《Welcome To Demon School! Ryūko-chan & Iruma-kun [Volume I]》Chapter XVIII [What I Want More Than Anything]

The Battler Party Eve was at the brink of the Party Day. Most of the students of the demon school Babyls at the central plaza have assembled due to the current crisis of the barriers surrounding the whole school and the Broadcast Battler was announcing something. "Alright. The Battler Party Eve is about to draw to a close." Announced the Battler President, "The Party Eve is going to end... But once the bell sounds, the Party Day officially begins!" The students cheered in excitement for the Party Day to commence.
Meanwhile, Student Council President: Azazel Ameri was wondering where did two certain students went off to. "Where are you, Ryūko and Iruma?" Though Ameri as her head turned side to side, looking for them.
Suzuki Ryūko and Iruma, twin sister and brother freshmen from the human world (though Ryūko is somehow half-demon), were standing in front of a specific brick wall to find their upperclassman of the Magical Apparatus Battler, Amy Kiriwo. "Kiriwo-senpai should be behind this wall." Said Iruma Ryūko nodded, but felt a slightly uneasy feeling in her chest, due to her love interest of Kiriwo. She pressed onto a specific brick on the wall that revealed the door to Kiriwo's secret room.
Iruma was about to get through the door, but Ryūko stopped him from doing so. "Onē-chan? Why did you stop me?" Asked Iruma. "We need to be careful, brother." Said Ryūko, "There's a possiblity of another one of Amy-senpai's barriers in front of this door." Right she was: the heterochromiatic girl extended her hand out and showed Iruma that there was an invisible wall before the doorway to the room. "Huh? There's a barrier here, too?" Wondered Iruma. "I told you. Please be more cautious." Adviced his elder twin sister before knocking on the barrier, "Amy-senpai! Senpai! This is Suzuki Ryūko and Iruma! Please let us in, if you are there!" In a second, the barrier disappeared and Ryūko opened the door for both her and Iruma to enter, but Iruma sort of fell onto the floor since he was also knocking on the barrier. "Are you okay?" Asked Ryūko. "I-I'm fine, Onē-chan. Thanks." Said Iruma.
"Hello there. Welcome, Ryūko-chan and Iruma-kun."
The person who greeted the twins was none other than Kiriwo. But unlike previous times, his right bangs were stuck back onto his head and his white cape seemed to have only the left side of it down. "Kiriwo-senpai? Why are you... Where are your glasses?" Asked Iruma, "What are you..." "Well, it's a party, so I thought I'd go all out." Said Kiriwo scratching the back of his head. Ryūko, on the other hand (or in her other cases), couldn't help but inwardly gush over such appearance transformation he did to himself, and blushed slightly. "Amy-senpai... This new look of yours is... really hot." Thought Ryūko as her face was in red, "Even I couldn't resist how handsome you really seem to appear without your glasses and your right bangs." "Why, thanks, Ryūko-chan." Said Kiriwo. Ryūko gasped at what came out and her blush darkened. "Did I say it out loud?" Asked Ryūko to Iruma. "Yeah, you sort of did." Said Iruma nervously. The half-demon's scarlet blush darkened to a brilliant crimson blood red as she said her compliments out loud by accident.
"All these barriers around the school. That is your magic, correct?" Asked Ryūko regaining her composition. At the corner of the eyes of her and Iruma, there was a bright light behind some of the singed curtains. "Indeed, it was." Answered Kiriwo, "I'm glad to see everyone's enjoyin' them, though that wasn't my intention. They just called it a suprise event, making it more enjoyable than I'd planned." He went behind the curtains as the Suzuki teens followed him. "You're also the one who took the fireworks, right?" Asked Iruma. "Correct." Replied Kiriwo. In front of the three stood Kiriwo's apparatus, Gabuko-san with their fireworks shell glowing brightly on top of the apparatus. "Gabuko-san... Then... What are you planning to do with that shell?" Asked Iruma. Kiriwo turned his head around with a smile and said: "I'm going to make it explode so I can destroy the school. That's why Gabuko-san exists." "Why... Why would choose such disasterous fate?" Asked Ryūko with a sense of worry and unclear distress in her voice. "Hmm... Let's see... I guess I don't mind tellin' you two about when I was born." Started Kiriwo as he walked to them.

