"And you're sure you want to sacrifice your wish for him? You know that no one has ever given their wish for a living being. Also, you worked so long after that" he paused. "But...But I never could have done it without him. Besides, he gave his life for me..." I looked at Phil. "You still have a time to think about it. Do what makes you happy..." He gave me a warm smile. "I have to go back ." he said before getting up. "Ok thanks for letting me talk to you. "I said. "No problem" then he left and I was alone again
Actually, I already knew what I would choose. I had thought a lot and I had come to the decision to sacrifice my wish for him. Nobody knew exactly what would happen. So I could only hope that it worked. But what if not? Thinking about it made me dizzy. There were so many thoughts, hopes and wishes and everything could break in the next moment. What if I lost him? No, that shouldn't happen...
I was standing in a large meadow. It was now night and the stars were shining brightly in the sky. I sat on the grass in my arms holding Quackity.
When it was time I carefully laid Quackity on the lawn. I stood and looked towards the moon. Now it was time. It had to work... I got ink and pen out of my pocket. I carefully dipped the pen in the ink. Then I took out the book. I opened it and started writing my wish when I was done looking at it again. Then I looked at Quackity. I resolutely picked up the pen again and wrote my signature under my wish and that was it. I looked at the moon again. Everything around me began to glow and a feeling of warmth enveloped me. Then everything went black...When I woke up I was still lying on the grass next to me was Quackity. Didn't it work out? I sat up and looked at him. It must have worked. A tear rolled down my face. Then a second. At some point I couldn't see anymore because of the tears. I was frustrated. How could I have let it come to this? What am I supposed to do without him now?

"Wilbur?" said a soft voice next to me. It was probably Niki. I had told her what I was planning to do. I remained silent. I just didn't want to talk to anyone. Then I felt someone hug me. I returned the hug. After an eternity in which neither of us had spoken, I had calmed down a bit. "Thank you Niki" I said thank you and broke the hug. All I got in response was a giggle. "I'm not Niki" that voice! I snapped my eyes open to see Quackity. "You're alive" I exclaimed happily and hugged him again. "Yes..." he just said and leaned against me. We looked up at the stars. The sky was clear. There was a comfortable silence between us. "I love you," Quackity said. I was surprised to hear it from him but it made me happy..."Me too...
and I will never let you go"

Tower of Babel: Speedrunner
Launch day. That was what they called it. The day when over four million people vanished in an instant from the island of Manhattan. The day earthquakes ravaged the east coast. The day a one hundred and one kilometer tall tower rose from the wreckage of the now empty city. The day every screen, newspaper, and smart phone displayed a single message from an unknown source: The Great Emperor has issued his challenge. From the ruins of the Old World rise the Tower. Its doors will soon open, and the great game will begin. A hundred floors and a hundred challenges await the worthy. And to the victor? A Wish of Unlimited Power. Cayden Caros yearned to play that game. His only problem? The Terms and Conditions. A strict set of rules that, among other things, prevented anyone under the age of sixteen from entering the tower. Forced to wait for over two years, Cayden did the only thing he could do to pass the time. He researched, he practiced and he prepared. It would take a lot to catch up to players with such an enormous head start. Lucky for him, he was a special type of gamer. A SpeedRunner So.... It has been a hot minute. I don't like talking about my personal life, but suffice to say I had some fairly bad times for the last couple of years and have only just recently pulled myself back to good health, physically and mentally. I have a very supportive partner, and am put together enough that I want to get back to doing what I love. Writing nerd fiction that I am too embarassed to try to explain when people inevitably ask what my books are about. Still beats when I used to write erotica. Story updates for book 3 should be on a daily schedule, baring unforseen circumstances. The majority of chapters from books one and two have been pulled down to keep with amazon's KU rules. Book one is found here. Book two is found here. If you like the story, please comment or favorite. Each comment goes a long way towards pushing visibility for the story, which means more people get to see it and I feel slightly more validated as a writer. I have a discord now where you can ask me things and I can be like 'no. no. I'm not answering that. no."

Body Modifier: Energy Required
Aria ate a fish. [Energy: 2] Finished, he ate another fish. [Energy: 2] ... [Energy: 3] Without realizing it, he had finished 5 fishes. He felt a little bloat, he lay down with a full stomach, occasionally burped. Even though he didn't want to be a big lump of meatball, he still had to keep eating. At least until he found another way to accumulate energy. After all, if he didn't take advantage of his advantages, wasn't that stupid? His mind then drifted imagining which one he would use the energy for. Should he use it on his eyes, so it shot a beam of laser, like a certain bespectacled mutant? Should he use it on his bones, so it regenerated infinitely, like a certain character from an anime? Should he use it on his brain, so he became a genius, like a scientist with a bald head? Or should he use it on his vital organ, so that he became the manliest person in the world? While he was imagining things, suddenly his ears felt pinched. "Ouch!" "Didn't mom already say you can't play with fire, you brat?!" There he realized, knowing that no matter what he chose, he was still a child in front of his mother.
