Outside the First-years Tower, all the senior Battlers were waiting for the green light to go and recruit first-year students. This such recruitment is also know as the "". A teacher with golden-brown hair was speaking to the senior Battlers through a megaphone to explain the Hunt Treaty.

"While recruiting first-year Battlers, please be mindful of other Battlers. Make sure you give each other room, and be kind and mindful of others." Said the teacher before he flung the megaphone into the air, "Now then... That's it for the niceties. " And with that, the upperclass didn't waste any more time and hurried into the First-years Tower. Alikely driven by madness, the seniors all ran through the hallways in search of freshman students. Speaking of which, a wolf-like demon towered over Ryūko and Iruma asking with a roar: ""

Luckily, Asmodeus and Lavande fended the canine demon off. That senior didn't have another option but to leave. "How dare you?" Questioned Asmodeus and Lavande. "Thanks, Azz-kun and Lavande-chan!" Said Iruma. "Thank you, Asmodeus-san and Lavande." Said Ryūko, still with her additional eyes and exoskeletal carapaces on. "But of course, upperclassmen or not, we will not let anyone be rude to you, Ryūko and Iruma-sama." Said Asmodeus. "Hey, look." Said one of the upperclassmen pointing at Asmodeus and Lavande, "No doubt about it. That's Asmodeus and Félin!" "Yeah, the tops of the first-years!" Said another upperclassman, "" The fire demon ignited a small flame on his hand and blew it on a flyer held by one of the seniors, which then burned up. Both superior first-years spun around to form a barrier of fire and ring poisonous black rose thorns around their group.

Finally, the upperclassmen left their group alone. The said team walked throught the corridors as Asmodeus and Félin explain this Rookie Hunt. "The Rookie Hunt is only allowed 66 minutes on the day the ban of Battler Trial periods is lifted after lunch break." Explained Asmodeus. "Some and certain upperclassmen are in particular, quit forceful in terms of hiring each year." Continued Lavande, "Worry not of our group's safety. We are sure that the wall of flames and cage of thorns will deter any rambling." Well, the flame and thorn barrier is still surrounding them, Lavande touched her thorns without pain as Clara took out a skewer with marshmallows on it to roast over the fire. "Marshmallow, toot, toot, fire!" Chanted Clara before eating her snack. Asmodeus told her to stop that as Ryūko stops with her spider features' appearances and looked around with Iruma.

They saw two upperclassmen try to persuade a junior. "Hey, we're the Flight Battler." Said a demon with his wings out. "Come check us out." Requested another member of the Flight Battler. "Sorry, but I'm really weak..." Said the first-year. Then, an abnormally huge bear-like demon lifted him up suggesting: "If you lack in muscle, you just need to build some!" Then two other buffed demon greeted with a dance of some kind. "" Greeted the dancing members of the Combat Battler. This ended up being a tug-of-war between the Flight Battler and Combat Battler, using the poor junior student as a rope. Every Battler has a weird or uniques method of recruiting first-year students. Some used hypnotisation, some using manipulation. For unexplainable and rather odd reasons, others first years were cooked iside a large cauldron, chased around, and even some unfortunate freshmen got tied up and abducted. "Is it just me or that guy who tied up the students got me interested in tying up insects?" Thought Ryūko for some odd reason, "Overall, this Rookie Hunt thing is a f****** pandemonium, if only I knew when this day occured so I can skip this moment." "This is sorta... The Rookie Hunt is pretty intense." Said Iruma anxiously. "Fear not." Assured Asmodeus and Lavande, "The Battler that takes command of students at times like this is... ."

With that said, Ameri and her fellow Student Council members took their approach. Plus just by the clicking of her heels, the upperclassmen were frozen in fear seeing her. "The Student Council? Wait, wasn't their president looking for me and Onē-chan?" Thought Iruma. Ryūko sighed, she already knew that Ameri was the Student Council President. Iruma still doesn't know, but his sister would just let him figure it out. "" Shouted one of their members. "" Said another.

"Crap! She'll have her eyes on use if we do something bad."

"Huh... President Ameri?" Asked Iruma in his head. A student was hoping that Ameri will talk to him, another said that the Student Council might be patrolling and not recruiting. Ameri is not only a dignified student, but she's impressive. Just with the words, "", she made a pushy upperclassman run away in fear. "They managed to calm things down in an instant." Said Asmodeus, "The Student Council President is truly dignified. You're close with her, aren't you, Ryūko and Iruma-sama." "" Thought Iruma with disbelief before he cried out: "" Ameri heard Iruma and apporached him and his sister. Asmodeus and Lavande cancel the flame and thorn barrier so that Ameri can properly take her approach. "President/Lady Azazel, thank you for all of your hard work." Said Asmodeus and Lavande with a bow.

