《The Nerd and The Frog》Deals and Compromises

It was if the world had stopped moving, his entire body frozen in place when he heard Thomas speak. His green eyes, wide in shock, shifted over to look at the taller classmate to his left. Alan watched Thomas carefully as he moved away to stand in front of him once again. He was at a loss for words, his mouth shut tightly as he stared back at Thomas in complete disbelief.
"Fuck... no." Alan softly forced out, as his mind began to process everything fully once again.
"Ok, that's fine, Alan. It just means that I start talking without hesitation." Thomas replied back calmly, that same smile on his face. Any passerby would assume they were having a normal conversation, not one of ultimatums. "I don't see anything wrong with this agreement."
"EVERYTHING is wrong about this agreement, you asshole." Alan spoke clearly, but softly, his mixed emotions appearing on his face. "Are you fucking insane?"
"Quite. But you knew that already, didn't you Alan?" Thomas replied as he pushed aside a strand of hair from his face. "Meet me at the baseball field during lunch. As soon as that bell finishes ringing, you have ten minutes to get there. If you don't, I start sending out a mass text to the entire school regarding Daniel Lang." Thomas added, as he reached over to gently pat Alan on his left shoulder, feeling him flinch underneath him slightly. "...and you know that I'm not bluffing."
With that, Thomas walked away without a second thought, passing Alan entirely as he continued down the hallway.
Alan stood there, a spinning sensation coming over him as he stared off into nothingness. All sounds and noises disappeared from his ears, his entire body numb in feeling.
Fuck no. I cannot... I won't... I have to get out of this...
It wasn't until he felt someone poke him on the shoulder softly that he finally jumped and looked over in surprise. Of course, the person to snap him out of his dazed state was Daniel.
"Hey, I've been calling you for a good minute." Daniel stated with a smile. "You alright?"
Alan stared at him, trying to force himself to react normally. "Yeah... a bit... overwhelmed..." Alan spoke nervously, a small smile on his face.
"Overwhelmed? Did something happen?" Daniel asked, confused.
"Everything happened...." Alan stated, taking a deep sigh. "I don't like this entire situation."

"What do you mean?" Daniel asked, concerned.
"I've been getting stared at all morning, people keep whispering or openly stating how different I look and I just got pulled into-" He cut himself off at the last part, looking at Daniel carefully. "Nevermind. I'm just... uncomfortable."
"Well, that happens when you completely change up your style." Daniel reassured him. "You look great, by the way. You did an awesome job with the entire outfit, and your hair looks great."
"Thanks..." Alan replied back with a smile, though inside he was screaming in utter frustration.
This fucking SUCKS! I wonder if I could get away with murder... No one would know Thomas was buried in my backyard. FUCK. My god... Daniel has no fucking clue what I'm going through just to keep him safe. He owes me FUCKING BIG.
With that thought, Alan finally realized exactly what he wanted from Daniel in return for that kiss he gave him when he was a frog. Granted, it would probably be impossible to get, but he did say anything.
I'll tell him later. Not today. I have too much shit to take care of...
"Can we meetup later? I'm going to need some guidance on how to get through this day without running out of here screaming." Alan joked lightly, seeing Daniel laugh.
"You free during homeroom? I can always ask my teacher if I can hop over to your room." Daniel asked.
"Sure, I'm free." Alan stated with a nod.
"Awesome, I'll see you then." Daniel replied, patting Alan gently on the shoulder. "You'll be fine! Just take it in a positive viewpoint. Who knows what will come out of all this?"
What will come out of all this? Someone dying by being thrown off the roof of this building sounds like a good compromise to me, honestly.

Alan nervously made it through the entire first period of the day, with more stares and shocked expressions collectively happening throughout. Even his teacher was taken aback, surprisingly giving him compliments on his new look. This just made Alan hyperaware that he was that different in appearance and began to wonder if he looked that bad previously.
"Christ... did I look like a bum or something...?" Alan muttered to himself as the bell rang to signal the end of first period. He gathered his things and made his way to homeroom, letting Daniel know where his room was via text message.

