Omari had to admit last night was night, incredible even. He had a good healthy testosterone level and had a visit from Empress Rehema, later getting to make love to her later on.

Omari woke up beside Rehema, as she was still sleeping. Dawn was breaking and it was quiet this early in his house. He smiled down at Rehema, as she was curled up beside him comfortably on his master bed. He placed his hand gently on her forehead, careful not to wake her up. Finally, things seemed to be steering better. You have to throw a couple of threats here and there before people start to do their damn jobs in this damn harem. His sister was going to buzz, this meant if the empress was to get pregnant any time soon, he really could be the father.

Rehema stirred, opening her eyes slowly blinking, and waking up. She noticed Omari looking over her and smiled back at him murmuring a good morning.

"You were really energetic last night," Rehema remarked causing Omari to blush, she sat up and stretched her arms.

"Well, that's what you do to me, your majesty..." Omari murmured, he brought Rehema closer to him by her waist. "Are you hungry?" He asked squeezing Rehema's belly causing her to giggle.

"Yeah, I guess we should have breakfast," Rehema rubbed her cheek on Omari causing him to blush.

"Tano!" Omari yelled, trying to get his main servant to the room.

Tano came in swiftly into the room, and bent down on a knee, "Good morning your majesty and his highness."

"Can you get the royal kitchen to start breakfast, Empress Rehema will be eating here," Omari asked him.

Tano nodded and Omari dismissed him. He noticed from the corner of his eyes; the empress had a gentle warm smile on her face as she looked at him. Tano couldn't deny her beauty was soft and lovely in the morning. She had a pleasant glow. Tano left the room wishing he was the one lying beside her.

"My morning bath, do you care to join me?" Omari asked turning back to the empress doing a pouty face.

"I have work Omari, I can't spend all morning here with you as much as I would love to," Rehema was searching for her clothes on the luxury cheetah printed fabric floor.

Omari helped her dress, finding her dress from last night on his side of the bed.

"Ugh don't make that face," Rehema said noticing that Omari was still pouting.

"Please, just one bath after breakfast, it won't hurt." He was now hugging her waist from the bed, as she was standing at the side of the bed. Even though all the scheming and the drama, dealing with Chike he truly did love her and loved every second of being with her. One thing he could never fake was his heart's true feelings.

Rehema rolled her eyes, "fine, your win. How could I say no to this face anyway? My spoiled sweetheart," Rehema said pitching his cheeks in a gentle fun way. Omari responded to her with a perfect teeth smile.

After a hearty breakfast and bathing in Omari's backyard together sharing the same tub, Rehema had left, and Tano waved goodbye from her at the gate of his house.

"The coronation is just in two weeks. I might not be able to visit often, so be good, and don't make a fuse," Rehema knew Omari could be a drama queen sometimes, probably got it from his dreadful sister.

"Don't forget about me," Omari pouted.

Rehema smiled, playing with one of the dreads on his head, "How could I, don't worry okay." She hugged him and went to her carriage, which rode off down the pathway.

Omari watched the carriage ride down when he suddenly heard clapping, his neighbors, the two concubines ranked under him were standing a few feet away from him across his house gate.

"What you two doing here?" Omari asked. It was the two noble consorts, Jafari and Emad. They both had joined Rehema's harem around the same time, both of them being Egyptian and originally from the Egypt county.

"We wanted to stop by to hang out, we can clearly see you had a busy evening with her majesty," Jafari said flipping his hair. Jafari's long perfectly straight hair complimented his light sun-kissed skin. Emad on the other hand had smooth dark brown skin, and his brown hair was a short clean-cut bob, decorated with gold pieces. Both men had their eye -makeup and eyeliner done, bringing out their eyes, especially Jafari's red ones. They both also were dressed in wrapped around skirts, with a tunic top, and lavish golden belt. One thing about the Egyptians is they always had the best fashion and gold of the season.

