Chapter 21

I stood there with my mouth hanging open in shock while Kevin giggled in Alek’s arms it was so cute to watch I couldn’t help but smile.

“Your my daddy Keith said so” Kevin giggled hugging his father.

I could see the small smile that Alek had turn into a massive grin he hugged Kevin back laughing at his childish behaviour.

I didn’t understand what was going on and I knew I needed answers and for that to happen I had to talk to Alek alone.

“Okay Locus pack this is the Amor Vita pack please be respectful towards them and get to know one another while I talk with Alek” I spoke across the silence that had been present since the shock announcement.

I saw some of the wolves snap out of the shock they had been in while Gesibelle stepped forward.

“Welcome to the Locus pack I am the beta female my name is Gesibelle, why don’t you all grab a seat I’m sure some of the boys can run and get a few more there’s plenty of food that needs to be eaten” she giggled.

The Amor vita pack looked towards Alek who nodded his reassurance it took less than five minutes for the packs to be laughing, talking and playing together as if they were old friends.

I looked at Alek and Kevin playing with each other, Alek was running after Kevin who was laughing his head off as he hid behind a tree.

I walked towards him and grabbed him from behind and tickled him while he shrieked begging me to stop and for his daddy to save him.

I was unexpectedly grabbed from behind but I knew it was Alek from the tingles I felt over my body.

“Don’t worry ill save you” Alek said in an American accent it was so bad I couldn’t help but laugh it soon turned into me and Kevin rolling around on the floor clutching our bellies.

I felt so relaxed and happy in that moment we felt like a family I felt my body go cold at the realisation that I still needed answers for the hundreds of questions running through my head.

I knelt on my knees my laughter gone and held Kevin close “hey Honey why don’t you go and get something to eat” I said to him.

“Why Mommy I wants to plays with you and daddy” he pouted upset at having to leave.

“You can play with Daddy later okay right know I need you to go and keep an eye on the other pups for me okay can you do that for mommy” I asked looking into his eyes.

As soon as I finished talking I saw his chest puff out in pride at being given a job ” Okay mommy I’ll do it by daddy” he said hugging Alek and running off.

I turned towards Alek who had a smile on his face as he watched his son run away “we need to talk” as soon as I said those words a serious expression came across his face he nodded at me at put his arm out for me to lead the way.

I linked Drew and told him to keep an eye out and that I would be inside I walked up the stairs towards my office.

As soon as we had sat down I asked him the question that had been on my mind for a long time.

“How are you Kevin’s father?”

He sighed “it’s complicated” he rubbed his hands over his face.

“I have plenty of time to listen” I said he looked in my eyes and started speaking.

“Well when I was about 10 my wolf felt the death of my mate even though we had never met before so I thought I would never have a mate” he said smiling at me.

It made me less anxious knowing he had a mate before as well so it wasn’t just me.

“I kind of didn’t have any hope so I lived life as a single man destined to be alone it made me lonely so I had a few one night stands I didn’t want a relationship because I knew that the girls I was with had mates they would leave me for.”

He took a breath trying to gauge my reaction to his previous comments I couldn’t help but feel immensely jealous of those girls he had been with.

I kept my face blank so he wouldn’t be able to see how I felt as he continued with his tale.

“I met a girl her name was Sienna she was supposed to be one of my one night stands I liked her so saw her a few more times but I soon realised she was money hungry and didn’t like me. It didn’t matter much to me at the time because she told me she was leaving the country and I let her”.

I could tell that what he was going to say next was what I had waited to know.

“About a year ago I was told by a close friend of hers that she had gotten pregnant and had a son my wolf had been feeling weird for a long time whimpering as if something or someone was missing so I knew that he was my son and I had to find him.” He took a breath and continued.

“I located where she left to and came here I found that she was dead but there was no record of my son dying with her and that’s where I lost his trail I was coming to this meeting today to get your help to find him because the council was too busy.”

“I guess you don’t have to look anymore” I said smiling.

“I guess not, I found what I wanted and much more” he said entwining our fingers together.

“Though I am wondering how you found my son and why he calls you mommy not that I mind” he asked in confusion.

So I told him my tale of how I found Kevin in a box that the rogues and hunters had and his fake daddy and what he had said about Kevin and how he used him.

It took me a while to calm him down after that with him stalking towards the door in search of Kellan wanting to rip his throat out for using his son.

After he calmed down I held his hand so he wouldn’t get any ideas which he smiled at I spoke.

“As for why Kevin thinks I’m his mum I don’t know why but our wolves have bonded and I see him as my own.” I said smiling at the thought of him.

“Thank you for caring for him mio cara” he said playing with my hair and stroking my cheek he looked into my eyes and moved towards me I knew he was going to kiss me.

No no no this can’t happen I probably kiss horribly I mean it’s my first kiss I’m totally unprepared. I couldn’t help but feel self-conscious I probably had grass all over myself from rolling around in the grass and my breath probably smelt.

“Oooookayyyyyyyyyy……. Yeahhhhh…..umm immmmmm ummmmmm just gonna go check on Kevin” I said stuttering trying to think of an excuse as I jumped up and away from him towards the door.

What I didn’t realise was that he had gotten up to follow me and he grabbed my wrist pulling me towards him as he backed me up against the wall with his body pressed against mine.

I could feel my breaths coming in gasps and my heart stuttered and began beating at such a fast pace that I knew he would be able to hear it.

“You’re not going to get away from me that easily il mio amore” he whispered into my ear I gasped at the closeness.

He looked into my eyes I was in a trance and couldn’t move away, I didn’t want to he lowered his head and our lips met.

Sparks were flying it was my first kiss and it felt amazing I pulled my arms up and around his neck pulling him closer he growled and I couldn’t help but think that it was really sexy. He suddenly started laughing I looked at him confused.

“So you think my growl is really sexy” he teased a smirk on his face I felt my face turn red.

Mmmhmmm he is sexy and mine

I couldn’t help but feel even more embarrassed at my wolfs confession.

He pulled me back into my arms and he lowered his head to my ear and whispered.

“Il mio compagno I think your very sexy too” he said I shivered as his hot breath was against my neck.

He was going to kiss me again but the door was thrown open we turned to see Trevor run in.

“Alpha the rogues and hunters are attacking …” I tense up about to run out but I can tell there was more that he wanted to say.

“Trevor what else” I asked in my alpha tone there was no time to waste.

“Alpha the black wolf pack is with them” he whispered.
