The three of us walk towards a a set of double doors with two men dressed in armor standing in front of them

They each bow their heads respectfully and when Loki nods his head the open the doors allowing us to enter

We walk in and see Odin and Frigga holding hands at the table and laughing lightly

"Ah welcome, sit, sit!" Odin says smiling brightly

"Sorry we're late, we just finished getting fitted for tonight's ball" Thor said

Odin was sat at the head of his table with Frigga directly to his right

Loki goes and sits next to their mother and Thor pulls out my seat and then sits himself in between me and his father

"It's not a problem, we just got seated ourselves" Frigga says

As if on cue people come in with covered trays

They place them in front of us and pull of the covers and walk out

We all began to eat as Thor asks his father how things have been on Asgard for the time he's been away

I'm completely unfocused on the conversation until I hear Odin say my name

"So, Lorelia, how long ago did you meet my sons?" Odin asked taking a sip out of his chalice

"It's been almost a year now" I say clearing my throat

"And how exactly did you meet them?" He asked again

I take a breath feeling a little nervous

I feel Thor's large hand on my thigh and he tries easing my nerves by running it over my thigh and knee

"Um well, I was originally living in London with my step family, but when I turned 18 I moved back to New York to work at Shield" I say smiling

Frigga thankfully guided the conversation away from my life and began talking about Thor's and Loki's childhood making us all laugh

Lunch went by perfectly and we all finished soon

"Lorelia dear, how about we go out and have a stroll in the garden while these three discuss whatever it is that men discuss" Frigga asks lightly laughing

"Of course" I say standing with her

Thor grabs my hand and kisses as he says goodbye

Frigga loops her arm around mine and we both walk out the doors and towards the garden

Once we get closer I see the garden up close

My breath is completely taken away

"This is incredible" I whisper

"Isn't it. This is the one part of the palace that I won't let anyone mess with. I always come out here when I'm feeling overwhelmed and just need to get away from everything" She says as we keep walking through

"Come let's have tea" She guides us to a gazebo surrounded by water

The view is absolutely incredible from here

"You make my boys very happy my dear" She says as we sit down

"Not nearly as happy as they make me your highness" I respond smiling

Shit I hope that was the right thing to call her

I should've asked Thor and Loki earlier

"Theres no need to overthink dear, call me Frigga, or mother if you'd like" Frigga says smiling and putting her hand on top of mine

In that moment I began to tear up

"What the matter dear? I hope I didn't say anything to offend you" she says to me concerned

"No not at all, you didn't say anything wrong" I say shaking my head

"But your crying" she says cautiously

"You just," I take a breath and wipe my tears before continuing

"You remind me so much of my own mother. She was always loving and caring, beautiful as well. Strong and courageous, and always willing to do anything to keep me safe, even if that meant getting herself hurt. In the same way I know you would do anything to keep Thor and Loki safe" I say smiling at her

"Not just then dear" she says also smiling

What the hell is she talking about

"I protect my family, and now that includes you as well, you are my new daughter and I will protect you like your mother once did" she said pulling me into a hug and kissing my head

I did not plan on crying dammit!

"Come now, no tears, my sons will be furious if they find that you cried in my presence" she says which makes me chuckle lightly

We stayed out there talking for who knows how long

We only got snapped back into reality when Thor and Loki came to us

"How much tea can two people possibly drink" Loki says slightly annoyed

"Watch your tone with me son" Frigga says jokingly while pulling Loki's ear

"I'm just getting to know my future daughter" she tell them

"Well it's about time we all get ready for the ball tonight mother" Thor says smiling

"Ah yes, you two will go in the east wing with your father to get ready, we'll be in the west parlor, we'll meet you outside the ball room for the grand entrance" Figga says trying to push her sons in the right direction

"Can we at least speak with our soulmate?" Thor says dramatically

"If you must, I suppose I will make my way to the parlor and you can show her there when your done speaking, but don't be too long " she says walking away

"So, what did you two talk about? Loki asks with slight nervousness

"Nothing much, she did tell me some wonderful stories from when you two were younger" I say smirking as we continue walking through the garden

"What exactly did she tell you" Thor asks

It's obvious that there both nervous but trying to play it off

"Well she did tell me this on great story." I say

The both look at me expectingly

"It was about how when you two were younger Thor loved snakes" I start

"You'll have to be a tad bit more specific love" Loki says

"The one of how Thor once found a snake on the ground and when he went to pick it up you transformed into yourself and stabbed him" I says a little pointedly

Sure we all threatened to hurt our siblings severely but we bet actually do it

Thor pouts and glares angrily at Loki while Loki just smirks a little and keeps his attention forward

"That was a wonderful story wasn't it" Loki says casually

"Not for the one who got stabbed" Thor mumbled

Buh that time we had reached what I assumed was the parlor

"Here's our stop, but we will see you in a bit at the ball love" Loki says

He and Thor both give me quick kisses and wave goodbye going back the way we came

I open the door to find Frigga sitting on a chair and having someone fix her hair

I get immediately sat on the chair a few feet away from her

"She's a natural beauty isn't she?" Frigga says

"She most certainly is" the other woman says while the rest nod in agreement which makes me blush slightly

"Let's get started shall we" one of the women says to me
