(I initially wanted this to be two separate parts, but I feel like combining these two parts just fit with one another.)
___
"C'mon, you got it lad."
Laff was kneeling beside the couch with his phone in hand as Nadwe was holding himself standing up by holding onto the edge of the couch. He seemed uneasy as he was taking tiny steps as he was slowly making his way towards Laff. He slowly let go of the couch as he stood up on both feet.
Laff smiled softly and kept his phone up "You got it son; you can do it."
Nadwe looked over at him and went to walk towards him as he instantly lost balance and fell. Laff quickly reacted, dropping his phone and catching Nadwe before he fell flat on his face.
Sighing softly out of relief, he looked at Nadwe "Are you alright lad?"
Nadwe giggled and waved his hands up and down.
Laff relaxed and smiled softly, setting Nadwe sitting on the ground as he picked up his phone. He stopped the recording and sighed softly "Well, you're almost there." He looked at his son and smiled softly, "You're making fast progress for your age." He smiled and tapped Nadwe's nose "You're only one and starting to learn how to walk!"
Nadwe squealed and grabbed Laff's hand as his father left out a small laugh.
One year, god Nadwe's already one year old. Of course, this is speculated to be his birthday since Laff had absolutely NO clue when his actual birthday was. But today was roughly a week or so before the day he actually found him, which at that point Meme had stated it was likely Nadwe was only a week old at best during that time.
It still to this day makes Laff sick that he was abandoned at that young of an age. He isn't sure if it was his mother or father or even both had decided to leave him in that alleyway. But it's not like he really cares, nor does he feel like he should care. If his birth parents didn't have any good reason to keep Nadwe other than because they didn't want him, Laff could care less.
As far as he is concerned, Nadwe is his son and no one else's. And he's comfortable with knowing that.
Nadwe gripped on his jacket sleeve and tugged on it, whining softly. He was trying to tell Laff he was hungry. Laff chuckled softly and stood up "Alright, alright, I hear you lad." He started walking to the kitchen as someone knocked on the door, he stopped and walked to the door "As soon as I answer that."
Nadwe frowned and crossed his arms, pouting softly as Laff opened the door.
Outside the door was Wictoria, holding her purse and a small gift bag as she smiled "Laff!"
Laff chuckled and smiled "Hey 'Tori" He invited her inside "I wasn't expecting you to come over so soon." Wictoria smiled softly and set down her purse "I know, but I thought it wouldn't hurt to come early. And how could I not? Since it's whittle Nadwe's birthday!" She smiled brightly and took Nadwe's hands as she started baby talking to him.
Nadwe would have liked this, but he was really hungry at this point and just wanted to eat.
Laff noticed and walked over to the couch, setting Nadwe down "Alright lad I'll get yous your bottle." He walked into the kitchen as Wictoria took a seat on the couch beside Nadwe, setting down the gift bag beside him. Nadwe looked at the gift bag as he tilted his head, confused as Wictoria smiled warmly. "Happy birthday Nadwe, I was shopping the other day and I found some things to make your gift!"

Nadwe let out a tiny noise of confusion as Wictoria removed the tissue paper from the bag and reached inside.
"I know how much you love your daddy, so.." She pulled out a small doll that resembled Laff greatly as Nadwe's eyes lit up "If you ever have to be watched by anyone else or put in day care, now you can take a piece of your father wherever you go!" Nadwe looked honestly surprised as Wictoria handed him the Laff doll for him to hold.
He looked at it as he gently held it, careful with it. The small doll looks exactly like Laff, with fluffy brown yawn weaved carefully and hand stitched clothes and a small clip on gas mask. He squealed and hugged the doll tightly as Laff walked back in with a warm bottle. He looked over at Nadwe and chuckled softly, setting the bottle down on the coffee table and knelt down beside the couch. Nadwe saw him and held out the doll, showing it to him as Laff chuckled quietly, "What's this now?"
Laff gently took it from Nadwe and looked at it with a small smile. He then laughed softly and handed it back to Nadwe "Tori mate, you didn't REALLY use that awful photo I sent you, did you?"
Wictoria giggled quietly "It wasn't awful! It was cute!"
Laff snickered quietly and picked up the bottle "That was one of my worst moments!" Wictoria smiled and giggled "But it was the only full body photo you sent!" Laff sat on the couch and picked Nadwe up and kept chuckling softly "Excuses excuses."
Wictoria smiled and leaned on him "Not your fault you are so handsome."
Laff blushed softly and chuckled softly "Not your fault you're so kind." He leaned over and kissed her head as Nadwe took the bottle from him and started drinking it.
Sipping his tea, Joocie sat outside of a small diner as he was scrolling through the text messages on his phone. He passed the multitude of messages from Tbh and opened up his chat to Laff.
