouldn't budge.
They got up tiredly and Levi was ready to throw another punch but I ran in front of Carter and placed my hand on Levi's chest.
While holding Carter's hand behind me, I squeezed it.
"Please Levi, stop. Both of you just calm down, please." I nodded.
"Okay okay." Levi said and lifted his hand in surrender.
I turned around and held Carter's face.

"Hey look at me." I whispered.
"Rory." He hugged me.
"It's okay. Come on let me fix you up."
I turned and look up at Levi.
"Both of you."

Jules was gone picking up the girls from the babysitter.
I cleaned up the mess that Levi and Carter created while they sat on the sofa holding ice to their heads, completely silent watching the game.
Soon I finished and I sat in front of them.
"Why Levi?" I look up at him.
He stayed quiet, not able to make eye contact with me.
"Why hurt me?" Tears rolled down my eyes.
"I thought you'd changed when I had the girls. But I couldn't have more wrong! Turns out the girls aren't even yours and...and if that isn't enough you...you beat me." Carter held my hand as I cried.
"I'm so sorry Aurora. Honestly hurting you is my biggest regret." He started to cry.
I stood up and looked down on him as he sobbed.
I let go of Carter's hand and sucked in a breath.
I raised my hand and slapped Levi's face so hard that my palm was red and burning.
My hand print was marked on his skin and he cried even more.
"I know I've been all sweet and nice, that's how Aurora's supposed to always be. Nice and sweet and...weak. Just someone's wife and a mother. Well I'm fucking done with that, that's not who I am. It's my fault that I chose a disgrace of a man to marry but now I'm gonna start making the right choices."
I pulled on his hair abruptly and he winced.
"You disgust me. Did you know that I still have bruises from the day you hit me? Because you hurt me so damn hard! Real men don't hit women. You're nothing and you're gonna be nothing for the rest of your life. So fuck you for doing all shit you made me go through. I hope you rot wherever you end up."

"Aurora please, I love you so much." He sobbed.
"Oh please just save it. Carter, do your thing." I nodded and Carter stood up and took out his hand cuffs.
"Levi Pierce, You have the right to remain silent. Anything you say can and will be used against you in a court of law. You have the right to an attorney. If you cannot afford an-."
"No No No!" Levi ran to the door and it opened with a few more of Carter's work buddies, holding guns and Levi moved back.
"Don't make it harder for yourself Levi." Carter said clicking the hand cuffs tightly on Levi's wrists.
As they walked towards the door, Levi took one last look at me.
"You'll always be the love of my life Rory." He said.
"I want a divorce." I smirked at him.
