《Seventeen One-Shots》(1)|Dino| (REVISED)

You were sitting in the bleachers during PE with your friends, watching the boys play dodge ball. "I swear if I get hit...I'm sueing." You said to your friends. "If you get hit we're all gonna laugh." One of them said. You were sitting at the very front, very center, prime location for a rogue dodge ball. You glared at all your friends. "Dino wouldn't let her get hit though." Another friend said. You turned red. Chan was a guy you really really really liked. "That isn't even his name! Shut up!" You yelled, resenting the nickname they gave him. Suddenly a dodge ball came flying at you. You were so scared that it came at you in slow motion. It didn't hit you though. Chan came out of nowhere and hit the ball away from you. "Who threw that!?" He demanded. "Told you Dino wouldn't let her get hit." Your friends laughed. "You okay (y/n)?" He asked you. You nodded with a stupid smile on your face. "Can you two just get together already?" A friend said. "Yeah. Its so obvious Dino likes you just as much as you like him." Another friend said. "Why do all of you call him Dino? That nickname is so stupid." You said. "He looks like a dinosaur." A friend said bluntly.

After PE you and Chan walked to Chemistry together. You weren't paying attention and suddenly half the class had balloons. "I want a balloon." You said quietly. "Here. Take mine." Chan said, handing you his balloon. You smiled to your self as you took it and began tossing it in the air. "Thanks Din-...Chan." you said, hating yourself for almost using that stupid nickname.

After school you stood at your locker, still playing with the balloon.

You noticed something inside it...a piece of paper. You reluctantly popped it to retrieve the note. You opened it up to read it and your heart beat stopped. "Do you wanna go on a date and get ice cream after school?" It read. You were overwhelmed with happiness. You didn't know what to do with yourself. You closed your locker door and Chan was standing there. "I'll take that as a yes." He laughed with pink cheeks.

I reread this and wanted to cry.

I had loosely based this One-Shot off of some stuff that happened between my ex-best friend and her ex-boyfriend. It brought back such happy memories of her.
