Ryder has never experienced a longer two weeks in her life. Her trip, though it's for work, is very fun. She meets a lot of amazing people, reconnects with old friends. She keeps in contact with Spencer best she can but with both of them being busy with work and the slight time difference, it's not easy.

She has a scare while at a small cafe with some people. Out of the corner of her eye, she sees a man and her heart drops into her stomach so hard it hurts. Her head whips around to look at him but she sighs when she sees it's not Mark. It looked like him, but when he turns towards her more, she could easily see it wasn't him.

He hasn't really even done anything. Not really. But it's as if he has. After seeing Mark's look-a-like, the fear and anxiety Ryder feels lingers for days.

The plane ride back home feels longer than the two weeks she was away. Ryder's leg bounces, impatiences crawling all over her skin.

When the plane lands and she's able, Ryder grabs her carry-on bag and goes with the flow of people leaving the plane. It goes way to slow for her but in a few minutes, she's off the air-craft and moving through the airport.

Spencer comes into view and a smile pulls Ryder's lips back. She holds onto her bag as she runs towards him but drops it in time to wrap her arms around his neck, her legs going around his waist.

Spencer takes a step back, nearly losing his balance but his hold on her doesn't falter. His arms hold Ryder to him tightly, a laugh escaping his lips.

"I missed you." Ryder says, her voice muffled by his neck.

"I can tell," Spencer mumbles, smile still in place when Ryder lowers herself back to the ground. "I missed you too." Bending down, Spencer keeps his arms around her and crashes his lips onto her in a kiss.

"Let's go home."

Ryder helps Spencer make dinner. The couple speak for hours, catching up after being away for two weeks. Ryder gushes over her growing baby bump, all but bouncing with excitement over her doctor's appointment the next day.

"And I was thinking after we could go over to the house, set up some more stuff."

"I mean we'll have to if we want to move before the baby gets here." Spencer nods. "And get comfortable."

"It's settled," Ryder says before kissing him. "We'll start moving in tomorrow."

"Let's go, let's go," Ryder chants, rocking back and forth on her toes. Spencer chuckles and shakes his head as he slips his arms through the sleeves of his jacket. "Come on."

"Yes, ma'am," Grabbing the keys, Spencer wraps his arm around Ryder's shoulders and leads them both out of the apartment and down to their car. The ride is long for both of them, Ryder can't stop smiling the entire way.

It's cold in the waiting room but neither of them really notice. Ryder holds right to her fiancé's hand and tries to distract herself with a magazine. When her name is called, she's the first one to her feet.

"And how are we feeling today?" The doctor asks while motioning for her to sit on the exam chair.

"Great, excited," Ryder answers easily. "And don't let him fool you, he is to." She motions to Spencer who smiles and shakes his head.

"Well that's great," Linda nods with a small laugh. "You ready?"

"Definitely."

"Then let's get started." In just a few short moments, a graining image of their baby appears on the small screen. Ryder and Spencer's hands are still clasped tightly together, the couple sharing a smile before they both look towards the doctor. "So it's correct that you would both like to know the gender."

"Yes, please," Ryder nods and squeezes Spencer's hand, a spark of excitement shooting through her, causing her heart to skip a beat.

"Alright, well," Lisa gives the screen one last look before turning towards them with a smile. "It's a girl. Congratulations, you're having a daughter."

After leaving the doctor's office, Ryder all but skipped to the car. She would've been happy either way, but finally knowing the gender of their child has brought so much joy to her.

Spencer was much the same. The smile has yet to leave his face. Occasionally, a small laugh will escape Ryder's lips, one of pure happiness and excitement.

They've already chosen the room they're turning into the nursery. Now that they know they're having a girl, Ryder can't wait to start decorating. On their way over, the couple stop to pick up paint for the room. They decide on purple.

"I'm thinking this wall," Ryder motions to the far wall in their baby's future room. "I'll paint a mural. Maybe like a tree with flowers."

"Sounds great," Spencer says with a kiss to her cheek before he moves away, paint-roller in hand. "We have to do this first."

"Yes, yes," Ryder claps her hands before picking up a paintbrush, starting around the doorframes. While the young woman focuses on not getting paint where it shouldn't be, Spencer focuses on the walls. It almost doesn't feel real. He's having a daughter. He can't believe it. In just a few short months, he'll be holding a tiny human being that he helped make. She'll be fifty percent of him. His kid.

"You okay over there?" Ryder's voice brings Spencer back to himself and he only then notices he's stopped painting and instead was staring into space.

"We're having daughter," He says instead of answering his fiancée and she chuckles while nodding her head.

"Yes, yes we are," Ryder sets her paintbrush down, careful not to get paint on the floor and walks over to him. "I think your reaction is a bit more delayed than mine." She mumbles. "Oh, man, this kid is gonna be so spoiled. Mostly by Penelope. She'll be who she runs to when she's upset with us."

"She is her second godmother." Spencer points out. He can already see his daughter as a teenager, upset with him and Ryder over something pointless, storming off to her aunt Penelope's house to vent to the woman who'll listen before talking the girl down.

"Yes," Ryder nods with another laugh. "We should probably inform her of that fact, though."

"Yeah..." Spencer draws the word out and bites his lip. He has no doubt that the woman will accept the position, probably before they've even finished getting the question out. "Later." He shrugs before bending down to kiss Ryder.

Chuckling, Ryder wraps her arms around Spencer's neck and returns the kiss, pressing her lips heavily against his own. "Down boy," Ryder pulls away after a minute. "We need to get this first coat finished."

"Yes, Mrs. Reid."

"Ooh, I like that," Ryder cheeks give a painful twinge when her smile grows but she ignores it. "Though it's not official, I think I'm going to start introducing myself like that."

"Ryder Reid," Spencer says thoughtfully. "Doesn't sound too bad."

"No, it doesn't, does it?" Ryder continues to smile before forcing herself to frown. "Oh, you got something on your nose."

"What?" Spencer's own smile falters and he brings his hand up to touch his face.

"No, it's right..." Ryder trails off while moving closer to him. She reaches towards his nose with her left hand, her right - unbeknownst to Spencer - moves to the paint-roller still in his hand. In the blink of and eye, Ryder swipes some paint onto her finger before dabbing it onto the end of Spencer's nose. "There."

"Is that how it's gonna be?" Spencer asks slowly, making no move to wipe the paint from his face.

"Yes, Mr. Reid, that is how it's going to be." Ryder nods but takes a few small steps back. "You would dare," She says when Spencer holds up the paint roller but he only smiles before moving forward. "No, Spencer!"

It's a girl! Yay! Some of you guys wanted a boy, but don't worry...;) Anyway! I'm so excited for this. Spencer with a little girl? So cute! I do have her name picked out, thank you to all who sent in suggestions, even the ones I don't use I will use for other things lol. They were some really good ones to choose from.

And yes, I skipped Ryder's whole trip but I just, idk, she went and met people and took pictures and maybe got into video editing as well... Some people were suspicious of the trip and I thought about doing something but I've got it figured out now...

Thanks again for reading! Hope you enjoyed!