Walking down the hallway, his gaze staying on his phone as he couldn't take the stares any longer. Having pretty much memorized the hallways and paths to his classes at this point, he made his way along, bumping into someone along the way.
"Sorry..." he stated softly, glancing up to look at them.
"Rude..." an Asian girl stated, her look annoyed, before she blinked in amazement, her whole demeanor changing. "I mean... it's fine..."
Alan stared at her again, having seen her entire face change in seconds. This whole look is working miracles.
"Yeah, sorry..." he stated again, a little more confident and sincere this time, showing a small smile before he walked down the hall.
OK... maybe it's not THAT bad.
His mind was beginning to accept that just possibly, not looking like a homely nerd may have its benefits. As he entered into homeroom, the bell having rang once he walked in, he took a seat at his desk, pulling out his calculus textbook to finish up a problem he was working on last night after dinner. While he was working on his problem, he got a text message and opened his phone calmly, seeing Nicolette had sent him a message.
Alan paused, wondering if he should actually mention this to Nicolette or not. This was becoming more complicated. The only reason that Thomas knew Daniel Lang was gay, was because Alan ended up telling Thomas in a round-about, tricky manner. But, that means Alan would have to explain to Nicolette how he found out that he was gay anyway, as well as explain why Alan didn't want Daniel to know he was gay as well.
However, his attention was completely taken as he got another text message, this time from Daniel.
Confused, Alan quickly replied back to the message, unsure of why he needed to meet Daniel in the bathroom.
Alan reread the text message again, seeing the grammatical errors. SHIT. Something's wrong...
Without a second thought, Alan walked up to his teacher and asked for a hall pass to the boy's restroom, making his way quickly out the room and walking hurriedly down the hall. He almost practically ran once he rounded a corner and passed a few more lockers to run into the restroom, pushing the door open and walking inside. It was completely empty and silent. He stood by the entrance, trying to understand why Daniel asked him to come in here.
"Daniel, you here?" Alan asked, perplexed. Again, he was met with silence. Slowly, he began walking to the stalls, peeking underneath the doors to see if maybe Daniel was inside one. He passed 3 before he got to the final stall, and was surprised to see a pile of clothes resting on the floor. He blinked, confused, before he recognized a jacket.
"Oh shit, Daniel!" He stated, trying to open the stall door, yet it was locked from the inside. Dropping to his hands and knees, Alan crawled his way under the door, finally inside as he looked through the pile of clothes to see a now unconscious frog resting in the middle of the clothes.
"Oh no..." Alan spoke softly, a worried expression on his face. "We really have to figure out what causes this to happen..."
He held Daniel in his hands carefully, his frog body limp and unmoving. It then crossed his mind that he would have to kiss him again, a slight shudder running through him at the thought.
"GOD... if only I got to kiss him when he was in human form. Would be SO much better than kissing a slimy ass frog..." he groaned, frowning at the same time.
Holding a comatose Daniel up to his face, he leaned over and pressed his lips against Daniel's frog ones, immediately pulling back once he placed a kiss on them. It took everything in him to not puke.
However, nothing happened.
"The hell...?" Alan spoke, somewhat worried. "Why... isn't he turning back?" He looked over Daniel carefully, still seeing that he was unconscious. He poked him lightly, holding a finger against his body to make sure he was still alive, feeling a gentle pulse. Then, a thought occurred to him, which made his panic.
"Oh fuck... he needs to be awake."

The Hazards of Skinny Dipping
This isn't a deep book about first loves or self-discovery. If you want a book like that, I'd be happy to recommend one, but I don't have that kind of story to tell. Instead my story is about rash decisions and finding out that your dream guy is bad in bed. It's the story of when I finally went skinny dipping, and how my life was never the same again. Oh, and it's also the story of my freshman year of college and realizing Mr. Right might have been there all along.
