"I still can't get over the fact that I finally found you, Tris!" Tobias says, as we walk through the empty halls after school.
"I know right! And all our friends were so confused when we said we already knew each other!" I laugh as I say this, and I turn to walk to my locker. He follows me, and I see that his is right next to mine!
"Oh I see, all classes together, and our locker is right next to each other." He says, rolling his eyes. I put my hand to my chest in mock hurt, but start laughing with him.
"You know," I look around to see if anyone is near, "Tobias, I haven't laughed or smiled at school since I got here. And since I've seen you- I CANT stop!" He kind of freezes for a second, and I get nervous.
"Same Tris." Now he seems distant, but I look at his blue eyes as he tries opening his lock. He slams his hand on the locker door and my eyes widen. He shrugs. "Sorry, this is the only way I can get this thing open."
I nervously laugh a little. "You know, I can help you with this." He shrugs, but steps out of the way. He has his hand in the lock, "but I need to know the code first."
He chuckles. "It's 4-46-10" I nod, and when I touch his hand to turn the lock, a jolt of electricity sprouts through my hand. I move my hand away looking at it, and I guess he felt the same thing because he's doing the same thing.
I shrug it off and go back to teaching him. I make a few random sounds-like usual- before I get it open. "There ya go! You think you can do it yourself now."

He smirks a bit and nods. I roll my eyes and he tries to do it himself. Saying again, TRIES. "Are you sure you got it?" I say in a sarcastic tone.
"Wow, it's been 10 years, and you're still sarcastic." I grin as he says this. "And that same smile." I blush and look down. I try to avoid looking at his eyes, I could get lost in those things all day.
I notice he blushes and looks down too. Am I making him nervous? Really? A small blonde- and she's not pretty- making the infamous Tobias Eaton nervous.
"No your not making me nervous, and you aren't ugly." Now he's really blushing, and I laugh a lot.
"I know I'm not ugly, but I'm certainly not pretty." I say, keeping all seriousness in my face. Tobias rolls his eyes.
"So, you're not pretty? I like the way you look." Now I'm the one blushing, and now he's avoiding eye contact. Does he like me? Do I want him to like me?
"Do you- Uh" I cant even get the words out. He smirks a little, and grabs my cheeks. He presses his lips to mine.
A thousand fireworks go off inside my head.

A quick TL;DR pitch. LitRPG Apocalypse with group progression, a non-overpowered mc, a limited skill-slot System where having a single skill over your opponent could make a big difference. A barrier mage mc who isn’t an Edgelord A sentient System that’s a character in its own right. And no harem or cheat skills. ~<>~<>~ Steven knew the world had ended when a great green and purple dome covered the city of Anchorage. Then things got weirder. First earthquakes, then bolts fell from the sky, changing and twisting the things they hit. Steven, stuck in the throes of apathy, had sought shelter out of boredom more than anything else. But when some fellow survivors are separated and trapped by a rampaging moose, an emotion breaks through his apathy. He can’t turn away. Some people say it’s everyone for themselves at the end of the world. Steven disagreed ~<>~<>~ Will update every Sunday and Tuesday at 9:00am, unless the chapter is beefy, then we'll just have one that week. For some more meta details about this story, it’s a LitRPG Apocalypse with a focus on abilities and how they are used over stats and numbers. It will have group progression, a non-overpowered protagonist, and a focus on unique and interesting classes. No overwhelming advantages for the main crew or broken cheat skills. No harem, some amount of gore, decent levels of profanity.

I’m writing this all down because I don’t know what else to do with it. This whole experience has been so completely insane that I must record it so people in the future can understand what is going on. Maybe someday someone else can make sense of it. Maybe that person is you, I have no idea. JR awakens from a dream to find that he is late for work! When he tries to call in, he realizes that something is not right. That’s when his friend and co-worker, Frank, calls him and informs him of what just happened to their workplace. JR finds himself in a world that grows increasingly surreal with every passing day. There are basic facts about himself are missing from his memory. When was his birthday again? Taking place in Chicago in the near future, strange buildings, strange events and stranger people populate this world on the other side of the looking glass. JR is left to struggle with his new job and new surroundings, but luckily his old friend Frank is still there to help guide him. He makes many friends who have interesting takes on life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. First alerted by Frank, JR slowly becomes aware of a danger lurking in the background that is gradually spreading despite the fact that no one else seems to notice it or acknowledge that he might be on to something. All of this combines to make the novel Continuity about fear, anxiety and paranoia in a perplexing world that seems to be both real and not real at the same time. Rumored to be about 15 chapters and less than 200 pages the novel is written in a first person perspective that breaks the forth wall and will either leave you laughing with delight or scratching your head in confusion, or maybe both!? The one thing it won’t be is boring!
