"Jamieeee" Sam sung. He was standing outside of the locker rooms in the gym at the compound. He had been ready to go for a while and was waiting on Bucky.

"I'm coming just give me a minute!" Bucky yelled back.

A few seconds later he walked out of the locker room. He slung his arm around Sam's shoulder and they walked to the sparring mat.

"We haven't done this in a while, you sure you can take me old man?" Sam taunted as they got into their stances on the mat.

Bucky chuckled, "Take you? C'mon Sammy, we both know who's doing the taking." Bucky winked and smiled when Sam's eyes went wide.

Bucky took this as an opportunity to throw the first punch. Sam regained his composure quickly and blocked it. "Once you let me fuck you Jamie, you'll realize how much of a bottom you really are." Sam said, throwing a punch of his own.

"Sure Sammy, whatever you say." Bucky replied.

They went back and forth, punching, blocking, kicking, blocking, and so on. Eventually Bucky was able to take Sam down.

Bucky was using his arms to hold himself up over Sam's body. They were both completely out of breath. Bucky collapsed onto Sam, not able to hold himself up any longer.

"Get off'a me old man! You're crushing me!" Sam huffed trying to push Bucky off. Bucky just grinned and leaned down to kiss Sam on the cheek. Sam kept trying to get Bucky off but he wouldn't budge. Bucky continued to kiss all over Sam's face. His cheeks, his forehead, his temples, everywhere but his lips. Sam couldn't hold back a smile while he continued to struggle underneath Bucky. Sam moved his hands to Bucky's hips and tried to push him off there. It didn't work, but he did discover that the White Wolf is extremely ticklish.

Sam began to tickle Bucky relentlessly. Bucky was giggling and squealing like a young child as Sam tossed him off and got on top of him. Sam continued to tickle the boy but stopped when he heard a "Stop it! Stop it!" mixed in with Bucky's giggling. Bucky smiled and his laughter died down.

"You ready to head back up?" Sam asked as he stood up. Bucky shook his head and continued to lay on the mat. "C'mon Bucky let's go watch a movie or something I'm bored!" Sam stood over Bucky while he waited for a response.

"I don't wanna move" Bucky said, crossing his arms over his chest. Sam rolled his eyes and laughed.

"God you're such a bratty bottom. Do I need to drag you out of here?" Sam mocked.

Bucky scoffed as if he was offended at that remark. "I guess you do because I'm not moving." Bucky decided to play along.

To Bucky's surprise, Sam grabbed Bucky by the ankles and actually started dragging him across the mat. Bucky started laughing as he watched Sam struggle slightly. Though his laughter stopped when he was hit with memories.

Time stood still as the images flowed through his brain.

"уберите его отсюда. (Take him away)" a man in a suit with a Hydra emblem spat.

" Нет! Пожалуйста, не бери его! Bucky! (No! Please don't take him! Bucky!)" The little girl yelled. She was being held back by another man in a suit as she tried to escape their grip to run after him.

Two men dragged Bucky away by his arms. He was fighting for consciousness at this point and his vision was blurry. They had sedated him after they caught him sneaking away to the girls cell. That was the last time he ever saw her.

He remembered how he would go her cell to talk to her and nurse her back to health as best he could with whatever he could grab on his way. He remembered how her clothes were tattered up, her hair was full of knots, and how she was always covered in bruises. "She's only six." He remembers thinking.

He'd use his fingers to brush out the knots in her hair while she leaned against his chest and stared at the wall. She always seemed one second away from death, yet she kept living. "She's strong," Bucky would think.

These meetings went on for a week before Bucky was put back in cryo sleep. Each time they met, the guards never noticed a thing. "How lucky we are," Bucky thought every time he made it there safely.

A few months later, they took him out of cryo again. They had wiped his memory but as soon as he saw the hallway that led to her cell, he remembered.

He met up with her as often as possible to tend to her wounds. They didn't talk much, but one day, Bucky was laying on the ground looking around the room while the child slept curled up next to him. He looked underneath the girls small cot and saw that she had written "Marie" over and over again on the wall. He decided he would ask her about it when she woke up.

"Кто такая Marie? (Who's Marie?)" Bucky asked softly. The girl pointed to herself. " ты Marie? (You're Marie?)" He asked. She nodded. "я Bucky. (I'm Bucky)" He said remembering how he had done the same to the wall in his room.

They sat in silence for a little while longer before Bucky came up with an idea. "Хочешь сыграть в игру Marie? (Do you want to play a game Marie?)"

She gave a questioning look.

"Это игра на запоминание. Я спрошу вас, как вас зовут, затем я спрошу вас, как меня зовут, и вы попытаетесь вспомнить, хорошо? (It's a remembering game. I'll ask you what your name is, then I'll ask you what my name is and you'll try to remember okay?)" She nodded.

"как тебя зовут? (What's your name?)" He asked.

"Marie." She whispered softly.

Bucky smiled gently. "а как меня зовут? (And what's my name?)"

"Bucky." She smiled back.

They played that game every time they met. Even adding a few facts about themselves that they could remember every once in a while

Bucky blinked as he tried to process the information. "SAM!" Bucky yelled as he tried to sit up, but couldn't because Sam still had his feet.

Sam turned back quickly to see tears streaming down Bucky's face that definitely weren't there a second ago.

He dropped Bucky's feet and went to sit in front of Bucky. "Hey, hey, what's going on?" Sam said quietly. He rubbed his hands along Bucky's legs before pulling him into his arms and holding him close.

Sam continued to rub Bucky's back while he sobbed into Sam's shoulder. Bucky held onto Sam as though he could disappear at any moment in time. "The girl," Bucky hiccuped. "I remembered." He choked out another sob before continuing. "Sam- Sam-" Bucky was struggling to control his breathing.

"Shh" Sam whispered, reaching one hand up to run his fingers through Bucky's hair. Sam gently rocked him back and forth. Eventually Bucky couldn't cry anymore and his breathing regulated. "Do you want to tell me now or later?" Sam asked quietly.

Bucky didn't respond. Sam looked down at him, "Jamie are you asleep?" He whispered.

No response. Sam gently nudged Bucky awake, "Let's go to bed okay?"

Bucky nodded against Sam's chest. Sam pulled Bucky up and walked with his arms still around him.

They made it to Sam's room and Bucky collapsed onto the bed. Sam covered Bucky with the blankets and joined him under the covers. They didn't bother to change out of their work out clothes. Bucky curled up against Sam and they both quickly drifted off to sleep.