Many thought Ameri approached because of Asmodeus and Lavande, but in reality, it's because of Ryūko and Iruma. She held out two flyer to the twins with a slight blush on her cheeks as she cleared her throat. "Th-The Student Council is a Battler, as well." Said Ameri waving the flyers up and down, "We are looking for new recruits! Y-Y-You did an excellent job on your last promotion exam. I have determined that you have room to grow. I-It's not like I want to meet more often to do our readings!" "I am honored." Said Ryūko taking the flyers. "Y-You may cone to observe at any time." Said Ameri before she walked away in stiff manner, "I managed to invite them!" "To be personally invited by the Student Council President..." Read Ryūko on the flyer aloud. "" Praised Asmodeus and Lavande. "Man, that freaked me out!" Thought Iruma, "I can't keep up with any of this! Onē-chan and I will message her later."

The school bell rang, marking the end of the Rookie Hunt and signalling everyone to return to their classes. Now, Ryūko, Iruma and their group are all back in their classroom with their other classmates. ". The Battlers just conducted their Rookie Hunt, but... For those who were not invited or those who were invited but did not join, the next three days will be a Battler trial period. All of you should go to determine which Battler you'd like to join." Instructed Kalego while Lead was on his game and Picero was sleeping. Ryūko was irritated by their insolent behaviors and told her group to cover their ears before she yelled at her misbehaving classmates: "" Well, that certainly snapped everyone out of their daydreams, games and sleepings. "Thank you for speaking out to those not listening for me, Ryūko." Said Kalego, "At least, only some of you are dignified enough. Do not take this lightly, you fools." "Sure." Replied most of the class. "'Kay, 'kay! You got it, Eggie-sensei!" Said Clara. "" Hissed Kalego, annoyed with that nickname. "Sir, yes, Sir!" Verbally saluted Ryūko. Asmodeus and Lavande just nodded as they smiled. "An important decision... I wonder which Battler Onē-chan and I should join..." Thought Iruma. "Ryūko-sama, Iruma-sama, let us observe them together after this." Suggested Asmodeus. "Yeah, let's go!" Exclaimed Clara.

And so, after their lesson, they went off to the Battler Tower to observe the many variants of Battlers. Asmodeus and Lavande were still highly coveted by Battlers. One upperclassman wanted to give them a couple of flyers, but Asmodues burned the flyers before he could say their names. Clara was really hyped and exclaimed with excitement: ", it's like a festival! Right, Ryūko and Iruma-chi?" "Yeah!" Replied Iruma as he held a large stack of flyers. Ryūko refused to take any flyer that someone would give her, because she knew Iruma would take more than a bunch. " Woah, the flyers just talked!" Said Clara. "I just keep getting more and more... and I can't decline." Said Iruma. As we have mentioned many times, Iruma seriously can't decline any request. Ryūko took half of the stack, just enough to study some of them. She wrapped the said amount of flyers in her webbings which are still emitted by her wrists' spinnerrets.

The succubus noticed Ryūko and Lavande, then winked at them. "How about it, my dear honor student, Ryūko-chan, and top of the female freshmen, Lavande-chan~?" Asked Raim, "Would you like to observe my Battler and maybe join it later~? If you do, I can positively assure you both, that you'll be experts of seduction~!" Asmodeus got a look of shock, Lavande and Ryūko are obviosly good enough, but don't seem interested in being succubi in whatever. "Thank you of your offer, Lady Raim." "You just want money!" Commented Asmodeus. "Quite intermediate subject, but that is an interesting one." Said Lavande. "I want to join the !" Said Camui. "That doesn't even exist!" Said Asmodeus, "You fools need to take this more seriously! Just like Kalego said, this is vital to moving up the ranks! Do you even understand that?! "

Lead turned around to face Ryūko and Iruma. "What about you, Ryūko-chan and Iruma-kun?" Asked Lead, "I mean, with the amount of magic you two have, I guess you have your picks." "Ryūko-chan and Iruma-kun are the centers of attention all the time." Added Jazz. "Oh, right." Thought Ryūko and Iruma as they looked down at their platinum and golden rings, "These are actually Grandfather's/Grandpa's powers, but to everyone else, they look like our own." Iruma scratched the back of his head as he said: "But Onē-chan and I don't have anything in mind yet." Ryūko just hung around from the ceiling, holding onto a rope of her threads behind Lead and Jazz. "" With that word, Ryūko scared the heck out of the boys. "" Whined the scared off boys. Ryūko only giggled as she ate off her silk thread, which is wrapped as a small piece of candy. Iruma just laughed at how intimidating his sister can be sometimes.

