《You're the guy my dad never shut up about? | S. Rogers [1]》14. After the battle of New York

"I'm coming, I'm coming!"
Galilea put a band-aid on her arm that says 'Ninja Fight' I'm a pathetic ninja. Those aliens know how to put up a fight.
Gali left the bathroom and went to what's left of the living room where Tony is waiting for her. Ha! Now it's the other way around.
"Finally. Geez!" He mumbled.
They went to the garage and got in one of his many cars. He has a big collection. Galilea is partially the reason his collection keeps growing. She's given him a collectible car at least once a year. Either for his birthday or Christmas, but his collection keeps on growing. I think I better stop before it gets out of hand.
When they arrived at the park, everyone was there. Tony has a briefcase containing the tesseract. He took it over to Bruce and Eric Selvig. Gali saw Loki standing in the middle all by himself. He's handcuffed you could say, with something covering his mouth.
For some reason she went over to him and he eyed her as she stood in front of him.
"What's that thing?" Gali tapped the metal thing covering his mouth. He glared at her so she stopped.
"So... I don't know what Thor did to you or what horrific event scarred your childhood, but I don't think that's an excuse to take over the world. But if it were, trust me, I would've taken over it long time ago" Gali joked.
"Having Tony as an older brother is a challenge itself. We have our ups and downs and even tho he drives me crazy sometimes, I still love him. And just because you're adopted doesn't mean you can go around and cause chaos. I don't know if you're listening to me or wishing I would drop dead right here right now, I want you to know that you succeeded in destroying Stark Tower. The one thing I did not want to fix or remodel. But thanks a lot!" She sarcastically said.
"Anyway, good luck in Asgard. You're gonna need it"
It's an instinct for her, to reach out and give someone a hug when they most need it. So that's what she did. She hugged Loki. It didn't last very long. But it was a hug. She let go of him and walked over to her brother.
"What was that about?" He asked.
"It looked like he needed a hug" She simply said.
Thor walked over to them and said his goodbyes. Gali gave him a hug.
"I'm gonna miss you, even tho your hammer nearly killed me" She mumbled "and we practically had no time to bond but it's alright"
"It's alright. Sorry about the hammer" he apologized. He said bye to Tony and then went to join his brother. He handed Loki the other side of the tube and looked back at the team.
"So long friends. I'll come back and have pops of tart with Maiden Stark" Thor announced. Gali felt herself blush.

Thor twisted the end of the tube, turned into a blue mist thing and went up to the sky. After they left the rest of the Avengers said their goodbyes. Actually more of a 'see you later' type of thing.
"Natashaaa!" Galilea exaggeratedly yelled as she embraced her in my arms. "I'm gonna miss you. You and your death threats"
"I'll be back next week" she assured. Gali moved over to Clint and hugged him as well.
"I'll miss you papa bird"
"See you soon baby Avenger. And rumor has it that there's gonna be a party at Stark Tower next week" he said.
"Mhm. Sure" She hummed. She gave them one last hug before going over to Steve.
"Hi!" She sat on the concrete railing.
"Hi" he sat next to me.
"Listen, I wanna apologize for the outburst on the helicarrier. I was tired and stressed, and sometimes I get really defensive over my brother" Galiela tried to apologize. Steve chuckled and smiled. God, such a cute smile.
"It's okay. I'm sorry as well" he apologized. Gali lightly smiled and looked down at the ground for a few seconds.
"How's life?" She asked, trying to get a conversation going.
"I've been sleeping for 70 years. So I'm not quite sure on the answer yet" he replied "How's yours?" He asked.
Gali looked at him and he's looking at her. She noticed that he has long eyelashes for a guy. But it suits him. She stared at his blue eyes before answering.
"Can't complain. Well actually I can. That beat down yesterday, that was bad. But either than that I'm good. So, what do you think of the new generation? Or century?" She asked.
"It's different. Everything's different" he said. Gali nodded.
"I would expect everything from World War Two till now to be different" they both laughed a little. "Have you had the chance to see New York in all its glory and such?"
"No" he replied.
"I can show you around, if you don't mind. I can also help you with the technology, get a grip on the twenty first century" She offered.
"I'd like that" he nodded. Gali smiled.
From the corner of her eye she saw Tony waving her over. Gali jumped off the rail and turned to Steve.
"I gotta go, but I'll see you around. Alright?" He got off the rail to join the girl on the ground. She reached out and hugged him. It caught him by surprise but he hugged back. They let go at the same time.
"If you need anything you know where to find me. In the big BEAUTIFUL Stark Tower in New York" Gali enunciated the beautiful because he previously called it ugly. He laughed and nodded.
"See you around" he waved.
"See yah!" She waved back before turning around. She went over to Tony who's talking with Bruce.
"Gali, Bruce is moving in with us!" Tony beamed like a three year old. Great, now he has a play mate. Science buddies!

