《Arranged》Chapter Twenty Eight

She eagerly moved her lips against Ryder's, her body craving his touch.
It took him a second before he was moving his lips against her own, even faster than she was.
Her hips heated up with tingles as he grabbed a hold of her waist, the bond sensing electricity through them both.
Next thing she knew, Ryder had flipped them so he could pin her to the wall, her body erupting in warmth from his touch.
It was like they both were letting out their frustrations from being separated for the last couple of days.
She held her breath as she felt him take her bottom lip between his teeth, lightly biting down so she opened her mouth.
As soon as she parted her lips, Ryder slipped his tongue into her mouth, causing her to let out a small moan as she tried to keep up with his hungry kiss.
Although she had started this, she realized that he wasn't letting her have any control.
By the way he took over, empowering her, she knew he wasn't going to let off his dominance.
She didn't mind though, because she could almost feel his dominance and power radiating from his body, and the way it was engulfing her made her body explode with tingles.
Kristin had to pull away so she could catch her breathe, leaning her head back when she felt Ryder's lips trail down her jaw and over her neck.
His lips found a sensitive area of skin and another explosion of tingles filled her body as he began sucking on her neck.
She let out another breathy moan, wondering if their first kiss had been this good.
Her brain felt foggy, like she couldn't think straight, but it was a good feeling. All of her worry and anxiety disappeared as she solely focused on Ryder.
She felt amazing just being in his hold, his mouth on her neck.
"Ryder," she whispered as he gently bit her skin. What he was doing to her felt amazing but she knew what would happen if she didn't stop him. Especially since his wolf was at bay, he'd want to mark her.
She wasn't ready for that, though. She tried pushing on his chest, but it had no effect on him whatsoever.
Squeezing her waist, he growled into her neck.
"Who f*cking let her up here?" He growled out, suddenly pulling away to look at the door.
Kristin remained leaning against the wall, trying to catch her breath.
"What?" she asked as there was a knock on the door.

Ryder took a step away from her, the warmth between them disappearing.
The door flew open and in came an angry Allison, looking around the room to find Kristin, still with her back to the wall, and Ryder walking a few feet away.
"Turns out, I can be very convincing," she said, giving Kristin a smirk.
Kristin tried to compose herself, clearing her throat.
"How did you get up here?" she asked, trying her best to not make her voice sound normal.
Ryder noticed this too, and his dark eyes flew to hers before he looked back at Allison and growled.
She was about to reply but snapped her head in his direction when she heard his growl.
"Ryder," she stated stiffly, glaring at him.
He ignored her, crossing his arms over his chest.
Allison seemed to realize what she had interrupted then, because her eyes lit up.
"Ohhh, that's what was going on," she grinned at Kristin, raising her eyebrows.
Kristin rolled her eyes, trying not to blush. She took a deep breath and pushed herself off the wall, walking over to sit in a chair next to Allison.
Even if she wanted to, her legs were too shaky for her to remain standing.
"Please tell me you at least punched him before you started getting it on?" Allison frowned, although she was finding this situation very funny.
"Al," Kristin whined, giving her a look that said please stop talking.
"Why did you bring her," Ryder said with annoyance as he shot Allison a glare.
"Excuse me?" Allison spoke before Kristin could, "It was my idea to come here in the first place. If it wasn't for me, Kristin would still be lying in bed, in pain from the bond!"
Ryder side glanced Kristin when Allison mentioned her, his eyes softening slightly.
"We were coming here to teach you a lesson, but apparently Kristin ditched those plans," although she sounded angry at Ryder, her lips twitched upwards at Kristin.
"Stay out of our business," Ryder sneered, narrowing his eyes at her.
"Ryder," Kristin warned, giving him a pointed look.
"When Kristin is hurting because you're being an as*hole, it is my business," Allison put her hand on her hip, not about to back down.
"Get out of my territory," Ryder growled out, looking ready to shift again.
"It's Kristin's territory too, you know. Or is that why you told her she couldn't be the Luna, because you didn't want to share your territory."

