I wipe my tears in the car before driving out to my parents.

I bang on the door until my mom opens it for me.

"Mom," my mouth quivers then I jump into her arms.

"Rylee, what happened baby?" She ask but I couldn't answer her. I just hold onto my mom tightly.

After begin taken inside and crying like a little baby, I feel much better. I told her Dawson bought a girl to our house. It may be the first time or multiple times, I don't know. She let me lay on the couch and called Dawson's parents. I listen to the conversation as I repeatedly wipe my eyes.

"Dawson and her parents will come over for a talk. It could've been a misunderstanding," my mom caress my head.

Thirty minutes later, Dawson and her parents came over. They sit down and I refuse to look at Dawson.

"Mrs. Garland, we weren't completely honest with you about something," my father in law announce. I look at him.

"What are you saying?" My mom ask in a cold serious tone.

"Dawson has a childhood friend. Her parents wants their daughter, Alissa, to marry Dawson, but we decided that it shouldn't go that way. So when Alissa went abroad, we reached out to you."

"So you're telling me that you have used us, and now Dawson is inflicting pain to my precious daughter. Rylee told me everything and I do not appreciate what Dawson has done."

"I'm sorry Mrs. Garland. I've been selfish in the beginning and I take all responsibility," Dawson said. "I just wish Rylee to return back."

"I will not allow Rylee to go back with you until you have settle the issue," my mom answer. "And where is your ring?" Her question made me look at Dawson's hand. Indeed there is no ring.

"Alissa took it," Dawson answer. "Yesterday she came by at my office and... Took it."

"How can she take it if it's on your finger?" Mom is just like a detective right now.

"I ask myself that too," Dawson answer.

"Mrs. Garland, we will make sure that everything is settle so no trouble will come to the kids. Again, we apologize," my mother in law seems to end things because she doesn't want to see Dawson get question. To them, this is like a business talk. We are the dissatisfied customers and they are promising better treatment. I hope so.

I get up and leave the living room to upstairs. I hear footsteps behind me and already know that she's following.

"Rylee," Dawson speak my name. I don't want to hear it. I quickly reach my room, shut the door, and lock it. Dawson sigh when she can't get it open. "Rylee I'm sorry," she apologized.

"Don't you think it's too late?" I ask. I rest my back against the door then slowly slide down to sit on the floor.

"... I'll leave you alone. I'll figure everything out as soon as possible."

"I don't want to hear it."

"You have to believe me."

"Sadly, I don't."

She sigh then I hear her mom asking for her to come down. They're leaving.

"Come back when you're ready, or just call me... Take care," she said then I hear her heading back downstairs.

I open the door and head downstairs. Outside the window, I see Dawson get inside the SUV then it takes off.

"She was blackmailing me. What can I do?" I ask my parents on the way back.

"I've never seen you so weak before Dawson," my mom comment. Rylee's fault.

I ignore them and look out the window.

Two weeks had passed. Life keeps on going without Rylee here. My ring has been returned, but not my love. Love... Love have done this to me. Wait, love? I love Rylee? I do.

I finally sold my company for 70 billion dollars to Atheso Inc.. Now paper works are just being finalize until I officially hand over the company to them. I think, after this I'm going back to work at the family's company.

The goals that I wanted to achieve came really easy and was executed quickly. Skyrocketing the company's value, it is why Atheso Inc. bought it. They see that the company is growing, so good for them for realizing its potential.

For Alissa, she got taken by back her parents. They threaten to disown her, and she won't have anywhere else to go. I'm married so I'm not an option anymore. Sucks that our lives are controlled by our parents.

"Dawson, has Rylee come back yet?" My mom ask.

"No. I still haven't heard anything back. I also tried to visit her, but her mom wouldn't allow me," I inform my mom.

"She'll come back, just give her time."

"Yeah," my mom ends the call and I sigh while crossing my arms.

After taking a first bite of dinner, I immediately feel sick. I jump out of my chair and run to the bathroom. My stomach threw up more than what I ate.

"Rylee, are you sick?" I hear my mom ask behind me. I flush the toilet and nod.

"I'm fine. The dinner just made me feel sick. I think I'll skip it, mom."

"No Rylee. You're pregnant," the words bring chills to me.

"Probably not, mom," I deny the fact.

"Then we'll test it out," she left then came back with a pregnancy test stick. I take it and close the door.

The results is undeniable. I am pregnant. My mom and dad are really happy about this. They wanted to call and tell but I stop them.

"I don't want Dawson to know," I confess.

"Why not? You two are going to be parents," my mom ask.

"Dawson still have other priorities. I don't want the news to distract her."

"You and the child in you are Dawson's priority now... I will tell her parents but tell them not to tell Dawson."

"Thank you, mom."
