I sat in Carters room trying to think about what am I going to do, what am I going to tell the girls, where's Levi, how could he do this to me.

I heard a soft knock on the open door and look up to see Millie.

"Hey mama, can I come in?" She said with her thumb in her mouth.

"Of course baby." I extend my arms for her to come into my embrace.

"Mommy?" She whispers in my chest.

"Yes sweetie?"

"Where's daddy? I miss him."

I froze for a moment.

She misses Levi.

"Mommy? Did you hear me?" She said popping me out of my trance.

"Yes, uh um. Sorry yes baby I heard you um. Daddy is working really hard. He-he wants to get you that big doll house that you wanted, remember? So he has to work hard to get it for you."

Total lie.

"I don't want that anymore! I want papa!" She started crying and it broke my heart.

These girls loved there father.

That night where he did those awful things to me was something they barely could understand.

I can't tell her the truth, not just yet.

She's too young and won't understand, neither will her sister.

"Mommy can we see daddy? Blair says she doesn't want to see him...I don't know why. But I do mama, please." She looked up at me with those sad puppy eyes and it shattered my heart.

"Okay baby. I'll talk to your father and we'll see."

While the girls were playing in their room, I went to Carter who was cooking in the kitchen.

I hugged him from behind which surprised him but he quickly melted in my embrace.

"Hey puppy." He said and I smiled against his back.

"Carter." I said and began to cry.

He turned around and held my face.

"Babe what's wrong?" He said softly.

"Millie, she-she wants to see Levi. She misses him and I don't know what to do."

"Aurora relax okay? You can't be like this in the condition you're in. Try to calm down beautiful." He kisses my forehead and held me close as I sobbed in his chest.

He rubbed his hand up and down my back.

"We'll find Levi and I'm going to put that asshole in jail. I'll never let him hurt you or the girls ever again."

I hope so.
