Naberius Kalego, a prestigieous teacher of Babyls, is preparing for the familiar summoning event at school. "Today, we will begin the ritual for new students to summon their familiars." He said in front of his mirror, "You'd better be prepared, Ryūko and Iruma." With those last words, his mirror somehow breaks.

"You're such a good boy and girl, Ryūko and Iruma. You always do what we say." Said the said kids' mother petting their heads. Iruma is happy to be praised, Ryūko in her former personality, just smiled and made a cat purr. Then, their father started to ask them favors from carrying things in boxes to cleaning the bathroom. With everything done, their parents praised them again. "You're such hood children, Ryūko and Iruma." Praised their father patting their heads. "In that case... " Sullivan appears menacingly behind their parents, definately Iruma would say "Sure" once more, but Ryūko silently gave a blank expression while stand next to and supporting him. However... this time they both screamed out: ""

In the end, it was all a dream. Ryūko and Iruma were having the same dream, which showed how much they suffered in the human world because of their idiotic parents. "My precious little grandchildren Ryūko-chan and Iruma-kun! Your grandpa's here!" And there's the sudden wake-up call from Sullivan in front of both kids' rooms. Ryūko sweatdrops from the loud call being a little hyped up. She, Iruma and Sullivan headed to the dining room to start up the day with breakfast. "Did you two sleep well?" Asked Sullivan. "Yes." Answered Iruma. "Objection, we both had a nightmare that took our heads back to being with our so-called parents." Objected Ryūko with a sassy attitude in her voice. "Eh? Ryūko? You had the same dream?" Asked Iruma. Ryūko rolled her red and blue eyes as she nods. "No need to hold back. Eat as much as you'd like." Said Sullivan, "You're still growing children." Ryūko looks over at her side of the table wondering if the food in the Netherworld is safe to eat.

It takes a little courage to try the cooking in the Netherworld, but it's really good. Iruma took his first bite and told Ryūko that it's good to take in, making her cast her doubts to the walls. After all, Ryūko trusts Iruma wholeheartedly, plus beggars can't be choosers. To think that they can actually take the time to enjoy a meal... this might be their first time ever. Opera then serves both of the twins tea. "Here is some Hell Gray tea." Said Opera. "Oh, thank you very much." Said Iruma as he picks his cup up. "Thank you, Opera." Said Ryūko with a small smile making eye contact. Iruma takes a sip of his tea as Ryūko does the same."Today is your first day of classes." Said their grandfather. Taken by suprise, Iruma gets an immediate spit take whereas Ryūko nearly chokes on her tea, but manages to keep it to herself, being a cold girl with a cutthroat behaviour, but still knowing her manners.

Indeed, Ryūko and Iruma now attend the demon school Babyls as Sullivan's grandchildren. "I-I don't want to go. Because if they find out we're human, the demons might eat us!" Thought a scared Iruma. Ryūko knows what's up and decides to open up for him. "Pardon me, Grandfather?" Addressed Ryūko, "May I dicuss something with you? It's about school." "Oh, before that." Added Sullivan turning to Opera. The butler snaps his fingers, revealing a pile of gifts. "Lookie, lookie! I splurged a bit to celebrate you starting school!" Said Sullivan. "What? This is all for me and Iruma?" Asked Ryūko. "But you already gave us so much yesterday." Added Iruma. "Oh that to celebrate me getting my first grandchildren! This is to celebrate you two starting school!" Clarified their grandfather. "" Exclaimed Ryūko and Iruma. Sullivan then shows them two handkerchiefs with blue and black with red detailed embroidery on them. " Opera and I even added some embroidery!" Exclaimed Sullivan, "What do you think?" "I-It's lovely." Complimented the twins. "I'm not used to doing embroidery, so it was quite exhausting, but it was so much fun!" Said Sullivan showing his left hand with bandages. Ryūko and Iruma didn't notice his hands earlier, it must have been a lot of work.