It was one of the main reasons Omari kept Jafari and Emad close to him, their beauty and handsome upbringing was something he could use in his favor, especially when it came to style and jewelry.

"Beside nothing wrong with your friends coming over to see you," Emad threw out with a smile.

Omari scuffed, turning around to walk back to his house. He didn't see them as anything but pets to use to do his bidding and spread gossip. It was comedy to him that they actually thought they were in the same league, that Omari Dalli would truly think they were his friends.

"Finally, some more action going on in this harem lately, you correctly in second place of her majesty's heart," Jafai mentioned, as he and Emad followed Omari past his house gate.

"Second?" Omari repeated sounding insulted.

"The Ugandan one, from the rich business family, he's probably the Empress's favorite at the moment."

Omari suddenly remembered, was he the one that go in the way of him punishing a lower rank concubine?

"Really...He's the current favorite," Omari said in a low tone.

"So far, her majesty has a streak of visiting his house every night," Emad mentioned. "I don't get it, we're far more attractive than him, and yet he is being spoiled."

"Most be his family name, plus he is stylish and smooth with charm," Jafari with a shrug.

"Interesting," Omari murmured. He couldn't help but feel excited as well, it's been a while since he had competition, the rest of the harem was a joke, and Chike was being more boring, older, and dull by the day.

"May the best man win, her majesty's heart," Omari said with a smirk, walking back to get inside his house.

Sang-chul was admiring the flowers in the Garden Walkway, with Apophis and Ivan. They usually spend their evenings like this with their servants hanging out in the back carefully watching over them and coming to their needs when they need help.

Sang-chul's favorite part about moving to the Africa Lands was the heat. It was summer all year, nothing but warmth, and the flowers were always blooming.

Sang-chul smiled as he ran his fingers through the soft petals. Ivan was admiring the gift given to him by the empress last week. It was made of a glass figure shaped like an elephant, it glistened in the sun when they stepped outside. It was nice to the light of the figure reflect on the flowers, which Apophis and Sang-chul were admiring. The pleasant evening turned into a tense one the minute they heard a voice clear behind them.

The three men turned around to see Omari Dalli, the imperial noble consort. Sang-chul quickly went to kneel, and so did Apophis and Ivan. Sang-chul looked over the corner to see Addo, and the other servants kneeling as well.

"Greetings your grace," the three men said in unison.

Omari rolled his eyes telling them to rise. When they stood up Omari held his gaze on Ivan, giving him a mean glare.

Sang-chul's stomach tensed noticing this, he heard of how cruel Omari can be and seeing that Ivan was the favorite among the empress right now, this could only mean trouble.

Omari sniggered, "you must be the current favorite low-rank wonder." He walked closer to Ivan, "Care to tell what you three low ranks are even doing here at the garden."

"We were just playing with a newly gifted item of mine in the garden, would you care to join us, your highness?" Ivan asked politely not bothering to snap back at Omari's cheap insults.

Omari looked at the elephant glass statue in Ivan's hand, and his eyes widened. An expensive item like that could only come from one person. Omari remembered when he first started his marriage with Rehema, and he had gotten one of those. Omari felt heat building in him.

"Your highness?" Ivan asked noticing Omari's face turning red. Sang-chul and Apophis took a step back.

Omari grabbed the gift from Ivan, violently throwing it to the floor and stomping on it right in front of Ivan.

Omari's hazel eyes kept his eyes on Ivan waiting for him to react, but Ivan remained neutral.

"I'm sorry, your upset your highness," he said kneeling to him. "I don't understand your anger, have I don't something wrong?"

Omari fisted balled beside him. He wanted Ivan to give him a reason to punish him, some sort of reaction that Omari could use against him. But Ivan remained calm, with no care that Omari just broke his first gift from the empress.

"Get out of my fucking sight," Omari spat. "All three of you go to your homes."

"I understand your highness and wish for your anger to be resolved. Let's go Sang-chul and Apophis," Ivan stood up, and started to walk away, passing by Omari and his guards, with no other emotion but unbothered.

