Jungkook ran a hand through his hair, shuffling his strands around, as his combat boots tread along the hallway with long steps. A few girls turned to stare and whisper as usual, nudging their friends and sighing when Jungkook's eyes cast down to the sketchbooks tucked under his arm. Usually Jungkook never paid attention to whatever was spoken about him, but his ears caught tiny bits and pieces of the whispers as he walked past.
"I heard he's seeing someone now."
"Seeing someone? Jeon Jungkook? No way."
"That's right. I saw him with a boy the other day. He looked whipped."
"Don't make me laugh this is Jungkook we're talking about. He never mingles with anyone."
Jungkook smiled to himself. Sometimes it was amusing to overhear what others thought about him. They perceived everything so wrong all the damn time; it was entertaining to hear different stories about him each passing day. Suddenly a hand was in front of him and Jungkook stopped in his tracks, eyes glaring at the girl in front of him, face immediately etching a frown. Students who were nearby stopped talking and looked at the scene with wide eyes, anticipating some kind of drama to happen considering the girl who had just stopped Jeon Jungkook was the pettiest girl in college.
"Move, Minjoo."
The girl in front of him appeared to seem unaffected by the gravelly tone of his voice and instead put on the fakest smile she could muster.
"Why do you sound so annoyed?" Her voice was too shrilly, too high. It always got on Jungkook's nerves. "It's a beautiful day today." People watched with curious eyes as she came close enough to latch onto Jungkook's shirt. But the boy jerked her hand away instantly and she stepped back with a frown.

"I don't have time for this," he dodged her and was about to continue his walk to the canteen when she stepped in his way again, this time holding her hands out so he wouldn't be able to walk away. Minjoo took a step closer and Jungkook let out an annoyed sigh. "Don't come closer." Disregarding his warning Minjoo came forward and touched his face. Jungkook tensed under her touch. "Don't touch me take your hand off right now."
"Jungkookie-"
And Jungkook snapped. His name sounded so vile coming out of her mouth like that. The only person who could call him that was Jimin and no one else. He pushed her hand away from his face, eyes glaring into hers.
"I told you to stop fucking touching me."
A few of Minjoo's friends looked at each other warily before calling out for her to leave him and come. But Minjoo, being the stubborn girl she was, crossed her arms and glared back.
"Just answer one question and I won't bother you again," she said. "Is it true? That you're seeing someone?"
Jungkook didn't like it when people advanced onto him like Minjoo was doing. Now that he felt a strange connection towards Jimin, he didn't want any more advances like this coming his way. His eyes darted around he knew everyone was listening in, curious for an answer, an answer that would either leave him alone or put him in the midst of more people like Minjoo.
"Why are you taking so long to answer?" Minjoo panicked, almost tearing up. "Are you- Does that mean you are seeing someone?"
"Yes," Jungkook said exasperatedly. "Yes fucking yes. So can you leave me alone?"
Minjoo stuttered as she yelled after him while Jungkook kept walking, not turning to look back. He had told Minjoo numerous times before that he wasn't interested.

"B-But I've been trying to get your attention for so long! You were supposed to be mine! How can someone else take you away from me? Why would you not want me?"
Minjoo's friends dragged her in the other direction while the others stared at Jungkook's retreating back in shock. Jeon Jungkook seeing someone, most of them hadn't thought it'd be true. And now that it was none of them knew how to react.
"Imagine catching Jungkook's attention," one of the girls blew a whistle. "Now I'm so curious to know what that person's like."
Yoongi pulled Jungkook down to sit and pushed a tray of pasta in front of him, nudging him to eat. Yoongi and Hoseok had sensed Jungkook's aura the moment he had entered the canteen. The two had looked at each other with one glance and Yoongi seemed to know what was going through Jungkook's mind.
"What happened?"
Jungkook gulped down mouthfuls of pasta to avoid answering Hoseok's question while Yoongi placed a reassuring hand on his knee.
"What did Minjoo say now?"
Jungkook turned to Yoongi with wide eyes, dropping his fork onto the tray and blinking in shock. "How do you always know what happened hyung what the hell?" Yoongi smiled, shrugging as if this was normal. "She asked me if I was seeing someone, said she'd leave me alone if I answered. Apparently there are rumours that I am." Hoseok and Yoongi waited patiently as Jungkook swallowed another mouthful of pasta. "I told her it was true and that I am seeing someone."
Yoongi snickered silently as he pulled his hand away from Jungkook's knee while Hoseok smiled and passed the young boy a bottle of water.
"Good riddance kid," Yoongi said, clapping Jungkook on the back.
"It's funny," Hoseok said, resting his cheek on his palm and his elbow on the table. "You're whipped for that boy Jeon. Don't lie to me I've seen it. It's funny because I've never seen you get this way for anyone before. Cute."
Jungkook scoffed, speaking through the pasta in his mouth. "It's not cute?"
Hoseok smacked his head, telling him to swallow his food before speaking. Jungkook frowned as he looked down and apologized. Hoseok and Seokjin were so similar it was haunting.
"Only we know the intensity of how whipped he is," Yoongi smiled, looking over at Hoseok.
"You're one to talk," Jungkook muttered softly to Yoongi. "Calling me whipped."
