It had been a few days and Rory's fever had finally broke

Of course that didn't stop everyone from hovering over her

They treated her like she was completely helpless

Someone always slept with her, she wasn't left alone for a single second, including the shower

When she went to the bathroom they would wait outside the door for her

Not to mention that they carried her everywhere, telling her that she should save her energy

Currently, Rory was laying in bed with Loki, while he read to her

He was reading from a poetry book

Rory didn't really care for poetry, but Loki's voice, now that was what was keeping her in her spot

His deep and mellow voice

She could fall asleep to his voice

Loki did eventually put the book down, much to Rory's dismay

"We should get you some dinner" he said

Rory groaned and only held onto him tighter

"Come one darling" he said chuckling and standing up with her in her arms

He walked them both down the hall and into the elevator

They stoped a few times and Natasha, Peter, and Sam got on

"Are you sick again?" Peter asks with wide eyes

"No, she not sick. She just doesn't feel like walking" Loki said rolling his eyes sarcastically

They made it to the living room floor and walked towards the kitchen and dining area

He put Rory down on one of the chairs, next to Pietro

"No, we did not just have sex" Rory said looking at Pietro and brushing her hair down

Pietro looked at her confused and looked over at his sister

"What do you mean? Nothings wrong with me" Rory said turning to Tony

"Of course I can hear you Wanda. What the hell is going on with all of you?" Rory asked slightly irritated

"We haven't said anything out loud" Tony said

"What do you mean 'out loud' of course you said it out loud, how else would I have been able to hear hear you" Rory says shaking her head and laughing

When no one else joined in on her laughter she her face froze

"What's going on?" She asked seriously

"You're hearing our thoughts" Wanda said

"No way?" Rory said shaking her head

"How?" She asked again quietly

"Your powers" Wanda said

"But I could never read people's minds or hear their thoughts" Rory stated

"Where there could be a possibility that's your powers were always going to develop, but since you suppressed them for so long the change was unnoticed, until you used them at Bahrain" Bruce said

"This cannot be happening" she whispered to herself

"We'll call Dr. Cho and Fury" Steve said walking away

"Eat something, please" Pietro said putting his hand on her leg

She picked at the food on her plate, barley bringing her fork up to her mouth

After they had eaten they waited in the living room

"It's gonna be ok" Wanda said, pulling Rory into her side

Wanda used one of her hands to pet Rory's head, in hopes of calming her down

10 minutes later Jarvis informed them that Dr. Cho and Nick Fury had arrived

They went up to the med bay and saw them both waiting there

"Do you feel ok? Did you hurt yourself?" Fury asked upon Rory's arrival

"No, I don't know why this is happening" Rory said quietly

"We'll figure it out" Dr. Cho said

"You were recently sick yes?" She asked

"Yes but I don't think that had anything to do with my powers" Rory said

"Maybe, but I just want to check all the boxes" Dr. Cho said

"Have you been getting any headaches or migraines?" She asked again

"She has" Steve answered

"She's taken a pain reliever almost everyday for weeks now" he added

"And you say that she's reading your thoughts?" Dr. Cho asks looking up from her clipboard

Steve nods

"I don't notice. It just sounds like they're talking to me normally. And I'm not doing it on purpose" Rory said

"Ok, I've installed new tech that will allow us to do a full body scan and check for other injuries, and exposure of any type. It may be able to tell us what exactly is going on" Dr. Cho said

Rory laid back on the small bed and stared up at the white fluorescent lights

A few minutes later, she's told she can sit up

Two images pop up side by side on the large computer screen

"What are we looking at?" Tony asked

"It's the power in Rory's body, right?" Bruce asked

"That's right Dr. Banner. This is Rory's power when it was first discovered, when she was 10" Dr. Cho said pointing to the picture on the right

"This is from right now" she said pointing to the left

The left was almost all blue while the right only had a few blobs

"Your powers have developed substantially. That's probably why you have these new powers as well" Dr. Cho said smiling sympathetically

"So what do I do?" Rory asked

"You train, you get used to your new powers" Wanda said

She looked at Dr. Cho who nodded

"Thank you Helen" Fury said as she made her way out

"Can't you just get something more powerful to suppress my abilities?" Rory asked Fury

"Your power is just going to keep growing. You gave to learn to control it now. No more hiding from it" Fury says seriously

"You can start training with me tomorrow" Wanda said smiling

Rory nodded

"We should all get to bed we have a big week ahead of us" Clint said

Rory decided she would go down to the main floor since she had left her phone and water bottle on the table
