《Housemate [Taehyung ff]》Part 8

Y/N's POV
Although a bit taken aback when the door of the house owner's house was answered by the man who was none other than my housemate, Taehyung, I was nevertheless now seated in the middle of the living room.
"Here's your coffee," the guy came out from the kitchen carrying two mugs of heavenly smelled coffee, and I accepted the one he offered to me.
"Thanks, so..."
"I'm the son of this household," he told, and I blinked, processing the info for quite a few seconds.
"So, the house is your mother's?" Tilting my head referring to the house I was living in these days, I was reminded about the kind landlady.
Maybe there's a bit of resemblance of her with the man in front of me?
"Mine, actually" The boy informed more, and I widened my eyes a bit at the news.
"What? Then why rent it out?" A bit weirded since there was no way I would rent out the house I'm living in to strangers if I did have a house on my own, the question left my mouth so quickly, but Taehyung seemed to accept it kindly.
"I think my mom mentioned something about me getting extra pocket money, so I rent the empty rooms out. I only use one after all, the one next to yours," he said, not really touching his coffee although mine was almost half way finished, and I placed the mug on my lap, a bit comforted by the warmth from that item.
"You're the landlord," more to muttering the fact to myself while staring into the coffee, Taehyung chuckled a bit making me look up to meet his eyes.
He really do be a handsome fella even this early in the morning.
What an eye candy.

"That does make me sound old, no wonder Namjoon hyung told mom to help me manage the house, not for free of course," his smile stayed on his face after the chuckle, and even got bigger at my next question.
"Then Namjoon oppa is your friend?"
"Seokjin hyung too. They offered to rent since their house was a bit far away from the college, so I gave the rooms to them," I could see him still being nervous for whatever reason, but most probably because of me.
I've been told that I always looked angry when I didn't smile.
And that caused people to think that I'd eat them up if they talk to me first.
"I see. Then, I come to get extra keys for my room. I think I left it inside, but if not, I'm afraid that I have lost it. Dropped it somewhere on the way home, maybe" finishing the coffee and placed the mug on the table in front of me, Taehyung stared at me for a few more seconds, that made me want to ask why, but he beat me to it.
"You're not mad at me for keeping the fact that I'm the house owner from you?"
"Why should I?"
"Maybe you don't want to live there anymore because you might be cautious of me? I'm a man after all, I might threaten to kick you out if you refuse to sleep with me or something?"
"I, for sure, definitely did not think that far. But will you, though?" His imagination did ran wilder than I thought, but nah.
I don't think he's that kind of guy.
"Will I what?" He looked clueless about my question, staring at me with those pretty eyes, and it brought a subtle smile on my face.

"Do those bad things?" Elaborating the question a bit, Taehyung's eyes went wide before he quickly shook his head.
"No, of course I won't. I'd never,"
"Then, I'm fine. The house's good, I don't want to find any other as long as we're all happy living together with each other," my answer seemed to give him satisfaction and relief as I saw his tensed face relaxed slowly, and I smiled to his way.
"That's good," Taehyung saw my smile and smiled twice as sweeter, that I felt like I almost blushed, but quickly regained the control over myself by getting back to the original topic.
"Right. So, the keys?"
"Oh yeah- uh- where did mom keep it again?" He looked flustered but I was thankful for that reaction, because if he kept calm, I would have probably been found out that I was affected by his smile.
"You can take your time. I'm in no rush," saying it to him while he made his steps upstairs, I breathed out in relief when he disappeared.
Being with a handsome guy sure is nerve wrecking.
