《Housemate [Taehyung ff]》Part 9

Y/N's POV

Getting my bag from the desk, my phone rang making me fish it out from the back pocket of my jeans.

Taehyung called.

Raising one eyebrow at the unexpected call, I answered it and waited for the male to speak up first.

"Hey, Y/N?" He greeted small, and it's clear that he called for something.

"Yeah?"

"Can you help me get some file from my room?" He asked as I stepped out of my own room, and I threw a glance to the closed door of his room.

"What file?"

"There's a blue file on my desk. My assignment that I need to submit by today is in there," he told and I took note of the info, before pausing my hand as I reached for the door knob of Taehyung's room.

"Do you have extra keys to your room?" Asking as my eyes looked around to see if there's a usual hiding spot for extra key, Taehyung didn't take a long time to answer it.

"No, I never locked it before" he spoke clear, and I huffed out a breath.

If I knew about this, I would've just barged through his door the night I forgot my keys after exam last time.

This guy took a very long time finding the extra keys that day I visited his home, that his mother had already came back from her groceries shopping.

Upon seeing me on the couch in her living room, she was more excited than surprised for whatever reason, and I was invited to eat lunch.

The rest of it was even more hectic when his father suddenly came home as we were preparing for food, and by the time lunch hour came, I was awkwardly seated surrounded by the Kims, eating their food.

Trying not to think more about the hectic event, I opened the door and looked for the desk, and found the blue file on the furniture as informed.

Without wasting my time or wandering my eyes to the other parts of the room, I walked straight up to the desk and took the item.

"Found it, where should I meet you?" Already on my way out and closing the door to his room behind me, I kept the file secured in my bag so that I won't be the one who forgot it later.

"Great. Uh, I'll meet you in front of the library, if that's okay with you?" He questioned, and my mind ran quick on the route to go to the library, whether it would be the same way to my class, or the opposite.

Checking the time on my phone, I estimated that I would have enough time to meet him and still get to my class on time.

"Yeah, it's fine" walking through the front door now, I locked the front door and turned the knob around a few times to make sure I did it right.

There was one time I thought I've locked the door, but then got a message from Namjoon that the door was ajar when he came home.

He was anxious to get into the house by himself that day, afraid that our house might have been broken into by thieves or something, until Seokjin came home too.

After checking, it turned out that it was my fault for not locking the door properly.

"Okay, I'll meet you in... thirty minutes?" The boy's voice was heard asking, and I looked at the time again.

"What about in fifteen? I'm on my way already,"

"Oh, of course. I'll be waiting. Thanks," he thanked without difficulty, and a smile made its way to my mouth.

What a kind spoken man.

"No worries," walking with larger strides, I always had this subconscious obligation to not make people wait for me.

Thus Taehyung, I just wanted to say that you're lucky to have a housemate like me.

Although, I'd never say this to his face ever, I guess.
