"Tris! I told you to wake up an hour ago! There's a boy at the front door waiting for you." I jolt up. I didn't wake up! I sprint downstairs and let him in.

"Oh my sorry I didn't wake up! You can go if you want." I say sadly, turning away.

"It's fine! I'll stay. Can I come in?" I quickly nod and bring him up to my room. I open my dresser and grab random clothes.

"Be right back." I say, as I run to the bathroom. I put on the maroon bra, black leggings, and maroon crop top. I throw my hair into a messy bun and leave. Who cares about makeup.

"That was fast." Tobias says and I shrug. Then I smile.

"Let's go, I'm skipping food." He shakes his head, and I look at him in confusion.

"I'll buy you something at school." I know I won't get him to change his mind so I just nod and half smile. "Let's go."

As we walk down the street towards the school, Tobias slowly grabs my hand and interlocks our fingers. I look down at our hands and blush. But I still squeeze his hand tightly.

"I'm so glad I found you." I say out of nowhere. "Sorry. That was random."

He shakes his head while laughing. "You're fine!" I smile a little bit and we keep walking. In silence, but a comfortable one.

When we arrive to the school, a few girls, taller than me I might add, glares at me, and I get anxious. But when we reach our locker, I meet Christina with her giving the loudest squeal in the universe.

"I KNEW IT!" She screams, and I start shaking. I release his hand as the bad memories come back. I keep shaking my head and repeating, "No." I slide against the lockers and I hear my name being called. But I keep repeating the word 'no.'

The next thing I know is I'm being picked up by strong arms, and my world goes black.
