I walked into the mansion and saw Klaus coming my way. I smiled but it faded when i realized that he was on his way out.

Me "are you leaving already?"

Nik nodded "I'm sorry, love, Elijah needs my help with something"

I nodded disappointedly "oh, ok"

Nik gave me a kiss on my forehead and left.

I sighed and sat down on the sofa.

I bit my nail and heard someone walk inside. I looked up and saw Elijah.

I asked surprised "Elijah?"

Elijah smiled when he saw me "Paige, why are you sitting here all by yourself?"

I stood up "Klaus said he wanted to meet up with you"

Elijah shook his head confused '"not possible. I'm on my way to meet Rebekah at the cemetery"

I sighed "alright"

Elijah "is everything okay between you and him?"

I lied "yes, sure"

Elijah smiled and walked out.

I was still sitting on the sofa. It was midnight and Klaus hadn't shown up yet. I stood up and made my way to the stairs. I stopped when i heard the front door slam shut. I turned around and saw Klaus walking into the living room.

Me "Klaus"

He turned to me.

I crossed my arms over my chest "I don't think of myself as a jealous type of Girlfriend, you know that"

He nodded.

Me "But i hate being held for a fool, Klaus"

Klaus shook his head "i would never"

Me "Doesn't seem like that, Klaus"

Klaus sighed.

Me "Are you cheating on me, Klaus?"

He asked surprised "What?"

Me "you heard me. You've become so distant lately. Are you cheating on me or not?"

Klaus shook his head "No"

I let out a relieved breath.

Klaus "Why would you even ask such a thing?"

Me "Because you've become so distant lately. Why? Did i do something wrong?"

Klaus shook his head "It's not you, love, it's me"

I scoffed "yeah, because that sentence is the key for peace"

Me "What, Klaus? Why did you distant yourself from me"

Klaus "You wanna know why?"

I nodded "Yes, Nik, please"

Klaus "i was scared"

My eyes widened surprised "scared? you?"

Klaus nodded "Yes. I was scared to be in love with you and i thought i could get over you by distant myself from you. And then i realized something"

My voice cracked "Klaus-"

Klaus "That my love for you is stronger than anything"