As Ryūko was very touched by this, she heats up covering her teary eyes with her hands. "Ryūko-sama. Is everything alright?" Asked Opera stroking her back. "I-I... never felt like this before... I j-just... d-don't know what to say!" Cried Ryūko. Not experiencing treatments like this in the human world, Ryūko can be a little emotional when something touches her heart strongly. "It's alright, Ryūko-sama." Hushed Opera to Ryūko using a handkerchief to wipe her tears away while comforting her. She eventually calmed down as Sullivan brings out two alarm clocks that look a little like birds from the gift pile. "And this! Here are your hellraiser clocks so you can get up in the morning without being late." Said Sullivan while the clocks make disturbing sounds, which unnerved Iruma but not doing anything to Ryūko as she doesn't mind scary noises. "So, what did you want to talk about?" Asked Sullivan remembering the question from earlier.

"Well... We... About school."

"What about school?"

"W-Well... we..."

"Yes?"

While Iruma is a complete pushover, Ryūko didn't have the courage to tell their grandfather that the two didn't want to go to school after such nice things he has done for Ryūko and Iruma. Outside the mansion, Sullivan and Opera were seeing them on their way. "Okay, we're off." Said Ryūko after thanking Opera for comforting her earlier. She and Iruma were walking on the way to school as Sullivan waved at them. "Have a good day!" Said Sullivan. "Please be careful." Said Opera. And then... Sullivan takes out a camera. "Okay, now we follow them." Said Sullivan to Opera, "I have to get they're first walk to school on video." However, his intentions were thwarted by Opera, who is taking him away by the furry collar back to the mansion. "You'll be working from home today." Said the cat demon. "Hey, wait! Opera!"

Without motivation, Ryūko and Iruma walk to Babyls and arrive shortly near the school entrance. Iruma gets startled by the flock of demons on the way to school singing the school song. Not long after a few words, Ryūko decides to sing out, which suprised Iruma. "R- Ryūko! Why are you singing that song?!" Asked Iruma terrified. "What? I like how it sounds." Said Ryūko in a monotone voice before she continues to sing. They were then walking by the same four demons from yesterday at the entrance, supposingly from the student council. "I need to do everything I can not to be noticed." Said Iruma to himself. Ryūko has obvious objections that it will never come true. "Iruma, this may be a school, but since we made to school paper yesterday, there will always be something and someway that we'll be noticed." Stated Ryūko with her sharp heterochromatic eyes having her coldness in them.

Speaking of which, Asmodeus and Félin greeted them good morning with warm smiles on their faces, eager to see them. "Good morning, Ryūko and Iruma-sama." Greeted Asmodeus and Félin, "We've been waiting for you for six hours and six minutes." "Good... morning, Asmodeus-kun and Félin-chan." Greeted Iruma as Ryūko greeted the demons with a bow, "Wait, six hours?!" "Indeed. Quietly, within the pitch black of the witching hour." Said the two demons dropping to theirs knees like yesterday. "Well, Asmodeus-san, Fèlin-san, we appreciate you both waiting for us." Said Ryūko, "However, as you require rest from hectic days as well as we do, it is no required for you to wait for us in that extended period of time." "Is that so?" Asked Asmodeus, "Oh, please, just call me "Azz." "Do we need to call you anything else, Félin-san?" Asked Ryūko. "No need if you do not desire to, Lady Ryūko and Sir Iruma." Said Félin, "Although, it is fine if you want to call me anything else, most preferably my first name "Lavande." Iruma decides to call Asmodeus "Azz-kun", but Ryūko doesn't use nicknames, although addressing the feline knight by Lavande. Asmodeus asks Iruma to hand his bag for him to carry and Lavande asks if Ryūko needs the same, but the twins tell then that it's not neccesary for them to carry their bags for them.

"That's the honor students, Ryūko and Iruma."

"Did you see the paper?"

"I guess they really did make the heads of the class their servants."

