《Save The Netherworld, Iruma-Kun!! || A WTDSIK Fanfiction》Chapter 6: New friends

Iruma was back in second grade the next day. Balam had only told him to 'Have a great day, make sure noone knows!' before flying off twords the main school. He knew the man was still troubled about yesterday, he hadn't been in bed when Iruma fell asleep and when Iruma woke up Balam had been sitting on the couch, staring at the floor-while the breakfast burned on the stove.
"Ah, Iruma! Welcome back!" Miss Makin messes up his hair with a smile, letting him sit in his seat. He blinked as he saw the pink haired boy-whatwashisname- Asmodeus was sitting on his right, and the green haired girl-whatwashername- Clara was sitting on his left. "Asmodeus has joined our class, and since you three misfits got into a fight yesterday, I decided to put you three together."
"It's nice to see you again, Iruma-Kun." Asmodeus says as he sits beside him. "I didn't know that Balam-Sama was your father." Iruma nods. "Thats pretty cool."
"My mom thinks he's awesome!" Clara giggles, drumming her hands on the table.
"Quiet down now everyone!" Iruma looks back twords the teacher, setting his pencil case down on the desk. "Today we'll be working on spells. Iruma, your allowed to sit out if you'd like." Theres multiple giggles around the classroom, and Iruma looks down at his desk.
"First, we'll be talking about bloodline magic. Klaus, how about you go first!" Iruma stares down at his hands as the other students talk. He was human- he didn't have a bloodline ability thingie. He couldn't just tell them that though, his new friends would eat him and Balam was a flight away.
He starts messing with the ring on his finger again, it dully glowing in the harsh fake sunlight, feeling like he was at a disadvantage. What would he say...? What was his dad's bloodline ability...? He bit his lip as Clara stood up. It was her turn now?

"My bloodline ability is Summon! I can summon anything I want through my pockets, see?" She pulls paper and pencils out of her pocket, before pulling out a bag of candy, sitting back down.
"Thats an intresting ability Clara!" Makin smiles at her. "Now, Iruma?" Iruma nervously stands up, hearing whispers around the classroom.
"He probably doesnt even have one."
"I'll be suprised if he even says anything, I bet he doesnt have one." He shook slightly.
"U-u-hm, w-well..." What would he say?? What would he say...?
"Don't be scared and listen to me. Your bloodline ability is Magical evasion."
"My bloodline ability is magical evasion." He repeats. Who was talking with him?
"Oh? What does that mean?"
"Repeat after me. Basically, I can avoid anything that gets thrown at me or if someone tries to hit me." Iruma repeats it, and the voice sighs. "I'm Alikred, the ah, ring. It's nice to meet you. You can think your thoughts, I'll be able to hear them if you direct them twords me. Don't make them have any more bait on you."
"Wow Iruma! Just what I expected from Shichiro's kid." Makin grins at him. "Thats a wonderful bloodline ability." Iruma sits down, nodding a little.
"Your the ring my-... she gave me?" He halfheartedly listens to Asmodeus talking about his Bloodline ability.
"Yup. I was wondering when we'd come back to the demon world. Let's join in on todays lesson. Now that I'm awake, I'd love to have some fun."
-
Balam wasn't usually a quiet man. Balam was loud sometimes, and very messy, but Kalego always knew he'd hear his friend tromping down the hall in order to meet up with him before lunch. Kalego sighs as he stares at his work, hearing his door open.
"Kalego. Can we talk?" Kalego glanced up, looking at Opera and Sullivan. "Please?"