Ryder growled and took a step towards her, Kristin shot up and ran in between them. Allison even took a step back, slightly frightened by his temper.
"Leave now," Ryder ordered, glaring at Allison.
"Ryder, calm down," Kristin said lowly, putting her hand on his chest.
"I will when she leaves," he growled, not taking his eyes off of Kristin's friend.
"If she leaves, then I'm going with her," Kristin threatened, not actually wanting to separate herself from him again.
Ryder's dark eyes flew to her, silently telling her he wasn't going to let her go.
"Let's go, Kristin," Allison said, clearly having a death wish.
"She's not going anywhere," Ryder said, grabbing Kristin's arm.
His hold was strong and it actually kind of hurt.
"Let go," Kristin tried pulling her arm out of his hold, "I'm going wherever I want to go."
"Ryder!" She repeated until he finally released his hold.
She took a step back, rubbing her arm and giving him a disapproving look.
"I'm walking out of this room, and if you try to stop me things between us will only get worse," Kristin warned him, leading Allison towards the door.
Ryder remained where he was, fuming.
Kristin jumped when she heard an angry growl escape him and she turned to see Allison sticking her tongue out at him.
"Allison!" She scolded, yanking her out the door and down the hallway.
"What?" She smiles innocently.
"Are you five?" Kristin asked flatly, giving her a disapproving look.
"Let's just get out of here," she said shrugging.
"Actually," Kristin said, stopping her from walking away.
"Don't say it," Allison pointed to her.
"I'm staying here for a while," Kristin finished, ignoring Allison's pouting.
"Before you walked in, Ryder and I were actually talking things out. I mean, he was super angry and almost shifted, but we were still working things out."
"Was that before you started making out?" Allison raised a brow, smirking.
Kristin failed at hiding her blush, and just shook her head at her.
"We still have a lot to talk about. I still have a lot to say," Kristin tried convincing her friend.
After a minute, Allison finally gave in.
"Fine, but on one condition. When you go talk to him, you need to tell him to stop being an as*hole to you."
"Okay," Kristin grinned, happy her friend understood how important it was that she wanted to stay and talk.
"Also to me," she muttered, frowning at Ryder's office door.
Kristin rolled her eyes, "You two act so immature."
"He started it," she shrugged. "How will you get home later?"
"I'll just take one of his cars. Oh, and Allison, do me a huge favor and take the guard with you?"
Allison huffed, "Fine, but he's so boring. I don't think he said a single word yet."
"Just convince him to go with you," she waved her friend off.
"Yeah, yeah, you owe me," Allison waved as she walked down the stairs.
Kristin waited a full minute after Allison left, taking a few deep breathes before going back.
"Thank heavens she's gone," Ryder's voice made her spin around.
He was leaning out of the doorway, looking a little less angry than before.
"Ryder, she's my friend," Kristin walked back to him.
"I've heard that one before," he said, rolling his eyes.
"We still need to talk," Kristin walked passed him and sat in the chair across from his desk.
"We've been talking," Ryder groaned, walking over to stand in front of her.
"No, you got angry and almost shifted."
"Fine, let's talk," he snapped, going to sit behind his desk.
"I'm not talking to you until you calm down," she furrowed her brows.
Ryder growled, "I can't help it. My wolf gets really angry so f*cking easily now that I'm an Alpha."
"Stop swearing."
"Okay, mom," he scowled, leaning back in his chair.
"Okay, I'm going to get straight to the point. I want to be Nightfall's Luna, and I want to stay here with you because you're my mate."
Ryder shook his head at her, "Okay."
"On one condition," she added, watching his lips turn into a frown again.
She knew the only way they could make this work, was if she laid down some ground rules first. She just didn't want to tell him all of her conditions. (Yes, she had more than one.) She didn't have many, it was just that she wasn't looking forward to saying the last one.

Checkpoint
as an anomaly sweeps the world, many gain strange abilities. as for Mal, the power makes it so they cannot die, or more accurately, they get sent back in time to the last place they were safe at. A power that seems like a blessing until you’re crushed under rubble, drowned in sewage, shot, stabbed, all while having the royalties to feel all the pain from such fates. And to put the icing on the cake, a strange message appeared before everyone’s eyes stating that unless someone breaks down the gate within 17 years, everyone will die”. now Mal needs to find a way to “break down the gate” (whatever the hell that means) or they will be forced to die and revive, only to die again for the rest of time. Which would suck, probably. /————————————————— this is technically a time loop novel. the MC is chaotic neutral with a worryingly lack of care about how their actions affect people. i want to interact with my readers so give critique and suggestions. I will sometimes host polls for the personality for new characters, story decisions, and the ability to cancel annoying characters, besides Mal, if they get enough complaints. I am also impatient and will end decision polls when I want to write more. If no one votes, I choose, so don’t let that happen. if you’re want world building check out hitchhikers guide to checkpoint (an encyclopedia of what I made up with lots more explanation)

Two And A Half Deadmen
Silver-Spruce is a very strange and very haunted town. Ghosts inhabit its buildings and walk its streets. Some of them friendly and sane. Some of them not so much. Alder helps ghosts. Helps them fulfill their last requests so they can move on to whatever comes next. Sometimes the ghosts aren't so friendly and have to be moved on by force. Alder does that as well. And he's gotten rather good at it too. After a particularly rough exorcism, he finds himself following a strange ghost to a local tourist attraction. And while Alder never means to find himself caught up in chaos, monsters, magic, and mayhem always seem to have a way of finding him. You want more specifics for what you're reading? Here you go: This is Urban-fantasy but a little bit of a different spin. Often the protagonists in such stories tend to be the bigger fish in their world, or at least far from small fry. Be they legendary boogie men or badass wizards (which is in no way a bad thing, I love a lot of those stories.) But I thought it would be fun to have a protagonist who's far closer to the bottom end of the scale. He has some magic, and it's potent in its own way. But he isn't the big dog or a fighting machine. Outside of his bubble of influence, our protagonist is essentially a normal human as far as powers are concerned. And while you should be warned that this story will get dark in some places it's (hopefully) balanced out by humor and the lighter stuff. I'm not sure how to end this synopsis section so I'll just say bye. Bye!

Discover the world with Alz as he sets off on an adventure, experiencing many new encounters, and overcoming obstacles along the way as he slowly delved deeper into the truths behind the world. --- IMPORTANT NOTE: This story is not fantasy-themed and not I didn't omit the fantasy tag by mistake. That said, there is meaning and significance to the title, except that it will be unveiled only much later into the story. Magical elements and the like will not be a factor in most of the story until the very end. tl;dr: This is not fantasy, magic doesn't play a role in the story. --- Updates: Will try to post a chapter once every 2 days PS. This is my first novel so there might be several issues in various aspects which I might not notice so comments are highly appreciated. --- This is more to add pressure to myself rather than anything else... but anyways the story is now part of the pledge!