"Hey Laff! Tell Nadwe happy birthday! :>"
"I would come over but I have an interview later today, but I did give my present to Socks to bring with him when he visits!" [Sent: 10:00am].
He closed out his messages as he set his phone down. He went to take another sip of his tea as someone came up to his table with a card. Joocie looked at the man as he handed him said card "Um, someone wanted me to give this to you..." Joocie looked at the front of the card and sighed heavily. "Where is this person?" Without hesitation the man pointed to one of the other tables as Joocie looked over.
He saw Tbh sitting at that table as he quickly hid behind the diners menu.
Joocie huffed quietly and thanked the man. He picked up his tea, got up and walked over to the table. "Honest, what are you doing?"
Tbh looked nervous from being caught but tried to play it cool "Joocie!...I was just, um, enjoying some brunch here! I totally was not following you or anything-and that sounds worse, doesn't it?" Joocie sighed and shook his head, reluctantly reading the card in his hand. "...you know what's the worst part of this, Honest?" Tbh looked up at him as Joocie set the card down "It's that I do not know if this," he pointed to the card "is the fucking truth with you."

"I-It is! Joocie, everything I've written in that card was nothing but the truth! I am really sorry!-"
"Yeah but how do I know that, Honest? All that I remember is that you just constantly lie and lie to me! You lie consistently about changing for the better but when ARE you going to do that?" He huffed "That's the biggest issue with you Honest, I am not sure if you will ever change."
Tbh looked like he was on the verge of crying as he looked up at Joocie "I-I know that, but I don't want to loose you and I don't know why I keep fucking up. I-I know that all of this is my fault but I don't know how to stop myself from fucking up!..." He rubbed his eyes "I-I really want you to trust me again Joocie, I've never had anyone so caring like you..." Joocie frowned a bit as he kept rambling on. "You're the only person I've ever been with that still stuck with me no matter how many times I fucked up...I-I know you don't trust me any more but please...I'll do anything to have you trust me again..."
Joocie stared at him for a while, trying to find any hint of him lying to his face again, but couldn't find any. He wasn't really sure though; he wished he had Laff's talent of telling who is lying to his face.
After that while, he took in a slow breath and slowly exhaled "...I'll think about it, Honest."
Tbh looked surprised as he looked at Joocie again "W-Wait, really?"
Joocie turned around and started walking away "I said what I said..." He stopped a few steps away from this table and glanced to the side "...I'll text you when I'm ready to talk." He tossed his tea cup in the trash and walked out of the diner without another word.
Tbvg and Oompa were setting up a small camera in a small skate park as Tbvg looked uneasy "I'm not sure about this." Oompa was setting up a small umbrella over the camera to keep it in shade as he laughed "I say 20 bucks he lands flat on his face." Tbvg quickly yanked off his visors and looked at him with a stern glare "OOMPA DON'T JOKE WITH ME-"
"Hey! Are we rolling yet!?"
Both Tbvg and Oompa turned to look at the far end of the skatepark to see Oof standing at the top of the ramp with his neon blue skateboard. He was only wearing his hoodie, loose fitting jeans and a random hat he owned. He was absolutely not wearing ANY protective gear, not even a helmet.
"Are you sure this is safe!?"
Oof smiled and lifted up his shades "Tb's! I promise you I will be fine!" He put his shades back on "Nadwe is gonna have the coolest video gift ever! He's gonna be the third to watch my ultimate routine, my best combination yet!"
"IF YOU FALL ON YOUR ASS I GET 20 BUCKS RIGHT!?"
Oof glared over at Oompa "OOMPA DON'T PULL TB INTO A BET YOU KNOW HE HATES THAT!"
"AW DAMMIT!"
He stretched out his arms and got his board ready "Alright! Hit it you two! I'm ready!"
Reluctantly, Tbvg pressed play on the camera as Oompa moved it to face Oof. In no time, Oof was performing his daredevil routine while Oompa recorded him. Tbvg was looking away the entire time since this was extremely reckless and dangerous and he couldn't bear to see Oof get hurt. Oompa was enjoying himself though, cheering for Oof as he kept performing. Tbvg couldn't stand to not know what was going on as he turned to look, Oof was in the middle of a rail slide on the wooden halfpipe.
Tbvg saw the entire structure begin to sway as his eyes widened, all of the buttons on his visor turning on at once ""
Oof got distracted and looked in the direction of Tbvg as the entire upside of the halfpipe split down the middle. The wheels on his board got caught in the groves as Oof went flying down onto the ground. He groaned quietly as he didn't have much time to react as the right-hand side of the halfpipe quickly broke apart and collapsed on top of him.
Tbvg was staring in horror as Oompa quickly ran over, the camera still rolling "" He ran to the debris and quickly started pulling off the smaller pieces of the wooden skate structure as he looked over at Tbvg "CALL THE ER, DON'T JUST STAND THERE!!"
