《Father Laff AU (Socksfor1) Volume 1》Blooming, Bombing Relationships (Part Seven)

Rushing into the E.R waiting room, Socks quickly stopped in his tracks and huffed quietly. He quickly glanced around and spotted Laff and Nadwe off to the side as he quickly made his way over. Laff was pacing back and forth nervously as he was covering his mouth; looking extremely worried as Nadwe was chilling out in one of the chairs and eating some food that was left over from the hospital cafe. "Hey," Socks began as Laff quickly broke out of his trance to look at him "h-have you heard anything?" The tired British dad seemed to tremble a bit before looking away, sighing and shaking his head "N-No, nothing..." This made Socks sigh and glance away, really worried himself as he put his hand over his mouth.
Joocie had been admitted into intensive care because he had attempted to overdose on his anxiety meds, and he was completely unresponsive when Wictoria found him. It has been a couple of hours in the dead of night and Laff hadn't heard anything since he and Nadwe had arrived. Everyone else WOULD have been in the waiting room with them but since it was so late Laff sort of understood why no one else wasn't here. He had told Wictoria that she shouldn't worry until the morning since he knew all of this was causing her as much distress as it was causing him, Shroobz adamantly refused to be in a room with multiple cameras, but at least he knew Meme was here. Meme was called back in due to short staff and he was mortified to hear one of the midnight admissions was one of his own best friends.
The only two who (probably) don't know what's going on with Joocie are Tbh and Blaza, and Laff is flat out refusing to have either one of them hear a peep about this and he was very direct with the head nurse in telling him that Tbh should NOT be contacted. Neither of them had the right to know what was going on with Joocie after they had the gall to do what they did in his own home!
Laff took in a soft huff as he felt his blood boil at thinking of Tbh again "I can't-" He grumbled quietly as he rubbed his face. "I STILL can't believe Tbh did that to Joocie! Ohh, if I sees him again mate it'll be too soon." He felt his anger continue to rise as he started flexing his fists, Socks looked a little intimidated as he took a step back. "M-Man, he must have messed up badly huh?"
"He's done the biggest fuck up imaginable! Mate; Tbh has been cheating with Blaza behind Joocie's back!" Laff whisper yelled as he turned to look at Socks. Socks seemed to flinch when Laff glared at him as he chuckled silently, glancing away nervously "haha...y-you don't say..." He glanced back at Laff and cleared his throat rather quickly when he noticed Laff was still glaring at him "I-I knew he had done the same thing with Meme and I thought-...well we ALL believed he wouldn't pull that again...I-I guess I should have saw it coming." Laff closed his eyes and took a deep breath before sighing slowly "...we all should have. I should have never been okay with Joocie takin' him back the first time." He sighed and sat down in one of the chairs, holding his head in his hands "and now look what's come of it..."
Nadwe was quietly eating some apple slices that came with his food as he looked up at Laff when he sat down. He then noticed that Socks was there as he quickly turned to look at him, gasping softly. Socks looked back at Nadwe for a bit before looking away, ashamed. The small Dhampir glanced down a bit at his food and in an impulsive move knocked his bowl of apple slices off his lap. "Oh noooo Ima gonna need more apples..." he trailed off as he slowly got down from his seat and looked at Socks "Uncle Socks can you take me?"

Socks quickly looked back at him caught off guard "Huh-?" Nadwe frowned a bit and shuffled his feet as he looked at him "please?" The spaceman stared at Nadwe for a minute before moving his gaze to look at Laff for a bit. He sighed quietly and nodded softly "alright, c'mon." He held his hand out as Nadwe took it. He looked at Laff, "we'll be right back.." and walked off with Nadwe in tow.
Almost instantly once Socks was out of sight, Meme came out from the main floor and walked over to Laff. Laff noticed Meme walking towards him as he quickly stood up "w-well mate..?" Meme looked worried as he tapped his clipboard, looking down at it. "Um, he's stable at least. But he hasn't woken up yet...a few of the other doctors were thinking of keeping him here for longer than planned since this was technically a suicide attempt...was-"
"No." Laff quickly interrupted, "no, I do not what Tbh within 50 feet of this hospital. Both him and his shitty antics led to this, if I sees him I will kick his arse." He took in a slow breath and rubbed his head "...so no, he doesn't know what happened to Joocie. Frankly, he doesn't deserve to know after what he and Blaza did." Meme quietly let him speak as he sighed softly, lowering his clipboard as he glanced down. "...Yeah, I feel the same. Tbh still doesn't know that I tried to end myself while dating him, but when I caught him cheating the first time-"
"HE'S CHEATED BEFORE!?" Laff stared at him, eyes wide in shock as Meme flinched softly. He rubbed the back of his head "Ah, shit, I guess I never told you that..." Meme sighed quietly "yeah; on me...guess if anyone should have seen this coming it would have been me." He frowned a bit and rubbed his head "it was fucking stupid of me to believe he actually changed..."
