"Fuck this shit!" Laff shouted as he threw a book to the ground,
It was a very rainy day,
Laff had no choice but to use a book to make sure he wouldn't get too wet,
But now, it was practically useless.
Laff was born in Fontaine but according to his mother's words, his father was from Mondstadt.
After hearing about that, he really wanted to see the City of Wind and Song, he wanted to at least see how it would be if he was still alive, afterall.
But today was a bad day to go,
It was pouring down,
The wind was tough,
At least the book he had thrown away was just the 'Tevyat Travel Guide'.
The contents of it wasn't really useful to guide anyone anyway, all it had were just psychopathic ideas from the author, Alice, anyway.
Laff was nearly out of breath trying to travel in the harsh wind and rain.
He stopped for a while to sit down, despite how wet it was.
"Why does it feel like I'm travelling through Inazuma, now?! This shitty rain is just getting worse and worse!"
Laff leaned against a tree as he shouted,
He took off his backpack and put it down to take out some food and water,
He had been travelling so long from Liyue Harbour, and all the food he had were just some apples and sunsettias,
"At least it's not a thunderstorm.." Laff whispered as followed by a yawn,
He was getting sleepy at this point...
'Is he really going to sleep here? In this weather?' Laff heard someone whisper as he began to fall asleep,

Laff woke up in an unfamiliar room, and his shirt was gone.
And soon enough,
Laff recognised the wallpaper and style of furniture,
He was in the adventurer's guild!
At least in one of the bedrooms?
Laff heard a knocking sound coming from the door as he was just about to get up,
He opened the door.
"Hello?" Laff greeted as he yawned and rubbed his eyes,
Only to see a taller, blonde haired man carrying a tray with soup and tea,
"Oh! Hello! I see you've woken up!"
The man responded as he smiled.
"Wh-who.. are you?" Laff nearly fell as he stepped back,
"Oh, right. Uh... Me and my friend saw you fall asleep out in the rain yesterday, so we decided to bring you here! My name's Blaza."
Laff was shook, but he let Blaza into the room, trusting his words.
Blaza set the tray down on a table near the bed.
"What's your name by the way? We were only told you're an adventurer from Fontaine when we brought you in here," Blaza sat down on the end of the bed as he scratched his head.
It was a bit awkward, really.
"Oh.. Did Katheryne tell you that..?
Ah! And my name's Laff..
Nice to meet you, Blaza."
Laff held out his hand to shake Blaza's.
"Mhm. Nice to meet you too, Laff."
Blaza nodded as he shook Laff's hand.
"Uh.. were you traveling to Mondstadt or something..? Or were you returning home?"
"Traveling. This is probably my first time here. I didn't expect it to rain so bad.." Laff paused.
He looked back down to his shirtless chest and saw his claymore leaned against the wall.
"Did you..? Or your friend..?
Oh, and what's their name, if you don't mind telling me," Laff chuckled as he finished talking.
Blaza seemed a bit flustered.

He cleared his throat and began with a small nervous chuckle.
"Uh.. I- I did.. I was just checking to see if you were injured..!" Blaza paused as he laughed a bit more, blush all over his face.
"And my friends name is Socks..! It's kind of a silly name, but... Trust me, it really is his name.."
"Oh..?" Laff paused, followed by a loud laughter.
"You know, you can always ask one of the nurses to do that..!" He continued to laugh like crazy. Blaza was really embarrassed.
"But ah... Really, thank you. Thank you for bringing me here,
I'm sure I would've gotten sick if I continued to sleep out in the rain."
Laff smiled as he finished talking.
"Ah.. I-It was no problem, really! I- I've got to go now, I think! It was really nice to meet you.! B- Bye!!"
Blaza was really embarrassed and tried to cover his face as he rushed out the door,
Laff smiled and waved goodbye as he looked back to the tray on the table.
'That was actually kind of cute.. heheh..' Laff couldn't help but continue to smile thinking about Blaza's blushing face.