"Opera-Senpai." Kalego looks at them. "Chair demon. What do you two need?"
"It's about Balam." Opera leans against one of the desk while Sullivan stands infront of his desk. "And about yesterday." Kalego puts his pen down.
"I did yell at them after he left but unfortunately I haven't seen him today."
"This is also about the child." Kalego glanced down at his paper. "I didn't know he had a child."
"Adoption." Kalego says, leaning against his right hand. "He adopted the boy from an orphanage. That's what he told me." Kalego knew that was a lie. Balam had been unconsciously pruning the fluff around his waist while talking. Even though Balam could tell when someone was lying, it was pretty easy to tell when he was lying as well. Kalego knew if Balam had a tail it'd wag or droop when he lied.
"Adoption? Suprised he'd want a child." Sullivan hums. "We need to do something for Balam. After yesterday, he's been..."
"Icky, quiet, and snappy." Opera continues. "Kalego, your closer to him than I am." Kalego glanced away, a light blush dotting his cheeks. Shit, he really was closer to Balam than anyone else huh? "What does he like?"
"Quiet spaces, teaching, flowers, those books he makes- it depends." Kalego says. "But if you want to cheer him up, I suggest getting him something vaugly human like. He loves that stuff." His hand touched the present he had for Balam in his desk- he knew the man would love it- and sighed.
"Balam is one of our best teachers and to see him like this is infuriating." Sullivan grumbles. "I care about all my teachers here, and to see one that I carefully picked to be called a freak?" He slammed his fist on the table, and Kalego could see it crack. "Balam is a good demon, why can't anyone else see that?!"
"They think he's scary. Because of the rumors noone wants to be near him." Opera replies. "I have an idea though."
"What's your plan?"
"The rumors surrounding Balam suck. But if we change it.. Balam likes tea, right?"
"All types, yes."
"If you bring Balam tea he won't use you in his experiments. It doesn't get rid of the rumor but in the end Balam gets tea. It's not a permanent solution but it's a temporary one."
"Your right Opera! I'll have to find one of the students to start spreading the new rumor. Maybe we can even turn this more in our favour..."
"Other than that. Kalego. What else do you know about the child?"
"Huh? Oh, you mean Iruma?" Opera nods. "Not much. I know he has Mana Deficiency Disease so he doesn't really have great power or anything. The boy can't even fly yet."
"MDD... I thought it was rare in children." Kalego watches Opera's tail flick back and forth, it always did that when he was questioning.
"It usually goes away by the time their 5, actually. It just seems like Iruma is sicker than normal. Anyways you shouldn't be asking me about this, I just found out about it before the fight yesterday. Ask Balam." Kalego stood up, grabbing his bag."I have classes, so I have to go." He sees Opera frown, and Sullivan sighs.
"Okay okay." Sullivan says, turning around to leave. "Kalego. Can I ask of you to find out more about the boy? I'd ask Balam, but I don't want to force start his brooding period." Kalego shivers. Balam's brooding periods were harsh. Even though his friend was nice and easy going now he wasn't during his brooding.
"Sure." Sullivan nods, before starting to leave the room.
"Remember, don't start his brooding period."
"I got it I got it dont worry."

Sod's Law (Dropped)
This fiction has been dropped, you're more than welcome to read it anyway (there is sort of an ending). But you have been warned... Sod's law is a more extreme version of Murphy's law. While Murphy's law says that anything that can go wrong, will go wrong (eventually), Sod's law requires that it always goes wrong with the worst possible outcome. For example, concepts such as "bad fortune will be tailored to the individual" and "good fortune will occur in spite of the individual's actions" are sometimes given as examples of Sod's law in action. This would broaden Sod's law to a general sense of being "mocked by fate". In these aspects it is similar to some definitions of irony, particularly the irony of fate. - Definitions of Sod's Law on Wikipedia. The protagonist, as many before them, and many who followed, thought they were just entering a VRMMORPG (Virtual Reality Massively Multiplayer Online Role-Playing-Game). Unbeknownst to them however, was a short paragraph in the Terms & Conditions, that, upon agreement, would actually transport them to a fantasy world, loosely based on the game they thought they were entering. - Something anyone could be forgiven for, no-one reads them after all. In this new world, they discover that people are born with “Traits”, a System recognised, ability, skill, or talent, that they are born with. Sod's Law was not a trait they, or anyone else for that matter, would want. Pure madness follows. Yup, this is about a character transferred to a fantasy game-world with the worst luck imaginable. This is my first fiction so I apologise for any grammar and spelling mistakes that may be made. Hopefully it is readable, and if so please tell me! But if it's not, also tell me, but in a constructive way if at all possible? Due to the nature of the “Trait” the story will be dark in places, with plenty of gore and profanity, hence the tags. There may also be scenes of a sexual nature, but nothing full on – sorry guys but you'll have to go elsewhere for that.
