You sat across from Caitlin at Jitters, waiting for her to tell you why she called you there.
"So?" You asked, looking at Caitlin who was pulling at a strand of her hair. She cleared her throat.
"Ummm...Well, I have something to tell you." She said awkwardly.
You nodded and broke out a smile. "You made that clear Cait." Caitlin smiled and then looked down at her fingers before looking back up at you.
"I'm-I'm Killer Frost...."
Your eyes widened, but only for a second, finally shifting back to normal, while your mouth arched into a smile. "Ooh, so my girlfriend's a bad-ass?" You teased.
Caitlin let out a sigh. "See? I knew you wouldn't understand, you just think it's a joke." She mumbled.
You straightened your smile and reached out for Caitlin's hand. "Cait, look at me...Come on..." Caitlin glanced up at you.
"I'm here for you and I always will be, but you can't expect me not to gush over the fact that my girlfriend is Killer-freaking-Frost." You said reassuringly. "Okay?"
"Yeah..." Caitlin nodded, trying to hide her smile.
You both stood up and taking her hand in yours began to walk out of Jitters. When you guys were outside, you leaned over to her.
"You know even though you've lost your mind Cait, you'll still always be my hero."
Caitlin smirked. "Was that supposed to be a compliment?"
You nodded. "I thought it was obvious..."

His task is made even harder by the fact that several governments have been infiltrated by agents of the enemy, who are using their influence to sow seeds of war and chaos. The Brigadier is not mankind's only hope, though. In Helberion, a small group of scientists, struggling to make a major scientific breakthrough, is being hampered by assassination and sabotage. Is this the work of the enemy of mankind? 8 171Greys II - Ghosts
There he stood, dark eyes, dark hair, beautiful in the most devastating of ways. It scared me how little he had changed, his hair was longer and black, his frame thinner, like he hadn't eaten since I last saw him. His eyes were different, lacking something they had always held before, lacking anything really, and yet he was the same. He looked weak, but I knew he wasn't. "Hi, angel."His voice was just as dead as his eyes. It sent a shiver up my spine. That was the reason I felt sick, that was the reason he seemed different. He was dead, and as much as I wanted to hate him, I was sad he was empty, sad he wasn't the same man anymore."Hello, Gabriel."My voice came out softer than I would have liked, the words burning my tongue. But it didn't matter, I got the desired effect even if the volume wasn't there. He flinched, his eyes widening, his eyebrows twitching up and together, his jaw setting for just a moment. But then it was gone and he looked away, death settling back in his eyes, in the lines of his face.» ✦ «#2 in Angel Romance#3 in Demonology#11 in Thriller#Mature, 18+ for all the reasons. Not a YA novel (again).**Due to disturbing themes, violence, depression, language and literally everything else, this is not for the kids. Ghosts is darker than Intentions. But you need to live in the dark to appreciate the light...or at least, the lighter grays 🖤🖤