Kiriwo's family, the Amy clan, is also known as the and is one of the most feared and powerful families in the Netherworld. His family is also known for their abundance of magical power. Top tier.
In this next scene, a younger Kiriwo is being evaluated for his magical power capacity. But things didn't look good for everyone of this family. "This ain't good." Said one of the Amy demons, "To think a child with so little magical power was born into our family..." Comments of despair poured forth of the other demons of the Amy clan from "How awful." and "He'll shame our family." Even insults that said he was unbelievable and pathetic. Kiriwo felt a tight sensation on his chest as he heard such terrible things thrown onto him. He saw his mother amongst the others and went up to her, only to be pushed away by her; "Take him to the Garden." Ordered his mother. To think his own parent would do such a cruel thing to her son, Kiriwo; what awful fate that came up to him.
As his mother ordered, Kiriwo was taken to a place called the ; a correctional elementary school where they closely monitored and nutured young demons. He faced a "learning" environment so harsh because of his power capacity bringing shame to his family name and was even bullied for it. "" Scolded his teacher who whipped him, "" Despite other young demons also sent here for correction, Kiriwo was being bullied by others.
"Is he really from a prestigious family?"
"How embarrassing."
Everyone at his home and in the Garden lost faith in the young Amy Kiriwo. But amongst the others, there was a girl who'd talk with him. Kiriwo was sitting under a tree, when this girl tapped his shoulder and greeted: "Good morning, Kiriwo-kun!" She didn't have the best grades, either. She and Kiriwo spent a lot of time together.
Yumeko Culus
Kiriwo created a small barrier in front of him, that which impressed the girl. "Wow, that's amazing, Kiriwo-kun!" Complimented his friend. "Well... it breaks if I let my guard down, though." Said Kiriwo. "Come on! You should be more confident!" Said the girl, "There are plenty if good things about you!" "Like what?" Asked Kiriwo. The girl then pointed at his black horns and said: "The shape of your horns is so pretty! And you're sorta bland." "Uh, is that a compliment?" Asked Kiriwo. "Oh, I know! I'll let you touch my good luck charm!" Exclaimed the girl taking off a golden earring with a red cord, from her right ear, "This earring is a memento from my late grandma. If you touch it, it'll cheer you up." "It's so pretty!" Exclaimed Kiriwo. "Right? It's my treasure." Said the girl. Kiriwo asked if it was really okay to touch her earring and he got her approval.
But then, one day... Three male students decided to bully Kiriwo and his friend. Two were restraining them and the last of the group got ahold of the girl's earring. "Wow, talk about cheap." Said the one holding the earring. "What are you doing?!" Questioned the girl, "Give it back!" "Shut up. What's a weakling like you going to do about it?" Insulted that same boy, "You guys are at the bottom of the class, bozo and boob." "We're not weaklings!" Objected the female student, "You're the ones who are weak for lacking any class!" The leading bully clicked his tongue in hearing this and gave an evil smirk as he went to a cliff saying: "I have to disagree. The ones who can't do anything are the Well, go on. " He then threw the earring off the cliff, where ther was a river below. Kiriwo was able to pull away from his restraints and created a barrier under the falling accessory before it could reach the rushing river below, successfully catching it. But then, just for a moment... he let his guard down, resulting the barrier to crack and shatter in to invisible shards of glass, and the earring was swallowed by the waters that run.

Kiriwo turned to his friend, only to find the only reaming expression on her face... of . She left the Garden, but Kiriwo stayed behind.
Back To The Present
Kiriwo's tragic backstory ended in silence. Iruma was left without a word to say, whereas Ryūko felt an incredible beating from hearing how his family pushed him away because of their reputation and a single tear fell from the corner of her blood red eye. "In the Netherworld, where's it's survival for the fittest, seeing how defeated she looked by how unfair things were finally made me realise..." Continued Kiriwo before her clutched his hand on his uniform, "Her expression just won't leave my head. "
Suzuki Ryūko: "Amy-senpai!"