Well, so much for . The group of four students now walk through the hallway before Iruma turns to Asmodeus. "So... where are we going again?" Asked Iruma. "You're in the same group as me, Ryūko-sama and Félin, Iruma-sama." Replied Asmodeus. "Group?" "Yes! They will divide the 163 new students into a number of groups, and we shall prepare before classes comence." Stated Lavande joining the conversation, "It cannot just occur all at the same time." "I see." Whispered Ryūko. "Today, we have the familiar summoming ritual. Let us go to the Familiar's Hall." Said Asmodeus. "Familiars?" Asked Iruma again. "It is a tradition here at Bablys." Said the pink-haired demon, "After entering the school, each demon summons a magical beast and makes it their subordinate." "And that's a familiar?" Asked Ryūko. "The student's rank will be determined by the magical beast they are able to summon." Added the feline demon, "Climbing those ranks lead to academic success at Babyls." "I wonder if familiars eat humans..." Thought Iruma as Asmodeus opens the doors to the Familiar's Hall for them to enter. Several students have already entered.

As the group was having their conversation, Eiko and Dariss's faces light up seeing Iruma and Ryūko. They clearly remember them when the twins saved both of them yesterday amd mutters all the courage they have to talk to them. "Iruma-sa-/Ryūko-sa-" Unfortunately, the super scary teacher, Naberius Kalego, opens one of the doors stepping into the hall. "." He said before positioning themselves towards the students. "I am Naberius Kalego, your advisor." Introduced Kalego, "I am always in charge in this ritual. Why? Because I am dignified at all times. I will determine whether you lot are useless trash or useful trash." He then walks to Ryūko and Iruma with scary daggers on his glare. "For example..." He begins, "If two pieces of trash use the spotlight their grandfather gives them to chant a vulgar spell and then have the nerve to cause such a ruckus right afterward on the same day... . Also, if a piece of trash had the nerve to try to hit a teacher during the entrance ceremony, that is also immediate grounds to get rid of you." Iruma trembles in fear, while Ryūko stands her ground with a look of intimidated eyes. "I will immediately expel any failures, so be warned." Said Kalego in final before putting up and oversized mobile tablet and shows the students a lesson guide. A cute lesson guide, where the demon heart is the mentor explaining the familiar summoning ritual.

Kalego smacked the pad down to the floor. "That's enough of your explaination." Said Kalego. "Seems like that lesson guide was too cute for his image." Thought Lavande and Ryūko. "Make sure you use the parchment with my seal on it." Instructed Kalego, "I can immediately tell if it's a fake." "U-Um, is it going to be dangerous?" Asked a green dragon demon. "What a foolish question! You will be summoning a subordinate and making it serve you!" Said Ryūko with a cold and serious voice. "Correct, Ryūko. Not bad for the honor student." Said Kalego, "That's what familiars are. And should a familiar disobey its master..." Kalego them burns a hole into the pad with his powers. "There will be punishment. That's how strong this blood pact is." Continued the teacher before walking passed Ryūko and Iruma, "Make sure you are prepared. Line up in an orderly fashion!"

Ryūko and Lavande went to take their places in line to save their trouble. "That man isn't even trying to hide his animosity." Said Asmodeus. "Yeah." Expressed Iruma with agreement from just how unnerving Kalego can be. "I'll gladly charge him if you give the order!" Exclaimed the fire demon. But Iruma told him that he would never order Asmodeus to do such thing. The taller male looks disappointed from hearing that. "Iruma, Asmodeus-san. If you two want to save your troubles for later, then line up now!" Yelled Ryūko strictly to her brother and his subordinate, this kind of startled both of them. Looks like Kalego and Ryūko share something in common, being serious and horrifically strict.

One after another demon, the students manage to summon a variety of familiars in shapes, species and sizes. "Wow! That's amazing." Said Iruma, "Don't you think, Onē-chan? ... Onē-chan?" Ryūko was staring intensely at Asmodeus about to start his ritual. She was as curious as a cat to know what will he summon, considering the fact she knows that he's quite powerful. All there was a moment of silent curiousity and excitement, the only thing Asmodeus needs now is his dignity to maintain. So, once the smoke forms, a pair of reptile eyes of red, a legless body of white scales, and a pair of black horns and wings. That was a Gorgon Snake.