Laff sighed softly and ran his hand through his hair "ah, it was stupid of all of us mate. I should have stepped in and stopped Joocie from takin' him back..." He frowned a bit as he slowly regained his composure "but...he will be okay, I'm sure of it..." Meme looked at him and managed a small smile "o-of course he will. He's being taken care of by the best medical team after all..." He reached over and gently patted his shoulder. "I promise, I'll make sure he will be okay." Laff stared back at him and smiled softly in return, reaching up to put his hand over Meme's "I know." He softly replied which made Meme's smile a little less forced.
The same alarm rang again and again from Meme's small radio as Laff immediately grew tense since he was told once what a code blue means. Meme quickly noticed and waved his hand as he picked up his radio from his pocket "It's not Joocie I swear! He's on the 14th floor, but I still should go see what's up so I'll be back-" he trailed off as he started walking backwards, making sure Laff was reassured before he turned around and sprinted down the hall, leaving Laff and his worries behind.
Sitting at a small table in the cafe, Nadwe was happily eating his apple slices as Socks sat there, sighing quietly as he glanced to the side. He knew that Meme was here working, but he had been refusing any attempt of communication all day and he just wanted to find him here at the hospital to talk to him. But he knew that it would most likely come off the wrong way so he didn't try. Socks felt like Meme was ignoring him on purpose because of how the past week went between them, and he honestly didn't blame him.

"Are you gonna say sorry to Uncle Meme Uncle Socks?"
Socks flinched and looked at Nadwe surprised, Nadwe was looking back at him as he held an apple slice. "...Well...I-I'm trying to Nadwe, Meme just...doesn't want to talk right now." Nadwe hummed quietly and traced the apple slice along the side of his bowl "wonder why." Socks was quick to deadpan him "hey."
Nadwe sighed softly and looked at him "you really hurt Uncle Meme's feelings ignoring him, he has a right to ignore you. Meme hadn't done anything wrong and didn't even know what you were talking about." Socks huffed and rubbed the back of his neck "...I know, well I know now." He looked back at Nadwe as he was frowning at him "...I'm gonna make it right, I just need to figure out how..." He looked away from Nadwe again "I promise I am going to make it right between me and Meme..."
Nadwe didn't know what to think as he went back to eating his apples as Socks noticed Marsha walk into the cafe to grab herself some coffee since she was working 'overtime'. -.- Socks thought to himself as he almost quickly got up and stormed over to Marsha. She noticed and seemed a little smug as she turned to face Socks as he came over to her.
"I hope you're fucking proud of yourself, you just might have cost me my fucking relationship with the best man in the world." Marsha hummed and swirled her coffee around "Hm, yeah; I am proud of myself. You fucking meant nothing to Meme, I just helped prove that fact." Socks' anger rose significantly as he felt like decking Marsha in the face "I know I mean a shit ton more to him than you fucking cunt; if he ever found out you were the reason for this shitty week between us he would kill you."
Marsha let out a smug laugh and glared at him "Good thing he is NEVER going to know. I made sure those texts over discord you saw were hidden from his phone so he will never find out. And when he dumps you, I'll be the rebound since I knew you two would never last and he will know that. Two guys could never date and make it work, you need a woman's hand in a relationship to make it last. But if you behave and somehow remain his FRIEND I'll allow you to our eventual wedding." She giggled and smirked, "Besides, what are YOU going to do to make Meme believe-"
One of the coffee pots was quickly slammed into Marsha's face as she fell down, letting out a scream of pain as Socks quickly backed off; knowing what was about to happen. When Marsha recollected herself; her face burned and cut from the pot of coffee, she glared up thinking it was Socks who hit her but turned pale white when she saw Meme standing there. He was holding the handle of the broken pot as he looked FURIOUS.
"It was YOU?" He started, unbelievably angry as Marsha tried to defend herself. "YOU ARE THE FUCKING REASON I EVER DOUBTED SOCKS!? AND FOR WHAT- FOR ME TO DATE !?! IN CASE YOU HAVEN'T FUCKING NOTICED; I AM I WOULD NEVER DATE YOU EVEN IF YOU WERE THE LAST HUMAN BEING ON EARTH! I CAN'T EVEN BELIEVE I THOUGHT SOCKS WAS CHEATING ON ME AND BLAMING ME TO FEIGN BLAME!"
Socks flinched softly at this and looked away nervously.
Hearing all the commotion, Darren quickly sped walked to the cafe with a few other doctors as he instantly pulled Meme away "Okay Okay I am just as furious with Marsha as you are but if you continue you're going to be suspended without pay." Meme took in a slow, rage-induced breath as Darren smirked at Marsha "Besides; she's fired anyway for sexual harassment. You'll never see her again." Marsha's eyes went wide as she quickly stood up "WHAT!? HOW!?" Darren kept smirking as he pulled out Marsha's phone from his pocket "A tip; don't have every single group chat with men you harassed and ruined their relationships saved to your phone with no password. HR recorded everything so you can have this back~" He chirped happily as he tossed her phone back.
