The rain gently pattered against the window and roof outside as Laff laid on his side in his bed, Nadwe curled up in his arms as he held him close to his chest; not wanting to let him go. Laff stared down at him as he slept soundly in his arms, snoring softly.
Laff chuckled quietly and smoothed out Nadwe's hair gently "my son..." he kissed his head gently and smiled "I'm so glad you're home..." he rubbed his side gently "I'm never letting something like that happen again."
"I'm never letting Tbh watch you without someone else there ever again. We could have lost you..." he held Nadwe close to his chest "I don't care if you're a half-vampire or not, you're my son. I'm not going to let anything or anyone harm you."
His phone buzzed as he reached across the bed, picking it up and unlocking it. It was messages from the group chat he was a part of with the group.
Laff chuckled softly as he picked up his phone, opening the camera app. He changed where the camera was pointing and took a photo of Nadwe in his arm. Laff then opened the chat room back up and sent the photo with a caption.

"He's sleeping in my arm mates. Poor thing didn't let go of me until we made it back home." [Sent: 10:06am]
Laff sighed quietly before texting back.

"There are people trying to get him acquitted for his crimes and even more people tryin' to hold a trial." [Sent: 10:12am]
"They're trying to take Nadwe away from me again as well!" [Sent: 10:13am]

"Shroobz is having myself and Nadwe stay with him as part of a witness protection program. If Syce or any Beef Team Six members have been released on bail they know where I am and they could take Nadwe again." [Sent: 10:18am]

Laff chuckled quietly and turned off his phone "I'll deal with that later..." He set it back down as Nadwe squirmed and woke up, babbling. Laff looked down at him and smiled "Good morning son.." He carefully sat up and cradled Nadwe gently in his arms. He stood up and walked to the living room with Nadwe in his arms.
He gently sat Nadwe down on the couch and turned on the TV "Here you go, just stay right here and I'll be right back with breakfast." He walked over to the door and made sure it was locked before he walked to the kitchen to heat up a bottle.
Nadwe pulled himself sitting up against the couch cushions as he babbled, tapping his legs with his tiny hands. The TV changed to a commercial for a new game as Nadwe looked over, curious. It displayed the title screen art for the Doki Doki Literature Club game with Monika, Natsuki, Sayori, and Yuri on the screen; but Nadwe's eyes were trained on Monika.
He squealed happily and reached for the TV "Ahma-! The TV screen changed to a different commercial as Nadwe tilted his head, confused. He began fussing and pouted; he wanted Monika back on the screen. "Mo-na-!"
Laff chuckled softly, grabbing the bottle from the microwave and walked over "Here I am Nadwe, here I am." He picked Nadwe up and cradled him as he kept fussing. "Oh I know my son, I'm worried about the trial as well.." He held the bottle for Nadwe as he reluctantly started drinking the formula. "But don't worry, we're gonna stay with Uncle Shroobz and this whole nightmare will be over in no time.."
Nadwe held onto the bottle as he cooed quietly. Laff smiled softly, "You're gonna live a normal life, just like everyone else." He chuckled "of course with all your friends it wouldn't be considered 'normal. It would be...unique, yeah we'll say unique." He smiled softly and rocked Nadwe gently.

Nadwe pulled away from the bottle and hugged Laff's arm tightly "mnnammda"
Laff's eyes widened softly as he felt his heart melt, smiling "Oh mate, you're gonna make me cry." He held Nadwe close and put the bottle down on the coffee table. He leaned back on the couch and held Nadwe close to his chest, humming 'my sunshine' softly.
Nadwe yawned and stretched his arms, shifting and making himself comfortable on Laff's chest; gripping onto his shirt. Laff's eyes slowly closed as he ended up falling asleep on the couch with Nadwe on his chest. Nadwe noticed and smiled warmly, burying his face in Laff's chest, letting out a comfortable noise.
