While we were in the car I got a call from Fury asking me to get to shield

So when we get back to the tower I get in my car and leave with a simple goodbye

When I get there I'm met with Maria, who takes me to Nick

"What's up, Nick" I ask him

"Nothing, I just wanted to ask how you felt after that conference, that and you seem a little off today. Did something happen?" He asks me curiously

"No I'm fine" I say trying to smile

"Good because I need you on a mission" he says pulling out a file from behind his back

"There's someone I need information from. He has an office, where I'm guessing he keeps his files, I need you to bring back as many files as you can, they will be in his computer, and there is a flash drive somewhere in that office. Find it. I need them ASAP so just grab everything and bolt. Understand" he tells me

"Yes sir" I say taking the flash drive that Maria hands me

The avengers called Fury because it had been an hour since Rory left and they hadn't heard anything from her

"Where's Rory?" Tony asks Fury on the phone

"She's on a mission, you didn't know" Fury asks a little surprised

"No, we didn't" Tony says

"She must be mad at you" Fury responds

"Yea, something like that" Tony mutters bitterly before before hanging up

Rory was in the dark building right now about to enter this mans office

She enters quietly and gets to work

She opens every drawer and every cabinet until she finally finds the flash drive

Then she goes over to the computer and plugs her own flash drive in

She hacks into the sever and decided to just download all the files just Incase

Once she has everything she safely tucks the flash drives away she starts to make her way out

About halfway through the hallway a loud blaring alarm goes off

"Dammit" Rory mumbles and starts running

She pulls out her guns knowing that she might need them

She rounds the corner and sees dozens of men

They see her and she start attacking

She easily shoots and fights

A man come at her, she kicks him in the face breaking his nose

Another one comes at her with a knife which she twists out of hand and stabs him with it in the shoulder

She shoots the last two

All of a sudden she feels an extreme amount of pain

She turns around to see one of the men on the floor shot her

She shoots him in the head

She winces as she see that she got shot in the shoulder

She runs as fast as she can out the building and to her ride to shield

She stays quiet and hides the her shoulder with her hair

She puts the flash drives on the table before walking out

"Are you alright" Fury asks her

"Yea, I've just had a long day" she say walking out

Throughout the years she has become a master at hiding pain

Wether it was physical or mental she could push it to the back of her mind and pretend it never happened

When she gets to the avengers tower she leans against the wall

"Oh thank god your ok. Why didn't you tell us, look I'm really sorry I didn't me–" Tony starts but she cuts him off

"It's ok I'm sorry too, but before you lecture me, I need some help" she says before sliding down the door

When Rory leaves Maria looks at Fury

"You really think he's out there?" she asks Fury

"Oh I know he is. I also know that he saw the press conference and is going to be looking for her. So now, more then ever, we need to find him before he finds her" Fury says seriously
