Jin entered the bedroom and stopped next to Tae's bed, shaking his shoulder. "Hey, hey, hey! Good morning! Rise and shine! Wakey wakey!" Jin said all in something that sounded vaguely like English.
Tae opened one eye. "No."
"Yes! C'mon, up and at 'em," Jin said, slipping back into Korean as he looped his arms underneath Tae's and tried to physically pull him up, but Tae resisted.
"I don't want to go to school and you can't make me. You're not my mom."
"Um, excuse me? I didn't raise you to be this way!"
"Hyungggg~" came a groan from the other side of the room, and Jin dropped Tae back on his bed and hurried over to the other occupied bed.
"Uh huh?" Jin asked, peering down at Jungkook, as only his face was visible.
"Can you pull me out of bed hyung?"
Jin nodded and dragged Jungkook out from his blankets, setting him in an upright position on top of his bed. Jungkook raised his arms, and Jin automatically pulled his shirt up and over his head before grabbing the shirt on top of Jungkook's dresser and slipping it through his arms and over his head.
"Thanks," Jungkook mumbled, only just opening his eyes and looking down to see which shirt Jin had selected. "Hey, this is Tae's shirt."
Tae instantly hopped out of bed, glaring and pointing at Jungkook. "Stop stealing my clothes!"
Jungkook stuck his tongue out. "Make me."
"Maybe you should grow a sense of fashion instead of ripping off mine!"
"Ouch, maybe I'll just buy a sense of fashion with all the money I have saved from not wasting it on a Gucci jacket."
"It was not a WASTE! It's a timeless piece of apparel!"

"I'm sorry, all I can hear is the sound of your entire bank account clinking together in your pocket. Is that...37 cents I hear?"
"KOOKIE I'M GOING TO KILL YOU!" Tae said, lunging for Jungkook, who just laughed and jumped on top of his bed.
"Try me, I dare you."
"Maybe I'll just hit your head against the living room table," Tae snapped, and Jungkook stopped jumping, glaring at Tae.
"Hey, man. Not cool. It was an accident."
"An accident, like you?"
"We were all conceived at the same time, stupid, which would make you an accident too."
"At least I didn't almost kill Jimin!"
"At least Jimin still replies to my texts!" Jungkook gloated, and Tae reached out to wrap his hands around Jungkook's throat when Jin finally stepped in, holding Tae back and giving Jungkook a look.
"You two need to stop fighting in the morning or-"
The door to their room swung open, revealing a figure with their arms crossed glaring at them.
"Is yelling really necessary at seven in the morning?"
Tae glared at Jungkook, who mouthed something back at him, and Tae once again tried to beat the shit out of Jungkook only to be restrained by Jin.
"They're sorry," Jin said, smacking the back of Tae's head.
Tae exhaled sharply before looking over. "Sorry, Lisa."
Jungkook gave her a sweet, innocent smile. "Yeah, he's really sorry, Lisa. He won't do it again."
"THAT'S IT KOOKIE!" Tae yelled before Lisa came over and flicked his head.
"Knock it off you two, you're going to wake your-"
"What's going on?" Namjoon asked, appearing in the doorway behind Lisa and rubbing his bleary eyes before putting a hand on Lisa's waist. "I thought I heard yelling." He blinked a few times before realizing his action and quickly to his hand back only to be met with four eye rolls.

"You can stop acting like you two aren't getting physical," Tae said bluntly, and Jungkook coughed.
"See?" Lisa said, turning to Namjoon. "Your kids are on board. Why can't you be on board? You're the only one who's trying to pretend that we aren't dating."
"D-dating? I don't know what-"
"We heard you guys the other night," Jin said, and Namjoon blushed heavily.
"W-what? I'm sor-"
"Wait, no, I was kidding," Jin said, looking horrified while Jungkook and Tae made gagging noises.
Namjoon just squinted before shaking his head and turning around. "I'm going back to sleep," he mumbled.
Originally, Namjoon had asked Lisa to start spending the nights at their place because Namjoon was still working the night shift and didn't like leaving the kids alone, but it had turned less into babysitting and more into an extra family member.
"Stop teasing your father and go eat breakfast," Lisa instructed, raising an eyebrow at the three of them. "And for goodness sake, stop yelling."
She left the room, and a few more threats were exchanged before the three went into the kitchen and started eating breakfast, each of them pulling out their cell phones.
Jin took a picture of his cereal and uploaded it into their group chat.

Jungkook rolled his eyes at Jin's picture and instead went to his other messages, pulling up his most recent text history.

Taehyung had their group chat muted because he knew it would just be Jin posting pointless stuff, but he scrolled through his other texts, his thumb hesitating over one of them. Finally, he opened it up, checking their most recent messages.

Tae sighed before creating a new message.
He sighed before putting his phone down and putting his breakfast dishes away. Then he brushed his teeth and got his stuff ready before getting in Lisa's car, and then she drove them to their high school.
On the way there, Tae couldn't help but check his phone again.

Alex was dying, and all the millions his father had left him meant nothing. The life he had been so eager to embrace, to do the memory of his father proud, would soon come to an end. Cancer. That ugly, terrible word. He had tried to be strong for his mother, even when the treatments left him violently ill, his body wracked with pain, his friends and even his girlfriend leaving him almost as fast as his once impressive physique wasted to nothing under the ravages of his illness. And just when he thought all hope was dead, a couple discrete referals placed by high-powered friends of his family got him an exclusive spot at the most sophisticated cryonic facility in the world. He didn't know if there was such a thing as an afterlife, but part of the package included uploading a copy of his cortex into a digital universe filled countless worlds to explore, where he could embrace whatever class or profession he could dream of. All of which sounded hell of a lot better than the miserable death waiting for him in the real world. In the end, he signed the paperwork, putting his pathetic flickering life in the hands of potential quacks and charlatans. After all, with death just days away, what did he have to lose? Even if he could never be successfully revived, he could at least adventure his heart out. (Authors Note: Books 1-6 are now live on Amazon and here is a link if you wanted to check it out!
