"What's it like- living with Lily?" I asked in total panic.

I didn't know what to do or how to change the subject! Anthony was way to close to my ear. My face was tomato red and I felt my heart almost exploding, but I kept it in. I can almost imagine what his breath would feel against my very own skin.

Suddenly, he chuckled, and my whole world melted again. Then, I could finally see color. Not in a dull way like I used to, but it was more vibrant. I loved every single bit of it.

I couldn't help, but think about her. Would she be proud? Would she be mad? I looked at the beautiful girl next to me. Her eyes were widened as if she just saw something for the first time. Did she see it too?

I combed my chocolate brown locks, looking up to the night sky. That's when I remembered.

She ran out of the doorway with tears in her eyes. I couldn't do anything, but just watch the horror unleash. My five year old figure wouldn't help her against a 30 year old man. Of course, it is her work and I can't interfere with her work.

"Come back here, you bitch! I'm not done with you!" The 30 year old man yelled.

His voice was raspy. He wore a suit and even if he's 30, he looks like an old man. He has a long beard and a few strands of gray hair. He looked like a business man and I can tell, he was a man of power.

They started yelling at each other. Well, he was yelling at her. She kept trying to run away, but she couldn't. I couldn't. I was crying, but I wouldn't move. It's what we do to make a living anyway. All of a sudden, she tripped and fell. He towered over her, yelling at her, saying inappropriate things in her ear.

Then, he looked at me. He looked at me straight in the eyes. I can tell he was mad, but when he looked at me, he was even more pissed.

Suddenly, he grabbed her hair and pulled it, making her cry even more. He pulled her up even more with her hair and grabbed an empty alcohol bottle on the table next to him. He looked at her without any sympathy and hit the bottle on the table it was on. The glass shattered, making a jagged, sharp half of a bottle.

Before anything happened, for a split second, she looked at me and smiled. A genuine smile that lit up my world.

Then he stabbed her with the bottle.

Then my whole world came crashing. He walked back upstairs, probably going to come back with cleaning supplies.

I was so shocked, I couldn't even cry. I ran to her side. She was losing blood fast and I couldn't do anything but cry on her chest. She used all her energy that was left to pet my hair. Before she lost a lot of blood, she grabbed my head and whispered into my ear.

"Find her."

I looked back at the girl next to me. I couldn't help, but smile a little at her eyes that were glowing. My smile soon fell to a frown as I thought about my future.