Tbvg quickly snapped out of it and quickly pulled out his phone, shaking as he made the frantic call to 911. He looked up again as Oompa managed to push one of the larger pieces away, providing some open space to pick up Oof from underneath all the mess and get him help. Tbvg heard and felt the panic attack quickly rushing up on him as he struggled to keep himself collected. Oompa pulled Oof out from the rubble and laid him down on the ground.
Oof was out cold as Oompa tried to shake him awake ""
The camera was still rolling the entire time.
"HAPPY BIRTHDAY NADWE!!!"
The small group in the kitchen cheered loudly as Nadwe sat in his highchair with a cake infront of him. He giggled happily as Laff chuckled, taking the still lit candle off and tossed it in the sink.
Meme was just about to take Nadwe's head and smash his face in the cake as Socks grabbed his arm and stopped him "No." Meme huffed and crossed his arms "You're no fun.." Socks poked his cheek "You know Laff said no." Meme pouted and looked at him "But-" Socks quickly took some of the frosting off the cake and swiped it across Meme's nose. He squeaked in confusion as Socks chuckled "Laff's apartment, Laff's rules."
Meme stared at him for a bit before bumping noses with Socks, getting frosting on his nose as well.
Socks snickered quietly and pulled him closer "You big goof." Meme stuck his tongue out and giggled "*your* goof." Socks chuckled and kissed him softly, keeping him close.
Shroobz looked over at the two and chuckled quietly "Tone it down you two, remember; it's Nadwe's birthday." The two quickly let each other go as Dino held two gift bags, one from him and one from Woolfster who was working tirelessly on finals. "Can we do gifts now? Nadwe could wait on cake, right?" Laff looked at him as Wictoria was cutting the cake "Dino lad, what's the rush?"
"I don't know if I left my oven on or not."
Laff stifled a laugh and smiled "Dino mate, I don't think you did. You have an electric stove. Why so nervous?" Dino set the gift bags down on the counter and sighed softly "I'm not sure, I feel like something is wrong..." Laff tilted his head "What would be wrong?-" Laff's phone started to buzz as he answered it "Hello?-"
"LAFF WE'RE SORRY BUT WE CAN'T MAKE IT TO THE PARTY"
Laff blinked and looked at his phone "Oompa? Whats-"
"OOF'S IN THE HOSPITAL!"
Laff's eyes widened "He WHAT." He quickly moved into the living room so as to not discuss anything in front of Nadwe. Everyone else was confused as they followed into the living room, asking questions and leaving Nadwe unsupervised. Nadwe whined quietly as the cake that Wictoria was cutting was put on the dining table out of his reach. He let out a quiet hum as he looked around, specifically at his highchair tray that had basic buttons to remove it, and he wasn't buckled down in the chair.
"..."
Nadwe grabbed the sides of the tray and eventually unclipped it, holding it up and letting it fall out of his hands onto the ground. He let out a squeak as he looked down, trying to determine how to get down from his chair. He eventually managed to slide down off of his chair onto the ground as he looked around. He looked up at the table and realized he was now too short to reach the cake. He huffed quietly and looked over in the living room, noticing his dad talking to someone on the phone while he worked worried. His face brightened up as he pulled himself to stand beside the table.
"Are you sure he will be okay?" Laff asked as he looked into the phone. He sighed a little in relief and nodded a bit "Alright, tell Tbvg he has my best regards. We'll visit soon.." He hung up and sighed, rubbing his face. Meme scoffed quietly and crossed his arms "I told Oof that skatepark was old!"
Dino rubbed the back of his neck "I'm just glad that Oof is okay...unconscious, but okay." Wictoria frowned a bit "I feel so bad for Tbvg..." Dino looked at her "I would feel the same way if any one of you all ended up in a situation like that, Oof could have been crushed to death!"
Socks glanced to the side a bit "That's why we call Oof an ultimate daredevil, he does a lot of shit none of us could ever do." He blinked as he looked into the kitchen as Shroobz got Laff's attention "Oof will be fine, I promise you." Laff sighed quietly and looked at him "I know, but fuck Shroobz, Oof was nearly crushed to death and for what? A video that Nadwe would most likely never remember? He could have gotten himself killed or at the worst scenario got some life alternating scar. What if it was Nadwe or Woolfster?-"
He felt a tug at his pant leg as he looked down at Nadwe who was trying to get his attention. "Not now Nadwe, daddy's talking." He looked back at Shroobz as his mind was processing. Laff now noticed that everyone else was quiet and staring at Nadwe in awe. Shroobz glanced down at Nadwe and smiled softly, chuckling quietly "Well would you look at that?"
Laff turned back around to look at Nadwe as he gasped "NADWE YOU WALKED!?!"
Nadwe didn't try walking for a week after just to spite him.
