《True Ruler》The forbidden books!

I was currently helping out the cleaning stuff in the school since I knew that a clean environment was not a giving. This whole school was huge and it was soo sparkling clean. Also, there were enough demons destroying the property and every time I see them, I let out my aura and growl a little bit while walking past them. I never did anything directly against them since I knew that the student president was doing it anyways. All I had to do was stop them for a minute before she would arrive and scold them.
Today was different tough. I wanted to clean our own classroom and went to get some utensils. Yesterday was somewhat a surprising day and I couldn't help but smile every time I see the tree from a window. I loved it. There was no doubt that my ancestors made such a tree with the image of a peaceful life in their mind.
As I was carrying the cleaning utensils around, I went around the corner only to bump into someone and fall to the ground.
Me: Ah, sorry! I should have looked around a little bit better.
I was quick on my feet and offered her a hand to pull her up on her feet again. She was older and also didn't wear any kind of uniform but something completely else.
???: You, tell me your name!
She accepted my hand and I took it helping her up.
Me: Iruma.
She began looking me up from top to bottom and I could feel how she wanted to be intimidating but as a dragon this was nothing for me.
Who is this?
I bumped into her...
I said I am sorry but why is she staring at me like this!
Is she angry or something?
But it wasn't only my fault!

Me: I'm sor-
Before I could even say anything, to her she quickly bowed to me and apologized. While she did that a book fell off her pocket. It looked very old and it also had some black scales on it. Just once glance and I knew what it was.
Ignoring the girl, I went ahead and picked it up, the moment I had it in my hand, I could feel it's power. This was not simply a book. This was the life story of a dragon. I only had one book in my hand that looked similar with yellow scales on it. However after reading through, it, I quickly realized that it was the life story of a fellow dragon. After doing a little bit of research I came up a legend saying that if a dragon died, its scale that is shielding the heart would change into a book telling its tail and living on in the memories of the others. The only catch was that it was written in ancient dragon language.
Me: That is...
???: You know this book?
Me: Yes. Can I read it and perhaps borrow it? I swear I'll bring it back by the next day!!!
???: As I though, you are...
Me: It soo nice to read the life story of our ancestors isn't it.
At this point I didn't know that she was not able to read it at all or know what was written into the book.
???: You... You are able to read this book?
Me: Sure am, I wouldn't ask otherwise.
???: If you can read it than what does the title say?
Me: The glorious battle of Citre
The moment I said that I realized that I was just reading it in ancient dragon language. Until this point, I haven't realized the difference.
Shit!

Did I just give myself away?
No way!
Does she even know what she is holding in her hand?
I think not!
Damn!
I just gave myself away!
???: I'm bringing you with me!
Me: EEEH?!
Just like that she grabbed me by my collar and started pulling me away.
You serious?
Again?!
What's with demon and pulling someone by grabbing their collar?!
I didn't like it one bit and so I used my bluisch black flames to cover me for a bit. She immediately let go the moment she felt the heat.
Me: Listen. I don't even know you! Why should I go with you and what's up with you pulling me by the collar?! Don't you know that that is very rude!!!
???: I am sorry. I haven't realized that.
Me: Now tell me why you wanted me to go with you and who you are or I'll just grill you right here and now!
Just in case to get the point over to her, I also used my aura to intimidate the demon in front of me. She immediately stepped backwards looking at me.
???: I am Ameri. I am the student's president and I acquire your help in reading these books, human.
Buddy!
Are you even listening to what you say?
I just used bluisch black flames to escape you and made you step back out of fear...
A damn human can't do that!
They are powerless!
Me: I am not a human!
Ameri: You are able to read the forbidden books that my family is treasuring. They were all brought back from the human world.
Me: And you haven't thought about Sullivan having one or two himself or that I am so fascinated by human beings that I simply put effort into learning the language?
Nice safe!
Ameri: Indeed. These options have slipped my mind. I am very sorry for that Iruma.
Me: Now, let me quickly pic up this mess and I'll come with you, okay?
Ameri: Thank you.
Just like that she helped me gather everything up from the ground and we went to her room. The moment I entered I could see some tea and some sweets and berries too.
What is this?
Am I seeing right?
It was not the sweets or the tea that had me on edge but the whole hidden section of a wall that consisted only of books. There were hundreds of books.
They all died...
I quickly picked up a book and began looking through it. The tails of Topas it says. While reading through it, a tear began falling down my check. It was about a very young dragon that was around my age and was murdered in a bloody way.
Ameri: Are you okay?
Me: Yeah...
I then told her the tale and she looked sad too. Once I was sone telling her the tale of a book, I realized how late it was and took out my phone. Before I could dial Sullivan's number Ameri came over snatched it and put her phone number into it.
Ameri: Just in case if you ever need anything and to make sure I can get in contact with you at any time.
Me: Okay.
Ever after that day, I would spend an hour reading the book and telling the tale to him. She was curious about our ancestors and I managed to avoided the question as to why humans would write about their ancestors when they were all killed by them. Naturally I never told her that I am a dragon and that this was why I was able to read that book.

Witchbone: The Goblins Winter
Themes found in these stories include friendship, found family, defying negative expectations, trying to figure out how to be a force for good in your corner of the world, doing heroic things even if you don't look or feel like a hero, and that being different isn't necessarily fatal. Summary: A spell of arctic weather. A mysterious death. The reading of a will. Strange tracks in the snow. Eleven-year-old Danny Hallow accepts his life, such as it is. His father is dead, his mother left years ago. His three Keepers are the only people aware of Danny's erratic and not-very-impressive psychic abilities. He has no friends, he's been suspended from school, and he's responsible for the life of a small brown bat that's ended up in his care. When Danny's estranged Uncle Enoch dies under mysterious circumstances, he and his Keepers are called to the town of Eddystone, New Hampshire for the reading of the man's will. Traveling four hundred miles from his dreaded hometown to attend, Danny is happy to get away, possibly inherit something interesting- and maybe find out more about his family while he's there. Arriving at the crumbling family estate of Gnomewood Home, he finds it to be hauntingly familiar, a bit creepy, oddly comforting, and possibly alive. When his uncle's will reveals that he's inherited Gnomewood and everything in it, he's determined to stay and make a happier life for himself in Eddystone, somehow. But at Gnomewood, he finds more questions than answers to his family's secrets. Disturbing old memories come to him in dreams. His psychic abilities begin to grow stronger, and as a result he becomes aware that a horde of cryptic creatures are plaguing the town of Eddystone, seemingly drawn out by the spell of an unusually frigid February. Toothy little goblins that are sneaky, vicious, and hungry. Goblins that take a particular interest in Danny. Will the emergence of the alien, and potentially dangerous, power he's inherited from his peculiar family tree help Danny survive the goblin infested winter, inadvisable attempts to befriend a terrifying boy with silver eyes, and a new school? Only if he learns to control them before they put him and everyone around him in danger. Before they convince some people that he should never have been allowed to exist at all. Before he becomes just another twisted tale in his family's bizarre history, kept hidden for centuries within the ivy-covered walls of Gnomewood Home.
