《Housemate [Taehyung ff]》Part 7

Taehyung's POV

"Hello?" Answering the caller after reading the name on the screen, I continued munching the food in front of me happily due to how tasty it was.

Homemade foods are the best.

Especially the ones made by mom.

"Hey, are you not home last night?" Seokjin greeted short before ambushing with question straight away, and I wondered what's this about.

It's so early in the morning.

On a weekend too.

"No, I went back to the main house. Why?" Telling him my whereabout nevertheless, I heard him acknowledged it with a small hum before telling the reason he called.

"Y/N got locked out of her room. She probably left her keys inside," he told curt, and I paused my munch on the food, thinking of the girl we're talking about.

"Then, where did she sleep last night?"

"On the couch," he informed, and I frowned, feeling bad for not being there.

"Why didn't you wake her up? You know my room is never locked,"

"And disturb her sleep when she looked so tired? No, thanks. Anyways, bring the extra keys when you come home," the older's instruction was clear, and I was about to say okay, but Seokjin cut me off by continuing his sentence.

"Oh on second thought, no need. I think Y/N is probably on her way to auntie's house right now,"

"Hyung, why didn't you stop her? I'm still here, it's only about five minutes away by walking, I won't be able to run? Or hide my car or anything?"

"You think I'll tell her to go if I know you're there? But seriously, why didn't you just tell her that the house's yours?" The older male questioned making me asked that to myself as well, and I didn't know why too.

Why did I hide the fact from her again?

I don't recall.

"What if she doesn't want to live there because I'm the owner?" Spouting whatever came across my head, Seokjin clicked his tongue right away, and even I knew how ridiculous it sounded.

"Why would she? I don't think she'll let go of the house. She likes living there,"

"You think?"

"Just tell her," I could see Seokjin rolling his eyes, fed up with my groundless anxiety about Y/N leaving the house, and I gave in instantly.

"Fine, there's no one at home to greet her at the front door anyways,"

"Where's auntie?" The male asked, after noticing from my comment that I might be alone in the house right now.

"Gossiping with her friends while pretending to buy groceries as always," continued eating in rush, knowing that I'm expecting a guest coming in more or less five minutes, I still answered Seokjin's question.

"Uncle?"

"Fishing,"

"Oh yeah- damn, I would've joined if I'm not dead asleep until this morning," hearing his disappointed voice for not joining my father, I shook my head to myself as I carried the now empty plate to the sink.

"I still don't understand what's so good about fishing," not caring to wash the dirty plate and ran upstairs to change into a better t-shirt, I froze when I heard the doorbell.

"Whatever, I enjoy it. Did Y/N arrived?" Seokjin asked, probably getting the hint from how quiet I was being compared to all the ruffles and movements I made before, and I nodded before realizing he couldn't see me.

"I guess so. Bye, hyung" eyes fixed on the front door, I hung up the call without hearing Seokjin's reply, and made my way to it.