Suzuki Iruma: "Senpai!"
"" For some reason, Kiriwo felt a blissful feeling in his chest, "" "Pardon?" Asked Ryūko before realising something, "His reaction... from seeing others in despair... He said he would kill to see it again... What is this?" "It was so strange! Every time someone would look at me with such hopelessness... My chest would tense up just a little." Said Kiriwo with his blissful expression still dusted upon his face, "It was all so simple! Because of her, I finally realised what that feelin' was. Back then, when I saw her defeated face, I... It felt like my heart skipped at beat! At that moment, the new me was born!" "Amy-senpai is... perverted by despair?! Okay, that seems a bit weird, but that is some fetish I've never heard of!" Thought Ryūko. She was thinking of how her crush was this perverted, that she didn't noticed what happened next. Kiriwo suddenly pushed the half-demon down to the floor, tightly gripping onto her shoulders as her eyes shut from impact until she noticed that he straddled her. Iruma wanted to help, but he feared that he would somehow make matters worse, so he didn't have any choice but to watch. Ryūko lifted her eyelids and noticed how sexually awkward the position is, making her a blushing mess, considering the fact that she was pinned down by her love interest. "Do you understand now? The despair of others is my reason for living!" Said Kiriwo.
The Suzuki twins knew for sure, that this is the , Ryūko is a , Iruma is a . And... "" Complimented Kiriwo with a sadistic bliss crossed on his face, "" Ryūko's face entirely crimson with the upperclassman's shadow on hef as she blushed. Suddenly, a strange feeling in her body was giving off an erotic sensation. "What am I feeling? This ecstacy of his is undescribeable! My heart's beating so fast, being unable to mive with Amy-senpai on top of me!" Thought Ryūko lustfully, "Why am I feeling like this?! Why do I feel so lustful?! I... I can't... I can't retaliate this lust in my body! I think... I'm going to..."
""
Well, that was unexpecting. The lust given her the unusual sensation made her react as if she reached her limit. Her sweet, delicate moan and pantings bewildered Iruma and Kiriwo for a second, until the uplerclassman snapped out of his state and let go of the girl's shoulders. "Whoopsie. Let's continue with our conversation, shall we?" Asked Kiriwo as he walked up to the window. Ryūko lifted her upperbody up as she still panted from her erotic thoughts with her face still painted with crimson. Iruma kneeled next to her and asked: "Are you hurt, Onē-chan?" "I can assure you that I'm not." Said Ryūko, "Also, don't ask about why I reacted like that. You're mind is too innocent to know about it." She looked at her skirt and felt something completely new to her, a sense of perversity that her other side might have been maturing quicker than who she is now. "So you want to know why I want to destroy the school... The reason comes from a past Battler Party." Continued Kiriwo, "That was when I met my bro at the Magical Apparatus Battler."
Kiriwo's Backstory Part II
At this part of his history, young Kiriwo entered the Magical Apparatus Battler room, where the Battler members didn't waste anytime to acost him. "Hey, what the hell do you want, you stupid little brat?" Acosted one of them. Disregarding the harshness in their voices, Kiriwo beamed and said: "So this is Babyls's notorious Magical Apparatus Battler!" He then started to look around with excitement, "I came here after I heard about you guys. The school's open because of the Battler Party, so I figured I'd sneak in." Then, a barbed sword was held next to Kiriwo's face by someone behind him. "Shut up." Demanded the wolf-like demon, "Who the hell do you think you-" Kiriwo then affectionately rubbed his cheek against the blade, catching its wielder off guard. "How many demons did you cut up with this?" Asked Kiriwo while he's still at it, "What'd you do with them afterward? Throw them away? Use them for something? "
Okay, that was a little too much for a child to say and weirded the other out. A yawn can be heard from the back of the curtains. Baal stepped through them and his eyes were glued onto Kiriwo. "Who the hell is this annoying little brat?" Questioned Baal. "I came here looking for comrades!" Explained Kiriwo before touching the left side of his head where his other horn was missing, "I gave her one of my horns... This girl lost something really important because of me, so I gave her one of my horns to make up for it, because she said they were pretty. She looked so absolutely disgusted. I know it's a bit crazy to get so excited about someone looking so defeated. I'm a bit messed up, but..." "." Interfered Baal, "What's so crazy about that? That's what you call going back to basics." "Going back to basics?" Asked Kiriwo. "That's how all demons used to be." Answered Baal. "All of them?" Asked the child again. "You have a stronger sense of that now then others do. But..." Baal then kicked the crate he was sitting on, "" He then opened the curtains of the window, "Sit back and listen for a sec. You don't hear any screams or ferocious roars in the Netherworld anymore. It's so warm and pleasent, it makes me want to puke. That's why I and the rest of my comrades in the Magical Apparatus Battler are trying to return the Netherworld to its original state of chaos. That's my ambition."
