Jimin looked from Taehyung to Jungkook non-stop with a very worried gaze, the former was seated right beside him while the latter sat opposite. This situation was never supposed to occur, Taehyung glaring holes into Jungkook's face while the latter stared back with twice the intensity of the glares being shot at him.
"Jeon Jungkook," Taehyung finally acknowledged with a stiff nod. "Can't say it's a pleasure to meet you."
Jimin kicked Taehyung's foot under the table, pleading him with his eyes to not say anything rude. Jungkook smirked as he placed his hand behind his head and leaned into them in a relaxed manner.
"Who is he and why does he have a stick up his ass?" Jungkook questioned Jimin, purposely trying to rile Taehyung up. And it worked very well. Taehyung slammed his fists on the table and smiled fakely, causing many heads in the library to turn their way and glare.
"Watch it. I know a lot about you that Chim doesn't."
Jungkook furrowed his brows, a scowl replacing the smirk on his face. "Ah so you're one of those people," he muttered as if he were disgusted. "You know about me? Or you just heard and assumed things about me?"
"Both," Taehyung answered with a lot of hesitation, clearly lying through his teeth. His impression of Jungkook had been formed solely based on the things he had heard from others.
"I doubt that," Jungkook chuckled humourlessly, sending chills down his spine. "If you expect me to prove how I am to you, fuck off. I have nothing to prove to you. You're nothing to me."
Jimin let out a shaky breath when he watched Taehyung lean forward to grasp at Jungkook's shirt collar. The moment Taehyung's hand brushed his shirt however, Jungkook caught his wrist in a strong hold and pulled it away. Jimin's eyes took in the pain on Taehyung's face and the increasing intensity of darkness on Jungkook's and he hugged himself, speaking softly.

"Stop it."
The two boys didn't seem to hear him as his voice was too soft. Jungkook let go of Taehyung's hand and stood up. "Don't touch me. I don't pick fights without reasons but if you come at me I will destroy you."
Jimin shivered when Jungkook's eyes turned from Taehyung to him and he started walking over to Jimin's side.
"Jungkook-ah," Jimin spoke softly. "I'm sorry. I- Tae's really nice. He- He-"
Taehyung squeezed his eyes shut, knowing it was all his fault for having judged Jungkook based on other's opinions. But that didn't mean he wasn't pissed about the raven-haired boy almost snapping his wrist with that tight hold. He calmly stood up and turned Jungkook around by his shoulder, holding onto his shirt collar and laughing.
"You're such a dick," he spoke as he let go of Jungkook forcefully, sending the boy stumbling a little. "That's for almost snapping my wrist. Now we're even." To Jungkook's and Jimin's surprise, Taehyung flashed his box smile at Jungkook and stuffed his hands in the pockets of his jeans. "I'm Kim Taehyung, Chim's platonic soulmate. You hurt him in any way and it'll be my duty to cut you into pieces and feed you to street dogs."
Jungkook stared dumbfounded for a moment before he burst out laughing. "Oh fuck, I like you man. Aggressive."
Taehyung shrugged, slinging an arm across Jimin's shoulders and pulling the smaller boy to his side. "Well, Chim is a sweetheart and I'm overly protective of him. That's all."
Jungkook's eyes trailed across Taehyung's arm draped over Jimin, then it shifted to the pout on Jimin's lips and the slight hue of red on his cheeks. He knew Jimin had told him they were best friends, but he couldn't help but wonder if they were more. Taehyung noticed and smiled to himself, letting go of Jimin and ruffling the boy's hair.

"Chim can you check out the last two Harry Potter books for me?"
Jimin sighed, flicking Taehyung's arm as he turned to walk away. Taehyung then turned to Jungkook and cocked an eyebrow.
"Jealous are we?"
Jungkook gritted his teeth, shrugging it off. "Maybe? You seem to know a lot about me. Why don't you tell me?"
Taehyung sighed, rubbing his face. "Look, I'm sorry for jumping into conclusions about you and treating you like shit. But the stuff I have heard about you makes me scared. Chim is very sweet and sensitive. I can't bear watching him get himself hurt again."
Jungkook frowned. "Again?"
Taehyung ignored his question and continued. "I still don't trust you entirely. But if Chim looks so happy then fine. I will give you the chance that you deserve. If you fuck up I will fuck you up in ways you can't imagine." Taehyung and Jungkook both looked over at Jimin who was smiling as the librarian checked out the two books for him. "And stop brooding. Chim and I are nothing but best friends. I am already in a relationship." Taehyung rolled his eyes at Jungkook. The two boys turned again when a tall boy walked into the library and waved at Jimin before turning to Taehyung and flashing a grin. "And that's my boyfriend," Taehyung muttered to Jungkook as he walked over to the boy and gave him a slight peck on the cheek.
"That's Bogum hyung," Jimin said as he came to stand beside Jungkook, startling the boy. "He's really sweet. They look so good together right? They've been together for almost a year now and they're still as much in love as the first day. It's so sweet." Jimin looked down as he pulled at his sleeves. Then he looked up into Jungkook's eyes and flashed him a small faint smile. "I envy them."
Jungkook's heart was doing weird things as he stared down at Jimin. His arm automatically went to wrap itself around Jimin but he put it down at the last minute. Jimin looked so small and innocent.
"Jiminie?" Jungkook spoke so softly, so very softly as he felt chocolate brown eyes gaze into his. "Do you want to get a strawberry caramel smoothie? I know you usually make them for me at the café where you work but I know this really good place."
Jimin smiled, holding onto Jungkook's shirt sleeve and pulling him along as he exited the library.
"I am craving one right now."

Romance - plus Judgemental Powers? Completed
Blue was a red headed boy who desperately wanted a girlfriend. So he asked the class beauty to walk home with him. She very nicely refused him. So he asked another girl in the same class, one with an average rating in the social status ranking. She also refused him. So, still desperate, he thinks – “I’m probably at the bottom of the ranking for boys in this class, so how about I ask the girl who is also at the lowest ranking?” The girl’s name was Pink. She said yes. Gulp. “What do I do now?” was his reaction. Well, obviously, have a romance. And, along the way, they get one hell of a lot more than they bargained for. Like, for example, supernatural Judgemental Powers. How did they get those? And that was only the start. The two most insignificant students in their class become famous. Not just in their class or even in their school, but to the population at large. They end up breaking and making the top politicians and rulers of their country. But finally, of course, they get what they wanted. A committed relationship. This is an Esmeralda the Angel of Death story. It follows on from my previous novel “Maybe it would have been a good idea not to wish for a harem?”, however it is a totally separate story with only a minimal overlap in the characters. There is no need to read the first story to enjoy this one. Although you just might enjoy the first story also… This story has multiple characters and multiple Points of View. Every POV change is clearly marked with a new header. Inside each POV section, the POV character’s thoughts are in italics. This story has about 105,000 words (about 380 RoyalRoad pages). It is fully written and proof read (the poor man’s proof read using Word). It has 25 chapters, and will be published at the rate of roughly one chapter per day.