Suddenly, their platinum and golden rings glowed up. Ryūko and Iruma held their hands up unconditionally and their rings dragged them off with incredible speed to... who knows where? "" Thought the Suzuki twins. Meanwhile, Eiko and her dragon friend were figuring our which Battler to participate in. The green dragon girl was having a hard time to choose between two Battlers according to the flyers she held. "I wonder which Battler should I join." Rambled the dragon, "What are you choosing, Eiko?" "I'm going to choose whatever Iruma-san chooses." Said Eiko with sparkling eyes, "I wonder which one Iruma-san's going to join." Speaking of, Ryūko and her brother whizzed past her. "" Yelled Iruma and Ryūko before they bumped into a big backpack, or rather... someone who was carrying that backpack.

That someone was a demon with turquoise hair, parted down the middle, eyes of the same hue where the left eye has a beauty mark underneath, a pair of black asymmetrical horns, a white cape and a pair of large, circular glasses. He was in a miserable state, but not that they strangled that stranger, but for spooking him out. The twins had their hands over his throat for an odd reason. "" Apologised all three of them at once. The twins retracted their hands and were about to apologise again for the mess, but they noticed that the one in front of them had blood dripped out from his mouth. "" Asked Ryūko and Iruma. It sort of looked as if that guy's soul left his body.

Despite what had occured, the unknown student managed to lift up his upper body. "Wow, you spooked me." Said the student, "I thought I was a goner." "" Exclaimed Ryūko. "Ah, yeah. I'm a bit weak, you see." Said the caped demon, "Not to worry. I cough up blood all the ti-" Just like he said, there he went coughing up blood. "Sir, that seems more like a reason to worry." Said Ryūko with concern. Iruma nodded in agreement. The boy pointed at the twins' rings and said: "Oh, hey! That's the and the Ring of Pride! Which means they must've reacted to my collar." He then revealed his collar, "This is made of the same metal." "The same..." Iruma looked at his ring and the student's collar, "What do you mean..."

Two other students were about to pass by, but started to complain about the items scattered around the floor. "Hey, this crap's in the way!" Complained one of them. "Hurry up and move all this!" Demanded the other. "Can't you just move around, you idiots?!" Questioned Ryūko. "Oh, look at this mess. Sorry about that." Apologised the student. "No, Sir. This is our fault!" Said Ryūko, "My brother and I should be the ones to apologise." One of the complainers realised that the turquoise-haired boy is an upperclassman, they went in a panic until they saw his ranking badge at Bet (2). "Wait, he's just a Bet (2)?" Asked the other student, "Don't scare me like that!" He kicked a cube at the boy's face and walked off with his friend calling him a loser.

Ryūko's ears perked up and she revealed her exoskeletal arms and claws, along with her multiple eyes. She slinged a strand of her silk from her right wrist's spinnerret and slinged herself in front of the bullies. "You think you're so clever, huh? Well, you need to think twice about your actions and words because life is like you talking to your mirror's reflection." Threathened Ryūko with a dark and horrific voice as a stepped forward, scaring the students, "You want me to come closer? Oh, is that too close for comfort? So, no matter the ranking of the demon, no matter how much less power others have, " The students were shivering in fear and ran off screaming: "" "Oh, I'm not done yet, boys." Said Ryūko as she jumped into their path and making them back up against the wall, "I might be a Bet (2), but I'm no ordinary demon. One of the many who are seen as monsterous, one that was originated to be prideful of her weaving and disregarded a goddess to believe in, one who was cursed as a spider as punishment by that same goddess for her arrogence." Ryūko lifted her bangs up, revealing how scary her eyes are, she gripped on the bullies' faces and got herself up close and personal, "Oh my, if you were to call someone to your aid, do you think I'll really have you the chance to do that? And do you think you stand a chance agaisnt me?" The sight of her was terrifying. Her eyes were expectant and she grew fangs in her teeth. Almost of a horror movie scene.