Marsha almost went ballistic on Darren as Meme walked over to Socks; still fuming about what he had just heard. Socks looked at him, unsure of what to do but he felt really guilty he put Meme through all of the ignoring for no reason without even telling him about what he had seen. "...Meme, I-I'm really sorry for what I put you through...I-I thought you knew-"
"I'm sorry I didn't tell you about Marsha before..." Meme quietly admitted as Socks looked surprised "...maybe if I did none of this would have happened..." Socks kept looking at him before he got a little mad "Are you seriously apologizing!? I should apologize! All of this was my fault!" Meme was taken aback as he looked at Socks before he glared at him "But if I had told you about Marsha none of this would have-" Socks cut him off almost immediately "That doesn't excuse what I-"
"OKAY WAIT WAIT WAIT!" Nadwe piped up as he walked over, shutting both of the adults down. "This will go on and on and on and on and on in circles! So just both of yous say 'sorry' at the same time and make up for loaf's sake!"
Both Socks and Meme looked down at Nadwe as he waited there with his arms crossed. The two looked at each other for a minute before they both said "I'm sorry" at the same time. A few more seconds passed before the two said "I missed you" at the same time unintentionally. Socks and Meme stared at each other for a few more seconds before they started laughing quietly. The Spaceman made the first move and pulled Meme close in a hug "god I'm so sorry, I fucking missed you so much." Meme started tearing up a bit as he hugged Socks tightly, crushing his lungs "I missed you to ganja aadamee."
"I've been brushing up on Hindi and I KNOW you've been calling me 'Bald Man' for a while Meme." Meme started laughing softly as Socks smiled, holding Meme tighter "and I've missed you calling me that." Meme smiled and pulled away to look at him "आई लव यू सॉक्स।(I love you Socks.)" Socks looked back at him and brushed his soft black hair back, "आई लव यू भी मेमे।(I love you to Meme.)" The two smiled and pulled each other in to kiss as Nadwe smiled happily, covering his eyes and just happy they finally made up.
Everything hurts...
Joocie groaned quietly as he was fighting to open his eyes. He had no memory of what happened during his panic attack, he only knew that whatever he had done just made him feel a little better than significantly worse as his entire body burned. He felt super groggy and just awful now, laying in an uncomfortable bed with starchy sheets.
Oh, he was in the hospital...fuck that means he did do what he thought he did.
Try to kill himself... -not a smart idea...-
That's probably why his body was fighting him to perform just the simplest of functions; like opening his eyes. He just felt so upset and angry at Tbh that his actions quickly got away from him. Joocie knew he was very fucking lucky that someone found him and brought him straight to the hospital. As much at the moment when he really did want to end it all, he knew that he had at least some worth by staying alive. He just didn't know who meant that much to anymore... The man Joocie wanted to spend the rest of his life with treated him horribly and was probably just putting on an act the last four years. He felt so STUPID trusting him when everything was in front of him.
He had a feeling that Tbh was even there to see if he was alright because he knew it wasn't Tbh who found him.
Oh, and it hurt even worse when he remembered that it was Blaza to aided in destroying everything Joocie believed. He was one of his closest friends and someone who helped make sure their relationship didn't divert back to how it was. Was that a lie too? He didn't know, he didn't want to know or look at either one of them ever again. He groaned quietly again as he felt the tears of a panic attack coming back as he believed he would have to face them again once he went back home.
Joocie was quickly pulled out of his thoughts when he felt someone gently take his hand and a familiar voice spoke "easy there chap, you don't want to push yourself any further now do you?"
That voice..!
Joocie had managed to finally open his eyes slightly and look over at who was holding his hand. It was Charlie!
Charlie smiled softly and gently rubbed his hand with his thumb "how are you doing? Better now that you're not overdosing I'll bet." Joocie opened his eyes a bit more as he was staring at Charlie in disbelief "c-charlie..?" He cleared his throat a bit as he kept looking at him "I-I thought...y-you were still in Brazill..." Charlie chuckled quietly and kept rubbing his hand "Came home earlier than expected. Got a call from the hospital saying you were brought in through ER. I talked with one of your friends in the lobby; told me everything that happened. Gosh, I'm sorry you had to go through that...someone cheating on you isn't fun."
Joocie started to feel the tears well up in his eyes quickly as he whimpered silently. Charlie noticed and reached over with his free hand and gently rubbed his eyes for him "hey now, don't cry...it hurts now, but it'll get better. Trust me, and you know every one of your friends still cares about you no matter what you believe." Joocie kept whimpering quietly as Charlie quietly consoled him; reassuring him everything will be okay with time.
"...C-Charlie..?" Joocie quietly muttered through whimpers as Charlie nodded in response, letting him know he was listening. "...c-can you...help me with...something after I...get out...?" Charlie looked at him and nodded, gently squeezing his hand to affirm him "Of course, what is it?"
Laff was quickly coming up the hallway as he was given the go-ahead to go into Joocie's room to see him. He only made it to the door when he noticed the man named 'Charlie' was already in there. He was holding Joocie's hand and quietly talking to him and comforting him as Joocie was struggling not to start bawling. Laff watched for a few more seconds before smiling softly and quietly backing off from the doorway so he wouldn't interrupt.
-I'll give them a few more minutes.- He thought to himself as he went to find the vending machines on this floor; remembering he was hungry himself and knew that Joocie would be thirsty after being out for a while.
