《Love the little one OLD VERSION》Chapter nine

Angel's POV
My phone rang. Why though? Wait, who was even calling?
The twins stopped purring as soon as the silence was disrupted and they began growling lowly instead.
I took my hands from Xander's chest and straightened my back so that I wasn't leaning on Xavier.
I took the phone out of my pocket and looked at the screen.
'Mom'
Oh.
I answered the call and pressed the phone to my ear.
"Hi mom!"
Boys visibly relaxed and hugged me tightly to their chests, breathing onto my neck again so that I barely heard my mom's 'hi honey'.
She was about to say something but I quickly interrupted her.
"Wait mom, can you hold on for a second?"
"Yea, of course."
I pressed the phone to my chest so that I wouldn't speak into the phone.
"Guys, I need some room, you know. I'd really like to talk to my mom, so please?"
They sulkily looked at me, trying to convince me with their puppy-eyes so that they could snuggle me.
"No, your puppy-eyes won't work, I really need some space to talk, okay? You can cuddle me later."
"We can?"
Their eyes brightened visibly.
"Yes, you can, now let me speak to my mom."
They backed away and sat on the couch, still looking at me. I just rolled my eyes at them and raised the phone to my ear.
"Sorry mom, you were about to say something?"
"Oh it's okay, sweetie. I just wanted to ask how you were doing in New York, you know, as you're all alone in the big city and all."
"Yeah, all alone..."
The twins started to growl at that but I shot them a sharp look and they stopped, only narrowing their eyes at me.
"Is something wrong, honey?"
"No no, everything's alright mom. How are you guys doing?"

"Oh we're fine but your dad wants to talk to you."
"Oh okay, give him the phone then."
The twins growled louder than before, their nostrils flaring in anger.
I sent them a look that said 'be quiet!' but they didn't, instead they stood up and ran to me with inhuman speed and Xavier grabbed my phone from me.
He literally growled 'who is it' into it.
I tried to grab my phone but I couldn't because 1) he was way taller than me and 2) Xander was holding me in his arms.
I think my dad said something but it clearly only made Xavier angrier because he was gripping the phone very tightly, almost breaking it.
He just growled 'who is it' again.
Xavier was panting and shaking and I could tell that he was doing his hardest to hold his wolf back.
"Xavier." I called out to him and his gaze instantly snapped to me.
I tried to speak very calmly so that he could relax.
"Xavier, it's my dad. Please give me my phone so that I can talk to my dad."
The growling stopped.
Xavier slowly came towards me and very slowly gave me the phone.
"Thank you, Xavier."
I held the phone to my ear.
"Hey dad."
I winced as he started yelling about some idiots messing with his little girl but then he said something that almost made me have a heart attack.
"No no no, dad, no. You and mom don't have to come here, I'm fine. I promise I'm completely fine."
"Who was that, he sounded more animal than human, please Angel, don't tell me you with some stranger who has animalistic issues."
I snorted at that.
The twins looked at me quizzically.
"No dad. I'm definitely not with some stranger who has animalistic issues."
Both boys growled a little at that.

"Wait, was that two growls I just heard?? That's it, Angel. Me and mom are coming there and taking you home before you start having those animalistic urges to growl."
I guess that the twins heard that because they growled louder than I have ever heard them growl. I was in one's embrace and the phone was snapped away from me faster than I could blink.
And once again it Xavier who took the phone.
This time he yelled and growled into the phone at the same time, with a voice so powerful that I bowed my head.
"SHE IS OURS!! NO ONE WILL TAKE HER FROM US, EVER!!"
With all the loud noises Katherine and Thomas ran into the room. They started to come towards me and Xander but he growled, giving them a warning.
They came to a stop and Katherine asked me carefully: "Angel, what happened?"
"It's my dad on the phone, he heard them growling and said that he and mom will come here and take me home before I pick up the habit of growling and the twins went crazy at that."
They too began growling at that but not as loud as the twins.
I looked at them concern.
"What is it?"
"No one will take the pack's Luna," they growled at the same time.
"It's okay, I already told him that they don't need to come."
"You need to calm them down, now."
"How do I do that? Xavier is too far to reach and Xander won't let me move an inch."
"Call out to Xavier and he will come after some time. Just let them hold you and it will calm them down. We will leave the room and tell everyone else to stay out, so the twins won't lash out at anyone. They're both on the edge, especially when they haven't marked you but we can talk about that later, just calm them down and assure them that you're not going anywhere."
I nodded in return and they left the room swiftly.
Xander was licking and sniffing my neck, much calmer already.
Xavier stood in the middle of the room, the phone still in his hand. The call wasn't ended yet and he was shaking really badly.
"Xavier."
I called out to him multiple times, keeping my voice soft.
Finally he raised his head and looked at me.
"Come here, Xavier." My voice still calm and soothing, I gave him a warm smile.
He came hurriedly, wrapping his arms around me as best as he could with Xander's arms still around me and started to sniff and nuzzle my neck. I just closed my eyes and waited for them to calm down.
We stood there for quite some time.
Eventually the twins calmed down and just held me tightly.
I took the phone from Xavier's hand in case he would get mad again. He let me, his face still in my neck.
I saw that the call was still on.
"Dad."
"Oh sweetie pie, I thought-"
"It's okay dad, they're just very protective of me."
"So, there ARE more than just one of them."
I chuckled.
"Are you sure you're going to be fine?"
"Yes, I'm sure, they're taking care of me very well. I made some friends and I'm living with them. Just letting you know in case you want to send a postcard or something."
"WHAT?? You've been there for two days and you wanna say that you made some friends in that time and now LIVE WITH THEM??"
"It's okay dad, I know nothing will happen to me when I'm with them. You and mom don't need to worry, I'll call again in a few days, okay?"
I heard a heavy sigh on the other end.
"Okay, stay safe, Angel. Love you, and mom loves you too."
"I love you guys too, bye."
And with that I ended the call.