Couldn't they just solve this ranking con more peacefully? Definately not. Baal took out a bottle and a wine glass. "This is something the demons in the Magical Apparatus Battler drink, so they can share the common goal we all have." Said Baal as he poured the drink into the glass before passing it to Kiriwo, "Want to help me achieve my goal, brat? If you follow me, I'll make sure you see the "
End Of Kiriwo's Backstory
Back To The Present
"From then on, I'd see Bro every now and then, and he'd give me a bunch of things, as well as knowledge." Said Kiriwo, "And then, after some time passed since I enrolled in the demon school Babyls, Bro said..."
"I got so excited." Continued Kiriwo, "Because these stairs called ranks exist to begin with, everyone listens to those above them. But if we turn those stairs into cliffs... That would truly be chaos! So we decided to destroy the very symbol of ranks, . Using the fireworks will be flashy, not to mention beautiful." He walked down to Ryūko and Iruma, still seated on tbe floor, "Thanks to Gabuko-dan, I'm sure it'll be a spectacular explosion. You truly made something amazing, Ryūko-chan and Iruma-kun. It must've be fate that brought us together! Now I can see my ambition come true."
""
Amy Kiriwo:
"The students are enjoyin' this and can't wait to see what's gonna happen next. All those faces beamin' with excitement and anticipation... They'll all turn into despair soon. And then all the parents who show up to the Party will see the horrible state their children are in and scream in agony and rage!"
""
"They'll all fall into despair! I could've stopped you from comin' here with my barriers, but I let you come. Do you know why that is? It's because I want to see the fireworks with you.
""
"Azz-kun, Dame Lavande, and Clara-chan... You get to witness the most important people in your life shatter right before you! I want to stuff you two in a box made of barriers and watch you fall into despair."
""
Kiriwo then squatted down with his intense stare directed at them. Then leaning closer to the Suzuki twins saying: "It's okay. You can hate me all you want! You can even hit me if you want! So, please! Show me... Your faces... "

Dear Inspector, Please accept this letter as my formal resignation from being a Player. Hey! Laugh all you want, but I had to try. With no rules down here, who's to say that I can't resign? Come to think of it, I've never asked to be transported to this fantasy land either and would like you to return me home, thank you very much. I don't want supernatural powers, I don't want to complete quests after quests, and I don't want to be your test subject anymore. What? I'm not whining, you're whining. Stop making excuses and let me leave already. Thank you for your understanding, and I hope you'll find a better replacement after I'm gone for good. Sincerely,Randel, the Mad Painter What to expect from Synergy: --> Some GameLit elements are presented subversively. If you want the protagonist to “play the game” properly, this might not be the story for you.--> No filler chapters; the story's structure is already plotted out. It's going to have six story arcs.--> Character development happens slowly, over many chapters. Don't expect a perfect protagonist right off the bat.--> Some romance, but it will never be the main focus.--> Humor and dark elements in equal measure, but not to the extent that I’d label this story as “Comedy” or “Grimdark”. ... and lots and lots of Author's Notes.