As the day passed, Laff put his, now dry shirt back on and took his stuff as he left the guild.
It was bright outside,
Laff hadn't expected the city to be so beautiful.
He could hear birds chirping as he also saw some other birds fly above,
This really is the city of wind, huh.
Laff looked back to a map of Mondstadt that his mother had gave him before he went on this journey.
What should he look at first?
There was a popular tavern not too far away,
But Laff decided to check out probably Mondstadt's most popular restaurant,
Good Hunter.
There, He also happened to see the cute boy once again, as well as another person next to him.
"Hello, Blaza!" Laff smiled as he greeted him,
"Oh, Hello, Laff! This is my friend that I was talking about," Blaza responded as he pointed to the man next to him,
He was a bit shorter than Blaza but still taller than Laff.
'I guess this is the man named Socks, then.'
"Hello! Nice to meet you, dude sleeping in the rain!" Socks grinned as he shook Laff's hand.
Laff laughed at the nickname.
"Oh no, please call me, Laff. But it is a pleasure to meet you too."
"Oh alright!" Socks turned to look at the recommendation board as Laff and Blaza looked at eachother.
"Uh.. So, are you here to check out Mondstadt's food or something?"
"Well, I guess. But I don't really know what they have here...
What would you recommend?"
Blaza looked at recommendation board,
"The 'Sticky Honey Roast' is good."
Laff chuckled,
"Guess I'll have that then,"
"I think I'll have a Sweet Madame!"
Socks said as he finished reading the board and looked back at the person behind the counter.
"I think I'll just have a 'Sticky Honey Roast' as well. Oh, and a 'Satisfying Salad' too." Blaza grinned.
The person behind the counter smiled at them and nodded.
"Alright, Two 'Sticky Honey Roasts' , One 'Sweet Madame' and one 'Satisfying Salad' for you three."
And the three of them went to sit down and waited for their food.
'That Blaza boy really is cute.. huh..'
Laff thought to himself as he continued to stare at the tall man.

Dungeon Core Chat Room.
This is a slower-paced "experiment and dungeon building" web novel that tries to use the idea of peer-to-peer communication with Dungeon Cores instead of Dungeon to slave monster communication to break up the detailed dungeon building. Rank 1 description: (minimum met for system initialization...detailed description as follows) Each race was given a system by the gods to make up for their shortcomings and balance their place in this world. Humans: Abysmally bad at understanding and using magic unable to use more than the lowest of magic were given the "Skill System" magic in the form of premade skills with use, study, and mastery tied to experience. Elves: Intuitively understand magic and have long lives leading to vast knowledge and skill in their chosen fields. However, as a species, they have nearly zero sex drive and less than low fertility, so they were gifted the "World Tree System" with experience gained through the care of natural areas – gifting the chance of children to increase their numbers without dirty copulation. All “natural” or “wild” monsters are given an "Evolution system" designed around killing and consuming as many creatures as possible, slowly increasing strength and, at thresholds, allowing mutations to alter them multiple times. Dungeon cores are different. Unlike humans, they can see, manipulate and live off mana. Unlike Elves, they naturally crystallize after extended periods of time in high mana level areas. However, they cannot easily move or communicate and typically go insane without companionship. As a species other than the odd eccentric they are unimaginative. Brute forcing solutions without the drive to truly innovate. Thus they have been gifted with the "Dungeon Connection System" a magical version of the internet accessible by their peers that allows them to barter and sell: bait, traps, monsters, and knowledge, as well as entertain each other with “adventure streams” using exciting recorded battles and humorous reels of arrogant chumps biting off more than they can chew to often fatal effects. This is the casual story of a dungeon unluckily spawned far from potential adventurers forced to innovate beyond its peers to find its place in this world. Rank 2 Description: Justification. I've been on a dungeon core kick for months and while I love the genre – it's sparse with entries. Often the forced conflict gets repetitive and frantic solving of threats "power levels" the protagonist to god levels to progress the plot – taking away the nice steady progression fantasy I'm looking for. (Progression in this story is linked to how strong of monsters/traps/whatever he can create not his "level"...this is demonstrated by some of his newer monsters beating his older monsters not with discrete "this monster has 10 attack this one has 40") Additionally, the focus on 3rd parties with their drama takes away from the reason I’m reading dungeon core novels in the first place – I'm looking for magical crafting, experimentation and kingdom building – not defence from higher and higher levelled enemies looking to steal/destroy/control the MC. This novel is kind of just me writing the story I wish I could read. I like thinking about the experimentation that can be done in fantasy settings using 'mana' as an excuse to make up rules and try to keep them internally consistent. IE once I define how a rule works, I'm going to commit to keeping it – no breaking hard truths I've given when it's convenient, even if it backs me into a corner. Hopefully, that should make the story interesting to read even if it's SOL and less action-oriented. There will be problems to solve and a clear progression in strength (of created monsters and knowledge) however due to not wanting to force conflict for the sake of conflict the general theme will be closer to slice of life with few action sequences and no overarching goal so please keep that in mind when picking this up as the genre is not for everyone. Finally, I have a clear goal of what I want from this story (not an endless romp but a series of arcs and then a conclusion that's a couple of dozen medium-sized chapters long) I want to commit to finishing it or at least bringing it to a point of rest. I hate all the engaging stories that stop with a “hiatus” indefinitely so in the event I lose motivation I'll work to end this even if the ending becomes rushed/unsatisfying just to give a sense of closure. I’m planning on including several polls in terms of direction and taking feedback heavily into account if I get enough readers (but may choose to ignore it if it deviates too far from the direction I want to take this as in feedback like: “The MC needs a cartoonishly evil arch-enemy that wants to enslave him and force the mc to pump out magic items” or “the MC needs to make a body and learn teleportation then live with humans” will get shot down without consideration.)