"Great!" She embraced Bruce in a bear hug "New brother" she mumbled into his shoulder.
Galilea doesn't know if this will turn out to be a good thing or it will completely backfire and the tower will fall to ruins. We'll just have to wait and see.
Later that day Galilea was laying down on the couch. It may be out of place but she's still laying on it anyway.
Everything hurts. She's tired and hungry. Tony and Bruce have been down in the lab since they got back and haven't been up there not once. So it's begun.
Her stomach made noises. A cry for food. Ugh! If I weren't this hungry then I would've stayed here and not move. But I stomach is rumbling. She lazily got off the couch and went to the kitchen.
What's good to calm my hunger? Nothing better than a hot pocket. She heated it up in the microwave, put it in the little holder and let it cool down.
"Galilea!" She heard Kamilla yell out her name. What's she doing here? Gali went out to the living room and saw here standing in the middle of the room looking at her surroundings.
"Not pretty, huh?" She turned around and gave her friend a bone crushing hug.
"I thought something happened to you" she said into her hair.
"I told you I'm always careful" Gali smiled. They let go of each other and looked down at the destroyed floor.
"What happened here?"
"I'm not quite sure. Tony was suppose to clean this up... I gotta go yell at him" Gali grumbled as she went down to the lab.
She came across the glass doors, put the password in -which isn't much of a secret since everyone there knows it, even Kami and her brother Emil- Gali walked in and saw Tony and Bruce standing around a table doing something.
"What are you doing? I told you to clean up before someone-" She didn't finish because Jarvis interrupted her.
"Miss Stark in sorry to interrupt but Miss Rosenthal-"
"She got hurt, didn't she?" Gali interrupted him, already knowing what her friend is up to.
"Yes"
Gali sighed.
"Before something like that happens" she finished.
"What's Kamilla doing here?" Tony asked.
"She came to check on us. But now we need to check on her" She got out of the lab and went back up. Kamilla is lying on the floor where it's all messed up, exaggeratedly crying out in pain.
"One, you actually hurt yourself. Two, you're just exaggerating" Gali numbered off. Kami put up two fingers. Tsk, tsk, tsk. Always exaggerating. Bruce and Tony walked in and stared at the fallen Kami.
"What happened to her?" Tony asked.
"I was walking-I guess my foot got stuck or something- it was painful so I laid down" Kami explained, motioning to her right ankle. At least she's not wearing heels, because if she were then this would've ended differently.
"Good thing a doctor lives with us" Gali smiled. Kami's head shot up.
"A doctor? Tony is anything but a doctor! Remember that time when I popped a knuckle and Tony insisted that I dislocated a finger?! And then I went to the ER because he managed to dislocate it!" Kamilla exclaimed. Gali nodded at the memory.
"I was only trying to help" Tony defended himself "But yeah, that was kinda funny" he smiled. Kamilla sent him a death glare "I mean messed up, that's was messed up" he quickly changed response.
Bruce kneeled down to check on Kami's ankle.
"Ow ow ow!" She cried out.
"Sorry" Bruce said. He kept checking the ankle and after a while said "You sprained your ankle"
"Great" she mumbled.
She then started to ramble about how she was going to die and her foot is going to be amputated. She seriously exaggerates a lot when it comes to injuries. And she's seriously starting to drive Gali crazy.
"Get the frying pan" she told Tony.
"Don't have to tell me twice" he left to the kitchen and Bruce looked at her weirdly. When Tony came back with the pan in hand, Bruce asked,
"Why the frying pan?"
"To get her to shut up. She thinks we're gonna hit her with it" Gali explained.
"You never know what they're gonna do" Kami said.
Tony lifted the pan just a little bit and she immediately shut up. Bruce told Gali to get some ice, so she did. She went to the kitchen, grabbed an ice pack from the freezer and went back out. She placed it on Kami's ankle and she shuddered "That's cold" she shivered.
"That's what you get for not watching your step. Now get up" She ordered Kami.
She slowly sat up and Galilea sweats that when Kamilla and Bruce locked eyes, they froze. It reminded her of Hotel Transylvania when Mavis and Johnny met, how their eyes did that shining, the zing. Well that's what happened. They zinged. She thought it was the cutest thing ever.
They helped Kami to the couch and when Bruce left to get something, Kami turned to me "Who's he?"
"That's Bruce Banner. He's living with us for now" she told her.
"He's kinda cute" she said. Kinda? She likes him alright. Just how you like Steve. Her subconscious told her. Shut up! Bruce came back with something in hand "What's that?" Kami asked.
"An ankle brace" he said before putting it around Kami's ankle "You won't be able to do much for the next couple of days" Kami frowned and sighed.
"On the bright side" Gali started "You can make your brother do anything you want" she smirked and rubbed her hands in an evil way. I feel sorry for her brother.