Asmodeus calls out to Iruma and Ryūko while everyone looks at amazement. "T-That's amazing, Azz-kun!" Complimented Iruma, "You're both so cool!" "As expected of Sir Asmodeus Alice, summoning one powerful beast should becoming his subordinate!" Exclaimed Lavande with a bow. "Impressive. A Gorgon Snake." Said Ryūko. "You humble us with your kindness." Thanked Asmodeus as he and his familiar bowed to the three.

"A Gorgon Snake... I guess I'm not suprised, considering Asmodeus's lineage." Thought Kalego. "But this is nothing compared to the familiars you're about to summon." Said Asmodeus lit up. "Don't count on it..." Sighed Ryūko. Now it was Lavande's turn, everyone backed away from the magic circle so she can have the same sense of dignity as Asmodeus. But this time instead of using her cat canines to draw her finger's blood, she unsheathes her sword and and pricks her finger on the tip of her blade until she sees a line of her blood crossing on the metal to the guard. Performing her ritual, the smoke takes the glowing violet eyes of Lavande as it flies face-to-face with its master. In a spiral flight, dark purple feather-like scales and some green or blue lay across a serpent's body, alongside a pair of large wings of a feathered dragon with the same colours and a pair of wavy black horns on the side of it head. All taken down to a special amphithere, a Laminae Serpentine.

Iruma and Ryūko are clearly more than impressed, Lavande doesn't ask for opinions and bows to her familiar in signing the contract. "My Laminae Serpentine may be powerful, but might not be as such compared to your familars." Said Lavande to Iruma and Ryūko. "A Laminae Serpentine. I'm not suprised considering Félin's powers inherited by her mother." Thought Kalego again, "She and Asmodeus are this powerful, and they lost to Ryūko and Iruma? That's hard to believe. However.." "We're not sure about that..." Said Iruma. "Well, we shall find out soon enough." Thought the teacher deciding before calling one of them out.

"" Called Kalego. "Y-Yes, sir!" Replied Iruma. Ryūko gives a pat on the back with a smile which pours out the words: "You can do it. I believe in you." "Everyone's watching me... Wait a minute... I'm human, so I don't have any magical powers." Said Iruma mentally before drawing a circle of his blood on the parchment and bringing it over the candle, "Didn't he say if I'm a failure, I expelled? That's it! If they expel not just me, but Onē-chan too, we'll be scot-free! If we're not able to do anything during this lesson... Hallelujah, we'll get to go back to the human world!" Ryūko sighs and facepalms. "Iruma, if you plan to get us expelled, that will never happen." Dropped Ryūko knowing his plan, "There's no way you'll be getting us back to the human world. If we are expelled, I'd prefer to stay away from our parents."

Behind the student, Kalego taps on her shoulder and passes her a parchment with a different seal. "Here. For some reason, your "" wanted me to give you this parchment." Said Kalego as Ryūko faved her advisor, "It is the same as mine, but with a different seal. Who it belongs to, I have no clue." Ryūko seems as confused as Kalego but might need to accept it. "I am just as confused as you are about having a different seal, but if the chair-demon wants me to have this parchment with another's seal, I will have to accept my fate." Said Ryūko as she gently takes the parchment, "Thank you for informing me, Sir Kalego." She seems to gain the advisor's respect, considering that she makes the best of her manners. Kalego doesn't seem irritated at all, he's secretly suprised that being a cold person, the female honor student knows how to acknowledge her teachers and peers. However, he is irked by Iruma's behavior.

"The nerve of him, smirking like that! He looks just like him, nothing like his sister!" Thought Kalego angrily, "Yes, that obnoxious, unrestrained demon with no regard for others... He personifies the three things I absoluteltly despise..." It doesn't take long for him to start saying his thoughts out loud, as if he was talking someone reading his mind. "Just like Mr. Random, that dumbass chair-demon!" He said to himself... or someone watching/reading him, "To think of all the things I went through because of him... He docked my pay on a whim. He forced that stupid lesson guide he created on me. He even caused havoc at the entrance ceremony! But I am the one in charge of the familiar-summoning ritual! If he or his sister messes up even a little, I'll immediately expel your precious little grandchildren!"

Summoning