Sang-chul and Apophis were bewildered as they walked away, their servant followed closely behind them.

"Ivan, you seriously going to let him get away with that?" Sang-chul asked in a whisper when they were far enough.

"With what?" Ivan asked, like what happened a minute ago was irrelevant.

Sang-chul stepped in front of Ivan blocking him, "With ruining the first gift the Empress gave you. With talking to you like that. His highness Omari is practically a bully overstepping his line. He humiliated you for no reason but mere jealousy."

Ivan shrugged, "What he did was wrong, but I pity Omari more than fear him, revenge is useless for me to chase." Ivan then continued to walk unfazed. Sang-chul and Apophis looked at each other confused about Ivan's uncare for such disrespect. They simply shrugged at each other before following Ivan who was going back to his house.

Ekon looked at the water lock, Chike was late again. Ekon sighed, he didn't mind, it would be better if Chike didn't show up at all. For the past week, Chike has been trying to dominate control of the coronation planning. Choosing everything with getting approval from the boards, including food, invitations, decorations, her outfit changes, and the later evening party.

"We shall wait maybe a few more minutes for his highness," one of the advisors spoke up.

"Fuck that we will start without him," Ekon sassed going on. He started to grab his papers and look over some of his notes, and that was when Chike entered. His gold Agbada was trailing on the floor, with powerful long sleeves dangling on his arms.

"Greetings. Your highness," The committee said in unison, everyone except Ekon.

"About time you choose to show up," Ekon announced, noticing that Chike had time to dress up.

"Many duties this morning," Chike said as he went to the second head of the seat. Silence waved in the room as Chike took his place. "Let's start reviewing the confirmed agenda and tasks."

"Confirmed?" Ekon asked with an eyebrow raised.

"Is there a problem?" Chike asked.

"The committee doesn't appreciate your approach to the coronation, you are not accommodating everyone's idea," Ekon answered. No other person dared to speak in the conversation.

"Really?" Chike questioned. "I feel like I have been very open-minded through this entire committee and that doesn't matter anyway. What matters is approaching the coronation the way her majesty wants it."

"And you don't feel like the rest of us are doing that?" Ekon asked.

"You're caring too much about what you like and not what her majesty likes, so yes I do."

Ekon's lip twitched, this know-it-all attitude of Chike, was putting him on thin ice.

Ekon tried his best to not look annoyed. Chike needed to know that he was the Emperor Dowager, which outranked the emperor.

"Chike as the Emperor Dowager, I say anything that needs to be confirmed for the coronation must first go through me, plain and simple. You cannot be making decisions this fast without us."

Chike's eyes stayed glued on Ekon, who stared at him back. Ekon couldn't read his face, it was impossible to tell if he was angry, annoyed, or anything else.

Chike nodded, "I understand, we shall go over each decision with each other closely your majesty. We all want a successful coronation after all."

Ekon squinted his eyes on Chike feeling a bit suspicious but let it go. He was exhausted from fighting dominance with Chike over this project. They finally formally started the committee meeting to go through the whole agenda.

After the closing point, Chike wanted to make some remarks, but Ekon blocked them.

"That is all for today, Chike. Let's discuss more next meeting," He said with a yawn, collecting his files. He got up from the seat and everyone dismissed themselves. Chike was the last to leave, feeling frustrated and embarrassed. Ekon dared to want to silence him on this project. Chike turned to the valet that stood behind him and gave him a nod. His valet nodded back understanding what Chike wanted.

After the committee meeting, Chike went back to his house. His main servant helped him undress and get the bath ready. After the bath was all done, he went to finish up his nightly moisturizing before he went to sleep.

"Did you, do it?" Chike asked his personal valet he was close with as he lotioned up his leg.

He nodded firmly saying yes.

"Good," Chike said, finishing up moisturizing himself before he attended to sleep. "Let's see how long her majesty will tolerate Ekon's mistakes. This should remove his insufferable self from the committee."
