I was sitting on the bed watching TV. There was a knock on the rook door.

Me "no"

It still opened and guy stood there leaning against the doorframe.

Kai "When are you gonna come out of your hobbit hole and go out?. You haven't left the house since the incident with Bonnie"

I sighed "her words are still hurting me"

Kai sighed and walked to me. He sat down next to me on the bed.

Kai "Because of your father?"

I looked down and nodded. My father was a emotional blackmailer of a son of a bitch. He always made fun of me and called me names because i was a dreamer and not realistic like others.

Kai "Bonnie didn't know about your past with your father. She was trying to protect you, sweetcheeks"

I closed my eyes "don't say her name, please."

I looked at him "I can protect myself, Kai. It's not on her to tell me who i can have a realtionship with and with who not. It's alone my desicion"

Kai put a hand on my knee "Gaby"

Me "Can we just forget about it? please?"

Kai nodded. He knows i was still hurting and i know that it hurt him seeing me like that.

Kai "of course"

Suddenly my phone started to ring.

Kai grabbed it from the nightstand and gave it to me.

Me "thanks"

He nodded. I looked at the caller ID, it was Damon.

I asnwered it "Damon?"

Damon "Already heard the news?"

Me "What news?"

Damon "Blondie flipped her switch off. Again. "

My jaw droped "Wait? What!? Why?"

Damon "you asking me?. No one knows why? I bet Stefan knows it though. But he wouldn't say a word"

Me "Want me to hep you?"

Damon "you sure? i heard what happened"

Me "I need to take my mind off with something. Besides, if Caroline turned off her feelings again then it could repeat history. Last thing we need is Ripper Stefan running around"

Damon "Alright."

Me "Do you know where she is?"

Damon "at a bar."

Me "See you there"

I hung up and jumped out of the bed.

Kai "Where are you going?"

Me "You heard Damon."

Kai "Want me to come with you?"

I shook my head "i can handle myself, Kai"

I gave him a quick kiss and left.

At a bar.

I walked inside and saw Caroline lying on the barcounter laughing at god knows what. The bar was empty. Well, the barkeeper was lying on the ground without a head on his neck. Damon wasn't here yet.

I raised an eyebrow "Care?"

She sat up happy to see me. Too happy for someone who's got no feelings.

Caroline smiled "The Dreamer is here, everybody!"

She and i were the only ones here.

She jumped off the counter.

Caroline "you know, i think i get why your father left you, i mean, dreamers are like mentally ill people. That's who you are going to be for the rest of your miserable life. I bet he wished for another daughter, one that wasn't so worthless and broken like you"

How dare this bitch?

I gulped down my tears.

I put a hand on my hip "At least i'm not being a failure to the memory of my mother"

I was fuming by now. Who the hell does she thnk she is talking to my girl like that. After everything. I know Gaby said i needed to stay home but i couldn't just stay home when she was putting herself in danger.

Caroline's face turned angry. Oh shit. She broke a chair and rammed it's leg and grabbed the leg. She speeded in front of me, ready to stake me but then suddenly Kai and Damon showed up and pushed her away from me.

Kai turned to me. He tried to reach out for me but i took a step back and shook my head in tears.

My voice went dry "Don't"

What have i done to everybody to treat me like this. Caroline, my friend, when to far with bringing my father into this. And she knows that.

I looked around and speeded out. I heard KAi and Damon yelled after me but i didn't care.

I speeded to the top of the clock tower. I looked at the town in front of me.

Should i turn it off or not?

First dad, then Bonnie and now there's a emotionless Caroline running around.

I sighed "i can't do this anymore"

I closed my eyes ready to let it all go.

Suddenly i heard someone yelled "No!"

I opened my eyes and looked around.

Me "Kai?"

He was standing next to me.

He shook his head like he knew what i was about do.

Kai "Don't do it"

Me "Why not?"

Kai "Remember what i told you when you said you were a dreamer when we met?"

I nodded "Yeah and you were sarcastic "Dreamer are the light of mankind""

Kai sighed "i was wrong to be sarcastic"

My Jaw droped "Malachai Parker saying he's wrong, i should be recording this"

He started to laugh "Well, you are and believe it or not, you're the only dreamer able to change a psychopath and that isn't a mental illness, it's a blessing, hell, it's a miracle of if you ask me. Don't give that up just because of emotional attack from people who doesn't know shit. You're stronger than all of them together"

I sighed "i guess ,i can be"

He put his arm around my shoulder "i'm here for you, we're a team." The Dreamer and The Sociopath" Remember?"

I chuckled "Now reformed Sociopath"

Flashback.

The day after the Kai and Luke merge.

I looked through the kitchen of the Salvatore mansion for Candles. Couldn't find any.

I yelled "Damon! I can't find the candles!"

Damon yelled from the living room "Counter"

I saw them, grabbed them and walked back into the living room.

I saw Elena, Damon and that sociopath.

That guy cleard his throat as if he was asking who the hell i was.

Elena "Kai, that's Stefan's Girlfriend Gaby. Gaby that-"

I put the candles down "That's the so called sociopath Malachai"

I walked back into the kitchen.

I heard Kai "It's Kai, by the way"

Damon "You're lucky she even said anything"

I giggled.

A few days later

I walked into the Salvatore mansion only to see Kai sitting in an armchair. MY armchair.

Kai smiled "Gaby"

I nodded "Kai"

There was no one at the house. Elena was with the girls, Damon wanted to drink at the grill. Looks like he took Stefan with him.

Kai "Bonnie's ok, so don't worry"

I looked at him "i knew you could come through, y'know ,i don't judge you for being a sociopath"

Kai raised an eyebrow suprised "That's a first"

I chuckled "Dreamers are just as weird as sociopaths here and sadly i am a dreamer"

Kai rolled his eyes chuckled "Dreamers are the light of mankind"

I raised my hands "no need to be sarcastic..what i mean is since you're having all these feelings..empathy and such, if you need help....I'm here. Just don't kill me in process"

Kai raised an eyebrow "like a duo or something?"

I nodded "The dreamer and the sociopath"

KAi smirked nodding "i like the idea"
